Food was good but our meals for 7 people were brought out over a 20 minute period. Those of us who waited for everyone to be served had a cold dinner. The people who did not wait finished their meals long before the last person was served. Not a good experience.
had been there for Sunday brunch - outstanding!
this was for weeknight dinner. Limited menu
had 2 starters: brussels sprouts & meatballs - tasty - $25
definitely recommend the brunch
As always the food is incredible, and the service was spot on. I have never had a bad experience here, and they are doing everything in their power to be cautious with Covid-19.
Excellent brunch menu - carafe of mimosas for $8!! big biscuit with fried chicken & bacon jam & waffle with blueberry compote - both amazing. not you typical menu or price. It is a chain but you would never know it. GO, sit outside on covered patio.
This is the best brunch spot! The drinks were delicious (get the Bloody Mary!) and the breakfast pizza was so good! It has tater tots and they were so crispy!
Great service, sitting on the patio was extremely comfortable. Pizzas were very good, but you have to know what you are getting with Neapolitan pizza. Thin crust, but not crispy, but very tasty!
We had a fun and delicious meal at Cane Rosso. Very friendly, but not overbearing, wait staff, and great food. Margherita pizza fantastic, and the bruschetta was very yummy. Delicious Capra salad as well. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered, including the pasta dishes. Wish there were some more warm veggie or even seafood options, but it’s primarily a pizza joint! Would go again.
Great food, good service, cold beer!
Took a friend from out of town here for lunch and we both ate way more than we wanted because it was so delicious. Waiter was truly exceptional. Definitely the best pizza I’ve had in Austin! Will definitely be back!
Wonderful server. Best pizza in Austin with great apps and sangria!
Not only is the pizza the best in Austin, the rest of the menu is imaginative and tasty, and the service has always been great in the 10 or so times we have eaten here.
Today we experienced Cane Rosso’s. Despite our post last week, this is a “chain” I’ll come back to. It has a funky Austin vibe, great food and friendly service. Cane Rosso serves the most authentic wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas in Texas. We had a bottle of Argiano, Italian red. I liked enough to order six bottles. Their Nuggz are their version of fried mozzarella sticks. We also tried the bruschetta - I’ve had better. My entree was pasta in vodka sauce that I enjoyed. Julie ordered the Johnny Utah pizza that she made a significant dent in. I had a slice - it was delicious. #canerosso #food #foodie #cocktails #dessert #foodlovers
The server forgot our appetizer, the food was a very limited selection and pretty average. The ambience was just okay as well. If you skip this place, you wouldn’t be missing much.
Great food and service. Place wasn't as nice as the pictures.
Came here on Valentine’s Day and it was clear they overbooked themselves. First, the hostess tried seating us on the patio when it was 40 degrees and windy out. Luckily, we were able to get something inside.
But the food took forever and didn’t even come at the same time. The pizza my partner ordered for himself came 30 minutes after we ordered it, and the carbonara I ordered myself came almost a full hour after we ordered it. When it finally arrived, it was ice cold. I never send food back, but I did at Cane Rosso. I wasn’t going to eat something that’s served with a raw egg yolk on top if it’s cold; I do not want to get sick. They offered to remake it for me, but we didn’t want to sit for another hour. We just asked for the bill and left. I was hoping for a cute, lowkey Valentine’s Day, but this place isn’t equipped to handle a lot of customers.
Nice spot! Fair prices and portions
The food was super delicious and our wait person was extremely professional, courteous and had a great personality (her name was Christina). Our first time and will definitely be back for another Billy Ray Valentine (add meatballs)! I definitely recommend utilizing Open Table whenever available. Takes the stress out of your dining experience.
Pretty good, lots of families, silly staff, great pie.
Even with a reservation it’s always a problem getting a table.
Great pizza! Delicious. Good wine and draft beer selection
First time there and had a great experience! Took the whole family and the kids loved it. Our server was excellent.
