always nice to eat in San Marcos square....reminds me of my times in venice
This is third time we dined at restaurant. Service was the worst this time by far. Food was still good, but it seemed like a hassle for the waiter to do his job. After meal was served, no one came out with Parmesan cheese until we requested from assistant. Our table was afterthought through dining service.
This was my first time dining at Canaletto. I have wanted to sit outdoors and enjoy the scenic view for quite some time and it is really quite nice. The service was a little slow but my food and wine made up for it. I had the spaghetti with salmon. My friend ordered a shrimp linguini dish that was not on the menu and she said it was delicious. Delightful evening overall.
Anniversary trip to Vegas.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, fantastic service - highly recommend.
Nicely done like an Italian trattoria....Prix fire was good value. Food was excellent. Very enjoyable experience.
Great people watching and ambience in the Venetian hotel. Had the valentines day special tortellini which was good but not outstanding. Wine and cocktail specials were great!
Excellent food. True Italian dishes served by expert and pleasant staff
Wonderful food and atmosphere! We enjoyed hearing the opera singers and musicians in St. Mark Square. A real Venetian experience.
Canaletto has for years been a regular dining stop for us while at the Venetian for business. The ambiance and solid service has always satisfied. Not this time for reasons known only to Venetian management music performed in the canal area is ear splittingly loud making the dining experience very unpleasant. Will not be going back, sorry to say.
We love everything , the freshness of the food, great wine and delicius tiramisu.
Always good, service, food, ambiance. Marcello, Vito, Alice, make the place.
This restaurant is located in St. Mark's Square in the Venetian. As a result, it is very LOUD. All of the people in the square plus the musical performances which seemed overly loud make for a meal where it is difficult to talk to one another and be heard. The service was extremely slow. The food was good when it finally came. We had to wait a long time for the bill - we began to think the meal was free - hah! You can do a lot of people watching from this restaurant, so if that's your thing you will probably like this location. The restaurant does offer "indoor" seating away from the square - maybe that would solve the noise problem.
Excellent, authentic Northern Italian cuisine. Enzo was efficient, personable, and on point with his recommendations. Bravo!
The food is not so good, without a taste!
The ambience is really interesting because The place like Venice. A reproduction of that City.
But is ok.
Food was very good. Sea bass was fantastic and a great value, around $30. My wife had gnocchi and really enjoyed it.
Located in St Marks square in the Venitian, there was live entertainment and great people watching. The abiance was very nice.
Four of the nine members of my family get seeking after the dinner there.
Pour food, cold and expansive.
Never will be back!
We went for my wife's birthday as her favorite dish is gnocchi. It was outstanding. Very fresh and just the right sized portion. Typically the portions are huge but this was perfect. My veal piccata was also outstanding. The atmosphere is slightly upscale/romantic. The servers were attentive, friendly and very professional. The sgroppino was delectable (the best I've had).
Food was delicious but it was pretty loud in there. Service was good.
Beautiful location in the square. Great for people watching and entertainment watching.
But the pace was too fast and food felt more American than Italian. We were in an out in 35! Minutes and that includes a starter. The risotto was wonderful but was served on a cold plate.
Staff was friendly
But overall, the experience simply wasn’t special and we will look at one of the other amazing options nearby next.
Amazing food, great service, and right where we can see entertainment. My team had a blast.
Great ambiance, romantic, good variety of wines, food was excellent and our server Nadia, was very attentive, and exceeded expectations!
We were pleased to be seated earlier than our scheduled reservation. The wait staff were very pleasant. The waitress assigned to our table was not attentive. We continually had to ask for, example, cheese garnish for our meal. It was the waiter from the neighboring table that was taking care of this. We were disappointed with the service.
I always visit Canaletto at the Venetian when in Las Vegas. I enjoy the "outdoor" ambiance and the food never disappoints. There are also quieter tables inside.
The hi-tops off the bar are great for a drink and appetizer.
The service is normally good, although on this visit, our waiter was slow in getting us our waters initially, and a glass of wine didn't arrive until I had nearly completed dinner. Otherwise, the service was good.
After a 12 hour drive, my nerves were shot. My waitress was a wonderful lady. I cannot remember her name but she was from Italy and was very pleasant. All of her recommendations on wine to food was fabulous. I had a terrific meal and a great conversation with her.
My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. Loved the live music playing in the background -- and loved the fresh tasting food.
I really like Canaletto for lunch meetings during the Shot Show. They were ready for us and took care of our party right away. Great service, and good quality food.
Very good restaurant, service was excellent and the food was delicious.
Fabulous location and wonderful food! Highly recommend for business or a special occassion.
