Made a reservation for a birthday dinner on a Sunday. When we got there we were told they aren’t serving food, just drinks. We had to find another place to eat with zero notice during the busy Christmas season. I didn’t receive so much as an email to let me know that they don’t serve food Sunday evenings.

For the prices the food and service should have been a lot better. One of our dishes was good; the other two were very mediocre with main ingredients missing. They did end up comping our wine - and apologized stating the kitchen was usually good. The hotel was great; but it'd be nice if the restaurant were a little better. The breakfast was very average at a premium price. Overall the service was mostly good - people were nice but for the price I would have liked a lot more on the food/perks. Our supper meal took 90 minutes to show up. I guess they had an off night?

We were all very impressed by not only the service by our waiter, Daniel, but the food was amazing. Nice selection of appetizers and very generous portions of food from the main menu. Excellent presentation and piping hot. The desserts were very good. It was a very personal and welcoming environment. We all agreed that we’ll definitely be returning.

The lobster grilled cheese sandwich accompanied with a salad was really, really good. I had never thought about putting lobster in grilled cheese but even just reading it on the menu, I immediately knew I needed to try it because I knew it would be great. It was!

This was a great in hotel restaurant that wasn’t busy at all for a Friday evening which is a shame actually but worked out great for us! Staff were amazing and food was good overall! Cocktails were also top notch for a place that we were unsure would have quality cocktails. Great margarita and Moscule Mule! Salmon, pasta and burgers were all amazing! Chicken tenders were ok but kids said they’ve had better and they are the experts there lol. Overall we’d definitely go back again!

Thought this going to be more of a ‘stand alone’ restaurant. It’s really a hotel lobby restaurant. Menu is limited. Have to commend the staff on service, they were excellent. Great place to go for a drink before you head downtown or to a show. They also have a 2 for $10 wine which is a very good deal. Oh so I mention the staff was awesome? Go there, but go there for the right reason. Would recommend.

If you like waiting 1 hour for an appetizer and another hour for an entree then eat here. Totally unacceptable wait for food, it wasn’t busy ( 2 other tables) and we received no explanation for the long time. Some people in our party sat for 2 hours and didn’t eat. Not even a basket of bread offered. Our server was really pleasant but it didn’t make up for the overall lack of a positive experience. Skip the $28 seafood fettuccine, tasty but 2 tiny shrimp and 2 minuscule dried out scallops. And no calamari even though it was listed on the menu. Skip the side Caesar, awful and teeny. Cannery burger was good, as was the salmon. But waiting 2 hours for food that was average at best and overpriced is not a pleasant experience when there are so many nice places to choose from. Located right off the lobby, nice bar area, nice decor and vibe but disappointing for food.

The restaurant is essentially in the hotel lobby, and not a nice ambience for a date night unless you’re staying in the hotel. The service was slow, especially considering it was fairly quiet when we arrived. Our entrees were incorrect, although were fixed quickly. Ordered the bruschetta, bread was stale. Ordered the pizza, crust was cardboardy and greasy. Waiters were very friendly. Unfortunately will not be returning.

Amazing food, really nice staff, we had Daniel and he was so friendly and wonderful to talk to. We had some dietary restrictions which the chef accommodated so wonderfully by creating the perfect dish for my dad and he never felt like a bother or after thought at all. I wish I took pictures of our main food but it was all eaten too quickly. The Cannery burger was delicious, the mushroom ravioli was incredible and such a filling vegetarian dish, the modified seafood pasta was also so amazing. We will be back!

Fantastic food and a great atmosphere (whoever curates the playlist deserves a raise) well done. Our server, Daniel, was super friendly and on the ball. Obviously not his first time :) The lobster crab dip was amazing and the cod ytacos we’re really tasty. I will be back soon to try the mushroom ravioli that I have been hearing everyone talking about. I came with my two kids and the staff were very quick to accommodate and offered coloring sheets. Also, being in a hotel, the restaurant has ample parking. This is unheard of for a restaurant in downtown St. John’s.