The food was okay. My husband and I had the jabroni pizza, my teenage son had the spaghetti and meatballs, and his friend had a different pasta dished (the baked penne I believe). She liked the penne, and he enjoyed the pasta and the sauce, but disliked the meatballs. I tried them and agreed.
The flavor of our pizza was very good. However, there were several burnt spots on the bottom of the pizza. The crust was thin and floppy, rather than thin and crispy - which is a matter of taste - but it was so floppy that it wasn't possible to 'eat around' the burnt spots.
Also, for appetizers, we got the calamari and the fried cheese. Both were okay - the seasoning on the calamari was great, but it was overcooked, and the fried cheese was not any better than Sonic's.
The environment is great. It's a really cool, trendy place. Also, it was New Year's Eve, so it was very busy and that may have affected the kitchen. I will try it again on a slower night.
Colon was a fantastic server. Appetizers and pizza were delicious. Everyone in our party had a really nice time.
1st time visiting Cane Rosso; pizza was solid. Tried the Betty on regular crust and the Cane Rosso on Gluten Free crust. Also had a large salad and meatball appetizer. Everything was tasty - would give the food a 7 out of 10. Restaurant ambiance was great. Our server was really attentive and helpful when we were asking for suggestions. Biggest negative was that the Pizzas took a LONG time despite the restaurant not being very busy. Also, a little overpriced.
This was a small birthday dinner, and we felt rushed and neglected throughout the meal. We never were asked for a drink order, so sat with water glasses until we could flag our server down for a beverage. We’d planned on ordering more food and suddenly the check was on the table and my cocktail was removed before I was done. So we moved on to another location to continue the night.
One of the best brunches I've had in Austin. The chicken and waffles was absolutely incredible and you can't beat $2 mimosas
Great thin crust pizzas. Have some creative yummy options or you can build your own. Service was very good too.
We loved our experience at Cane Rosso. However, I did not appreciate how they changed our reservation at the last second. We booked our reservation for a Saturday evening dinner the Wednesday before on Open Table, and opted for outdoor seating, since it was going to be a beautiful night. I received a call a few hours before we were supposed to dine, saying that there was a private party on the patio and the outdoor seating was no longer available. They were able to accommodate us inside, but I did not appreciate getting called the day of only a few hours beforehand. It seemed as though they would've known well ahead of time about a private event in their outdoor section, and could have either called us anytime the week before the reservation or changed their Open Table to reflect that. I did not think it was great restaurant service to call a few hours beforehand.
Great place to celebrate my birthday brunch! Love the Stars Wars artwork!
Delicious food + excellent service. I love bringing visitors to this place.
Good experience. Had a reservation & table was ready for us upon arrival. Great food & service. Good value in wine too. Provided a nice pour, unlike a lot of other Austin restaurants that overcharge & under-provide. All around great experience. Will go back!
Very good pizza. A little pricey. We were there on a Saturday, at about 4:30pm, so I can't comment on crowds or noise.
We were there with friends - service was outstanding. Food, salad and drinks were solid and we ate everything in sight. Avery favorable experience.
The pizzas were excellent and the server was very attentive. Will definitely go back again.
This is a fine place for a casual meal. The wait crew is friendly, prompt and capable. The kitchen turns out first-rate pizzas that are thin-crusted and inventively and skillfully topped with a variety of appetizing ingredients and accompanied by fine salads and other edibles. Prices are reasonable...with excellent service, delicious food and a bright, welcoming venue you will be pleased, as we were.
I can recommend Cane Rosso without any negative warnings. It is a great place!
Great food and happy hour prices on Sunday before 6pm. Great food and great value!
Great food and service. Will be back!!
The food was very good but the service was horrible, would do take-out option in the future. Took 10 minutes to be acknowledged and given water. Service overall was really slow and towards the end of our meal they started putting chairs up on the tables around us and legitimately played closing time.
This was a good place for our party of ten. We were able to get last minute reservations. The pizzas were goo and so was the salad. I wasn't crazy about all the dogs and you can hear the barking through the windows/doors when you are inside. But, this is Austin, what did i expect!
