   This is a great casual neighborhood restaurant with excellent Spanish food at a great value. The paella was delicious as well as the mushroom Serano ham and shrimp appetizer special. The lamb shank with Russotto was a really good Spanish twist on osso bucco.

   Dinner with friends. We started with the beet salad and the cod croquettes. The croquettes were amazing, light, airy and creamy. We then had shrimp and tostadas and chorizo. All the sauces were Devine and the bread was hot and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside just perfect for dipping and mopping up the sauces. We then moved on to the lamb shank and the seafood paella. All and all the food was delicious and the service was great. Would definitely recommend to others

   This chef is extremely talented. Over the many years we’ve enjoyed dining at Candela, everything has been expertly prepared and professionally presented. Highest quality. Last night was no exception. The Caldosa Del Mar….seafood soup….was delicious as was the special sautéed mushrooms with shrimp and Serrano ham. The dining rooms are very lovely. They’ve done a great job designing them so you feel like you’re sitting in a very nice place. Interesting wine list of Spanish wines completes the meal.

   This is a classic neighborhood restaurant that has wonderful Spanish food. My friend and I shared the salad and potato appetizer, and could easily have shared them with one or two others. The seafood paella and lamb version of osso buco were both excellent and very generous. Not a fancy place but charming and a great value for a nice, quiet dinner.

    This hidden gem is located in Wilton Manors off the beaten path in a small strip mall and well set up just like in Spain. If you are in the mood and are looking for the atmosphere and vibe of a Madrid Spain Tapas Restaurant, look no further than Candela Restaurant. You walk in the front door and you have instantly whisked away to one of Spain’s Best Tapas Cities. The combination of décor, sounds and aromas are unmistakably those of Seville, Granada, Barcelona, or San Sebastian. We were seated immediately as we had a reservation. We reviewed the diverse menu that spans more than just typical tapas and paella (which if I may add are also cooked to perfection) but unique dishes from Asturias, Galicia, and more — all with carefully sourced ingredients and the richest of flavors to match. We ordered a pitcher of White Wine Sangria to complement our selections. It was delicate yet so very flavorful and most definitely a wonderful blending of flavors. Our server lovingly poured and placed the fruit in our glasses. We then awaited our tapas. The first was the Alcachofas (artichokes) with Serrano ham, sliced garlic, red crushed peppers, and finished in a light wine sauce. Next up was the Gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp) prepared with crushed red peppers and finished with a splash of wine and parsley. Lastly, we could not resist the Grilled Octopus Special of the night. Suffice it to say that it was cooked to perfection and artistically plated. Its beauty was rivaled only by its exquisite taste. Now for our entrée, we opted for the Paella Mixta for 2 which consists of chicken, sausage, calamari, shrimps, clams, mussels, garbanzos, artichokes, piquillos, green beans, Calasparra Rice, Saffron Broth and Pimenton de la Vera. This paella was by far one of the best that I have ever eaten. It was the perfect balance of all ingredients where no one single ingredient overpowered another proof of Chef Armando’s Classic Culinary training. At this point, we were full and neede

    We had a great dining experience! I can’t remember leaving a restaurant feeling so full in quite a while. We ordered three appetizers and shared a quid ink paella. The garbanzos were delicious and the calamari salad was light and refreshing. The squid ink paella was also very good. Don’t skip the bread, it’s heavenly! We had no room for dessert, but we will be back.

    This is one of the most under rated restaurants in south Florida. We ordered almost every appetizer on the menu and we were not disappointed. There was not a single item that wasn’t packed with flavor. It is a great restaurant to go to with a group so that you can share everything. The paella is fantastic, especially the squid ink one. We will definitely be going back again soon.

    The place has a lot of potential. Although the food is good, authentic Spanish dishes done well. There is absolutely no vibe, the decor is outdated and run down. It’s honestly a shame that they haven’t invested to allow there wines “which selection is great” to reach its full potential.

    This paella fusion is excellent! With Cuban elements the Spanish paella for two takes you to a different place. Garbanzos, alcachofa a different type of chorizo, perfectly cooked pollo and shrimp with a secret seasoning that wows you palate. Sangria not my favorite, but definitely refreshing. Wonderful service, staff super nice and timely. I will definitely go back for more!

    Ordered several tapas and each was superb. Cheese and ham board; fresh garlic bread; white anchovies that were delicious; stuffed peppers with melted goat cheese, spinach, raisins, and almonds (great flavors); and cut up chorizo sausages in a wine and honey! sauce. Plenty of delicious food at a very reasonable price. Impressive mostly Spanish wine list again, at reasonable prices.

    Had patatas bracas, shrimp in garlic, garlic bread, pulps with potatoes and 3 sauces and seafood paella. More than enough for 3 to share with a doggie bag. Food was excellent as was service. It was quiet and we were the first ones there. I will definitely go back!

    Charming dining room. A very comfortable place for dinner. Authentic Spanish dishes beautifully presented. I think it’s the best seafood paella in Florida. We also love the grilled octopus and the croquettas, Family owned so it’s not like an impersonal chain restaurant. Interesting Spanish wine list. Expertise in the kitchen for sure.
