   Such a lovely dining experience! Must sit outside. We enjoyed the kangaroo appetizer, all of our entrees and loved the popcorn ice cream.

   We’ve been to Canoe many times. This was our least favorite experience. The food was fine, but almost trying too hard. The chicken was tough and a tad dry. The real problem was the pacing of the meal. Too fast, overly intrusive service. We felt like we were rushed through the meal. Probably our last visit when we return to Atlanta.

   The whole team at Canoe made our 25th anniversary memorable!! We are not regulars but everyone makes you feel right at home!! Our server, Daijah was the best. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and took time to answer all of our questions!! From drinks by the river to perfectly cooked mu nk fish and chicken not to mention a wonderful happy anniversary desert!! We all have lots of options in ATL to dine but Canoe needs to be on your rotation!

   I mentioned in the reservation that my husband and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were impressed that the menu's had a Happy Anniversary message at the top. However, I was perplexed as to why we were first escorted to a table by the kitchen. I spoke up and then we were taken to a table in a corner. I spoke up again and made it clear that we'd like a view of the river and we finally got a nice table. Since the restaurant was half empty at the time and they'd acknowledged they knew it was a special day for us...why were we being offered such tables?

   Great chicken sandwich. My dining companion asked for hot fries and they were lukewarm. I told the server about them and he replaced them. Server was nice, but did a lot of upselling and we didn’t need. Despite having a sign that said “Complimentary valet parking”, but they asked for $3.50 and didn’t give me change. I had planned to tip, but I hadn’t planned on spending $3.50 for “complimentary valet parking.”

    We sat outside with a nice view of the Chattahoochee River on a nice evening. It was quite outside and much nosier inside with all hard surfaces and a busy dining area. The Canoe Manhattan was definitely spirit forward (socks a punch) and the Tom Riddle a nice change of pace both of which I'd get again. My wife had the "Canoe’s Cold Smoked Salmon, Crispy Potato Cake, Creamy Goat’s Cheese, Caper-Dill Cream as an entree (listed as an appetizer) and it was really good with textures and flavors that hit the mark. I had the Cod; it was . . . . Cod, nothing to write home about but it was fine. Don't miss the Popcorn Ice Cream Sundae! We'll return and sit out at the bar along the river with the beet salad, smoked salmon, and that to die for popcorn ice cream sundae! Overall great service, good food, and great atmosphere.
