   Herschel was superb! There were two first timers amongst us. He provided an excellent overview of Canoe and its owners and beginnings. He explained the menu and provided great recommendations. Our location in a booth facing the river was perfect. Since was Derby Day. I enjoyed my Mint Julep.

   We were very disappointed by our date night dinner at Canoe. After reading rave reviews, and seeing many other tables presumably enjoy their night, we were hoping for a great meal. We started with the smoked salmon signature app, it was on a “potato cake” that was crunchy and difficult to cut, almost verging on stale. Their bread service certainly was stale. Sourdough was tough to break apart and not good. Our entrees were rabbit and lamb. The lamb was cooked correctly, but served cold. The rabbit was tough. The accoutrements for both were lackluster, from the tortellini that tasted like the ground to the risotto that was oddly sweet, we did not enjoy it. The other topping with the rabbit was bitter and very strange on the plate. For the ticket price we did not enjoy our evening at all. Service was fine, but this is a very loud setting as well, not perfect for an intimate date night at all. Unfortunately, it really all just fell short.

   Had a delicious dinner! Juli was a fantastic server, recommended us great dishes & was very helpful in accommodating my girlfriend’s gluten allergy. Will dine again!

   Wonderful food. Beautiful atmosphere. Outstanding service. Loved celebrating my Dad's 90th birthday at such a lovely restaurant!

    Demica was The Most Professional, personable and delightful server, I have ever had at Canoe! We were celebrating my friend’s 81st birthday, and Demica made every effort to make our experience memorable 💥💫✨ I will always ask for him in the future. The crispy shrimp salad never ever disappoints,but the service is the most important! Demica has a great personality and wears a constant smile of pride in his work! Bravo Canoe🌟
