Almost everything was very good to excellent but the Greek salad with no lettuce was a complete ripoff. There was barely anything in the bowl for $8. I mean 3 slices of cucumber, a couple tomato wedges a few chunks of feta and some croutons. For $8 or so I had added grilled chicken which was a tiny portion but thank god or it would have bedbugs like not even eating. I really should have said something and asked to be refunded. Cannot recommend that at all. The wedge salad was massive for the same price. It’s unfortunate they didn’t notice as they carried these out. Disappointing! But my families meals of burgers, calamari, the chips app etc were all very good! I was the big loser on my choice! ☹️☹️

Unfortunately our food experience wasn’t great in the aspect that I ordered a filet mignon cooked medium that had to go back to the kitchen twice because it was raw and while this occurred my husband had to ask for his plate to be taken back so we could eat together. They didn’t not give me a new cut of steak and his salmon was quite dry so to them not remaking his, but placing it under a heat lamp. When the bill came they offered us free desert which we declined and then they only took 20% off. My husband has previously worked in the restaurant business and had a conversation with our waitress leading to my steak being comped. So overall satisfaction wasn’t great.

Great menu, and the food was delicious as always. Love this place, weather for drinks and apps at the bar or for a great st down meal with family and friends.

There was a spider crawling in my salad. Waitress was like ok sorry.
Then my pot stickers came out stone cold. The waitress then got the manager. At this point I was just done.
She did take off our salads... but when I got the check my totally uneaten pot stickers were still on my check. Again I asked to see the manager, who hesitated but did take it off.

I have been working with these too traveling nurses who loved loved your restaurant and have eaten there in the last 13 weeks at least twice a week. We go there and those two always get the filet. I think of all the money we spent there and to have to beg to not pay for the spider salad (which they both saw in my salad) and the stone cold pot stickers?

I am not impressed ! I guess this is why we were one of 5 tables on a Friday night???

I don’t normally leave reviews, I’m not a picky person. But I guess I just expected a lot more from such a pricey restaurant. My boyfriend and I went to the Canoe last night for date night. We saw lots of good reviews and thought we’d give it a try. We ordered drinks- both of which were good (whiskey-neat and the blackberry marg). We got the Calamari for an appetizer which was great! My boyfriend ordered the strip steak and green beans which he said was good and I got the haddock sandwich (a safe choice, I thought). The haddock was way over cooked and tasted fishy. It took some effort to pull it apart with my fork and knife (wasn’t eating it as a sandwich) when It would normally just flake off. I ate maybe half of one of the large pieces of fish that were on the plate. I was so disappointed. I didn’t think the food was worth the $100+ bill.

Aside from the poor fish an chips, the restaurant was absolutely freezing! Bring your coat if you’re going anytime soon! (Bedford location)

Our waitress was friendly and helpful.

Beautiful Mountain country decor. Nice open dinner area. My husband has the filet and I had the swordfish. Nice relaxing dinner after a long drive to the area for a family wedding. It was recommended by the hotel we stayed at. Nice choice.

The restaurant has no personality. It seems very generic. I ordered a salad and the food was not fresh at all.
The waitress was very nice, I felt sorry for her that she has to work there.

Kevin was amazing. Food was timed perfectly. We were not rushed. We were a party of 10 and it was my daughters graduation party. My husband and I have sat at the bar on occasion. We will be back!

App, entrees very good.
Disappointed in dessert, carrot cake.
Service was awful, once again. Numerous things, including not bringing salad, even with reminder.
Won't be back for awhile.

Apps were great, oysters rockafeller and pretzels. Drinks were tall poor and reasonable. Steak tips were either overcooked or rare (ordered medium), but haddock was delicious. Reservation at 7:30 with maybe 10 other tables sat in very large dining room and service was still incredibly slow. Took 15 minutes for a glass on wine.

Went for graduation dinner and it was great. Food was awesome, as was the service and drinks. The portions were huge, the porkchop was enormous. The Manhattans are made strong and the wine pours were generous, which was nice. Lobster mac & cheese had a ton of lobster in it. Ribeye was well seasoned and cooked exactly as ordered. The atmosphere is very cool and a little different. Kind of feels like an upscale ski lodge. The bar seating is pretty large, and we were seated at a table in a corner with a half wall which gave us nice privacy and felt as though we'd rented out a private room. Will definitely come back for more!

