The hype is no lie, Canard is all that and a bag of chips! My non-foodie husband loved the little burgers. The Paris-Brest dessert was out of this world delicious (and we are not dessert people). Ordered the asparagus, foie gras dumplings, oeufs en mayonnaise and tartar as well. Everything was delicious, interesting and the right size for sharing. Service was perfectly timed, the staff is lovely and helpful and the atmosphere is cozy. I can’t wait to return!

Delicious small shareable plates. We were a group of three and had six plates + one dessert. Each was tasty, but the eggs were my favorite. Ask for a little bread to enjoy the extra saucy goodness!

Intimate restaurant with some unique twists on familiar ingredients. We would have liked to try more things. We had a very pleasant experience with excellent food and very attentive service.

We've eaten at Canard Burnside several times when in Portland. It's always a fun experience, whether sitting at the chef's counter, watching the magic happen, or sharing a cozy table for two and soaking up the lively vibe. Ordering cocktails is not our norm but we love the ones here (Thunderbird and Drunken Botanist) which get date night off to a delightful start. The seasonally evolving menu always provides plenty of tasty options, including unique dishes with lip-smacking sauces, toppings, and/or sides. And service is top-notch: friendly, efficient, yet relaxed (not at all stuffy). We always feel really happily satisfied with our dining experiences at Canard, and look forward to the next time we'll be able to indulge!

I arranged for my Bf and his sister to have dinner here for his birthday. They said it was the best meal they’ve had in a long time! Rachel and her team made it super easy for me to arrange the surprise and the night was extra special. Highly recommend!!

I was a first timer at Canard. I had reservations but was running late due to high school graduation chaos at the Portland State Pavilion. Fortunately, the staff at Canard was understanding and flexible. I’ll tell everyone the solid they did for me that night…starting with whoever is reading this now. Cheers!

The oysters are always fabulous my favorite one has been the horseradish then cherry Tabasco. I recommend them. I love the service here:)
