Went on a double date. Arrived and it was hot inside the restaurant and smelled like mildew. Asked to be seated outside where it was hotter but didn’t smell and had better air flow. Took awhile for our order to be taken, waited forever forever for the appetizers to be delivered. One was ok and the plantains were just nasty. Took our drink order and then took 3 other tables orders. The ONE server they had working on a Friday night was busy but that made the wait long too. Took our diner orders and then came to inform two of the four that what they ordered they were out of. Finally dinner came, it was flavorful, never asked us if we wanted dessert and then we left. Won’t be back anytime soon.

Nice, quiet, little restaurant off of the beaten path. Food was authentic Mexican and was very tasty.

It’s a modern take on Mexican classics. My huevos rancheros came in tiny tostada bowls. The crunch wasn’t off-putting, but there wasn’t enough tortilla for the amount of egg on the plate. Similar story with my wife’s chilaquiles. More crunchy than we expected. Not bad, but not what we expected.

Good was very good. I had the Mixto/Carnes (?). Hot and tasty. The rice could have been warmer though.
Overall, very good, and would return for another meal.

My wife and I, along with another couple went for dinner there for our first times. It was a bit chilly inside, but other than that, everything, especially the food and service was GREAT. Will be back

We asked for no cheese and the burrito came with cheese. The chorizo that was inside was fatty and horrible!! We were spitting out the meat. The burrito was missing potatoes inside and now mixed greens were served with it. Instead they gave us potatoes on the side!?
Cold and dark in side and only 1 other couple eating there on a Saturday at 10am. Not a good sign.

The food was not bad, just not good enough o go out of my way to go back. I was disappointed that they do not offer chips and salsa without a request and only green sauce. The drinks were an issue. Everything that we ordered off of the menu they were out of. Seemed odd considering there was a huge wall of wine behind the counter but apparently none of the varieties we requested.

Our server was polite and pleasant enough but considering we were the only people in the restaurant I expected a bit more attention. Overall, not horrible, but not good enough to go back.

We had a wonderful meal; all four of us loved our food!
The chicken mole was the best I've ever had. I've already told
others of our experience at Canasta Kitchen and we are planning
another visit soon.

Food is great but every time we've gone it's cold and empty. It's echoey and silent since there is no background music. Even being the only people there the waitress vanishes into the back and so if you need anything you have to go knock to get their attention.

It was booked as a birthday celebration, nothing done for the reservation, they did not even have the table ready. Brought me to a table that was dirty and wiped while I waited. We sat somewhere else, no rice available for dinner, they ran out. Food was ok, but for the price, server was rushed and those prices too high for the service that we received. He brought the check without asking if we wanted any dessert, which we did, the Churros. I will say the Churros were very good.

Canasta kitchen is a gem of this area! Delicious food, friendly staff, and creative concepts. And they do catering too!

We had a fantastic meal, great service. Easy to get to location within Concord, with parking options. The starter, entrees and dessert were all perfectly sized (not overkill) delicious and well plated. We really enjoyed this location and will be back

The food was really good here but that's where the compliments end.

We visited on a night that they hosted a private party and it was way too loud in the dining room so we asked to sit outside. We found the service to be sloppy in that we had a few different servers, they forgot our chips and guacamole, they confused everyone's dishes, and the timing was off.

We were glad we noticed that they added an 18% gratuity to the bill for our party of five. We had not been informed of this charge, so we would have added a tip had we not noticed. They tipped themselves more than we would have.

Also, $8.50 for an agave wine margarita?!?

We would visit again to give them another shot since the food was really good. But overall it was a disappointing experience.