Great food and atmosphere. The entrees are a bit pricey, especially the steaks, but overall it is a great place to eat. Service was pretty good too and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I would not recommend this restaurant. Every experience I’ve had here as been awful. Although, the food is outstanding, the service is so terrible that I instantly regret giving it another chance each time I’ve gone. This time it started when my friend asked if a particular ingredient in a drink was spicy and our waiter said in a very Condescending tone, “I don’t know, I’ve never had it”. She went with a different drink because he wouldn’t get the answer for her. She asked for no sugar on the rim. When it came out with sugar, she pointed it out and he became irritated and blamed the bartender. Our appetizer came out undressed and again he blamed the kitchen. At the end of dinner my friends husband asked if there was coconut in one of the desserts, the waiter seemed unsure but said no anyway. My friend pointed out that he was allergic to coconut and the waiter said in a more confident tone that there was none in it. The dessert arrived and you could literally see the coconut on it. I then asked to speak to a manager. She came out, I explained the situation. She just stood there looking at me, never apologized, never said a single thing except - you can always ask to be seated in a different section. The waiter then came back and my 10 year old daughter was eating said dessert, (as she is not allergic) and he took it away from her as she was eating off of the plate and said he wasn’t going to leave it with us since someone at our table was allergic. He then brought the bill and said the manager took the dessert off of the bill. Really?? Like as if she was doing us a favor by taking it off the bill- never mind that it could have become a medical issue for the actual person who ordered it. And this was just this time. We’ve been there 2 other times and they were very similar. Never again. I’m done.

Bread and butter to start - tiny bread slice delicious and fresh. Blueberry and balsamic spread - so good!!
Appetizer - none
Meals - warm lobster roll with melted butter and french fries - my wife said it was fresh and perfectly cooked.
Haddock dinner - expertly prepared, haddock light and flaky. Spinach steamed just as I like it, not overdone and mushy. The same for the finger potatoes. Excellent meals.
Dessert - we always check out the dessert option, but rarely select one. Today we were full, but we're drawn to the chocolate triple layer cake. So, we got it. Well ... we made the mistake of ordering this dessert being full ... because we could not stop eating it. It wasn't too rich, but very satisfying!!
Service - Allie was very attentive and knowledgeable about the restaurant and all the options. We didn't have to wait too long and the food was nice and hot when it arrived.
We will definitely be back and highly recommend Canoe!

Great food as always. The place was packed so service was a little slower than we would have liked. Arrived at 7:15 for a 7:30 res...got seated at 7:40. Finished dinner after 10.

Other than that, it was great as usual!

Had a wonderful dining experience at Canoe on Saturday night. The food and service were top-notch. Ambiance was also up to par.
Only caveat is that it was a Saturday night, was very busy, and a bit noisy. But that is to be expected....

Although we enjoyed the service and food, the lighting by the wall is pretty dark whereas it was hard to see the menu. Maybe thing about changing the lighting. Thank you

The host was really nice yet it quickly came to light that they were understaffed for a weekend lunch. The onion soup was cold, lobster bisque was cold, Greek salad was bland and huge shrimp had the chemically taste. Everything took a long time.

Children’s steak was burned and had no seasoning.

Overall, bad day for them.

Although my dinner took longer than usual, Mike our server did everything he could to keep us abreast of the progress of the meal. The chef even provided us with a delicious appetizer at no charge while we waited. I can't say enough about the exemplary service, attentiveness of the server and quality of the meal. Great place and will go there often and recommend to all I know.

It's a good restaurant but it is just overpriced. There are no real attributes that place it above other area restaurants to validate the higher price point. The craft beer selection was greatly lacking. Staff were nice and the facility itself is ok, but again nothing that places it above other local eats. The customer value is just not there to return again.

It was my first time there. Reserved open sitting on line. Not sure what open sitting means. When I arrived I asked to change to another location. Something more private. Was told heavily booked and that table is popular. Which made no sense to me. Many open spots almost right up to when we left. My chair was bumped into multiple times by people going to the right, once by a child. Food was very good. A bit pricey. Not sure if I would go back. I did not appreciate being dismissed concerning a table change. Thank you

Been there several times with great experiences. This night was not their best. The staff seemed to be rushed and overwhelmed. The dishes were not up the usual standard.
