Cannonball

This is my favorite restaurant to go to watch the sunset. All of their tables have an ocean view and their specialty sushi rolls are fantastic.

Best sushi I have ever had in my life. Friendly wait staff. Would recommend!

Loved this place! We went at sunset on our first night visiting San Diego. Liked it so much we went back again the next night. Pleasant atmosphere overlooking the ocean. Good sushi and seared salmon. Also, good beers and wine. We had great service both nights. Live music on Thursday night was a plus.

Amber our server was amazing. Excellent service and she checked in on us on regular intervals. The sushi was great. The best Miso soup we've ever had. Highly recommend!

I was SO disappointed by this restaurant. I LOVE sushi and views, and have been excited to come here for months. I knew it would be touristy and probably not the best sushi, but it was WAY worse than I was expecting. The quality of fish was so bad, my friend and I left pieces of sushi on the plate!! I've literally never done that I love sushi so much. Even the sushi at Ralph's is better than this. It was such a huge disapointment. We also started with the cripsy shrimp which was wayyyyy too breaded. It tasted like if BJ's decided to make sushi.

The only reason it doesn't get 1 start is because the view truly is great. The waitstaff was also very nice and helpful and the drinks we got (cucumber cooler) were fine.

I would maybe come back here and just get french fries and drinks to watch the sunset? But honestly, the rest of the food we saw coming out like the steak just didn't look that good. Also, the food is EXPENSIVE. $16-$20 for a roll of horrible sushi?? I would definitely pay that for an amazing roll with great fish, but never again here. Such a sad experience.

Fun rooftop outdoor restaurant/bar that overlooks the ocean. Fire pits with couches, along with tables. Heaters for when the nights are chilly. Servers attentive and cheerful.
Highly recommend.

Cannonball is a nice place to eat and enjoy a beach view. Not ready to rave but I’d return for the location and views alone.

Service was good. Food was average, prices were high and they included an extra charge in the bill. Crab and shrimp cocktail was not good at all, very fishy. Sushi was ok but not great.

This is one of our favorite places in the San Diego area. Food is excellent, drinks are tasty and service fantastic. View of the ocean at sunset makes this an incredible experience.

I’m a huge fan of Cannon Ball. I’ve always received great service; however, the waitress that attended our table was not attentive, nor the friendliest. I felt like she just didn’t want to be at work. Nevertheless, I still tipped her over 18%. Hopefully she can shape up her attitude and the way she handles her customers.
Outside of that...everything else was great.

One of the worst restaurants ever visited! The atmosphere is acceptable only compared to fast food restaurants. Food quality is ok but overall not a place I would ever come back and unfortunately it is not possible to erase the memory of the visit. What was remarkable was the unprofessional staff.

Best sushi we had while in San Diego with the best server and ambiance.

Overall great! However we made reservations and wished we got sat in a better seat..meaning closer to the view in the lounge area.
The place is gorgeous for sunset and they have heated lamps and fire places for you as well once the sunsets.
The food was great just a little pricy...but great to share family style and for some drinks.
Still would recommend just maybe be specific with where to sit :)

I normally love the Cannonball but you know when sometimes it just doesn’t gel? Well this was one of those nights. Service was slow waitress a bit sour and unhelpful. Had to ask 6 times to get heater lit. Food was good but arrived more sporadically than normal and most people had finished before a couple of guests food appeared. Won’t stop me eating there but it could have been a much better experience

Went here for my daughters last day in Cali before she moves to Canada and it was the best choice we could have made. Great views, great food and great music. It was a great way to end our day with her.

Great place. Beautiful view, amazing food. It’s so good we are going back tomorrow.

Awesome place great for bithdays. I have beeb the before the apatizers are very large so be aware so you done spoil your dinner!
