Overall the food was ok. The ambiance is great but if you're looking for Italian in LV there are probably better spots to try.
Pretty good overall.
Food was good but wished it came with bread. Service was top notch.
Getting our table at the reservation time was what I thought the start to a nice evening but, the server never checked back on us or refilled our drinks. Food was okay but, Olive Garden is just as good without the high price. The table next to us left after waiting for a server to show up...they never did.
My pasta was amazing with homemade noodles but my husband’s sauce on his Salmon was terrible. He tried scraping it off but…
Very romantic until Mexican mariachi band started and ruined the ambience.
We had a great service. It was quick too. We ordered the lobster with spaguetti and it was amazing. Best pasta dish ever. Hats off to the cheff. I really enjoy our meal on the piazza and the view.
All staff were great specially our server. Food phenomenal. Only negative is we had to ask for bread when it appeared - due to bread plates being on table - that we should have been given some when sat down.
Just amazing. The food was delicious and the service was very good!
Food was delicious and service was amazing. Fun locale in the Canal shops.
I’m conflicted about this restaurant. One one hand, it’s in an ideal location and some of the food is very good. On the other hand, some dishes are very average or even below average. I’ve eaten at this restaurant several times and offer the following details: the egg omelet with smoked salmon was dry and surprisingly bland. This is a relatively simple dish to make and should have been prepared with more care. The linguini with seafood was good, but a bit too salty. The scallops in the dish were wonderful but the clams and mussels were subpar.
The coffee is horrible and doesn’t belong in an upscale Italian restaurant
The atmosphere is hit and miss because sometimes there is appropriate music such as Italian arias, and other times it’s loud hip hop, which makes no sense in this establishment. This is probably due to the managers of the courtyard, and not the restaurant itself. Nonetheless, the inappropriate music ruins the “nice restaurant “ vibe.
Most concerning was that during a time of indoor mask mandates, at least half the kitchen staff didn’t wear their masks (you could see the kitchen from our table). This is inexcusable, regardless of your politics. This is about public health, not politics.
Under done gnocchi and mediocre lobster pasta special.
The mariachi band in the square was TOO loud. We could not hear the conversation amongst out table.
Wonderful! Clean, friendly, beautiful, romantic, delicious.
The bread, which must be ordered, is from sister restaurant il Fornaio, and it is very good. However other food items were mediocre. A pasta dish, paccheri con sugo, was a bland tomato meat sauce, and was presented luke warm. One of our party ordered a filet de bue (a filet mignon) and specified he wanted it seared, rare inside, and served with ketchup. The waitress brought him a fillet of fish. She thought he had pointed to that on on the menu - but rare seared fish with ketchup isn’t a thing, even in Vegas!! The crust on a pizza was soft and soggy. While the three of us began our meals, the fish was returned and beef was prepared. Unfortunately, the beef was mushy, as though it had been either frozen and thawed or treated with meat tenderizer, and it was very salty. The manager did comp that dish, which was appropriate, since we were there to celebrate that diner’s birthday and, well, it wasn’t what we hoped. In general, this isn’t one of the better Italian restaurants available in Vegas. We’ll stick to il Fornaio (a chain, yes, but still better) and other choices.
La realidad quedó muy por debajo de mis expectativas.
We were seated next to a loud family with kids, even though there were plenty of open tables. Fantastic food!
Food was excellent, not my first or last time there. I always bring new friends here, service is outstanding and food is incredible…. Must see place to go and enjoy the food and local.
One of my favorite places for Italian in Las Vegas! Canaletto never disappoints with their food, service, ambiance, etc.
great food, atmosphere outdoor loud due to crowded venue. overall great place to dine.
Overpriced mediocre food. There are better places to eat with way better prices at the venetian. Check the menu and prices online before going.
Food was over priced and was mediocre. The portion size was not adequate at all.
The host at the main desk was very rude to us. We showed up about 30 mins early because our flight came in early. We asked if we could be seated a little earlier and the man at the main desk was very rude and made it seem like he was doing us a very good favor.
Our waiter Lorenzo was very attentive and great! He made the experience much better but the host at the front door was just so rude and nasty to us.
My sister’s Birthday. Tried several pasta dishes. All very good
We were able to be seated a few minutes prior to our reservation , the inside of the restaurant was quiet & the food was delicious!
Service and food was tremendous … being our 45th wedding anniversary all made it so special.
Just perfect! Food was amazing !
Always great dining here when we come to Vegas. They still have great food and service-been coming here for years
Have been going there Pre Covid and have always enjoyed it. Went 9/2 for dinner with 7 people and I ordered a chicken dish that was dry, tasteless and expensive. I was very disappointed with the experience and also the menu was reduced eliminated many items so choice was limited
Vitto our waiter was a joy!! He made the dinner an experience!! Highly recommend this restaurant!!
A delicious meal and great atmosphere!! Highly recommend!
Waiter was wonderful. Food was excellent but very disappointed that no lobster specials left at 7.
Everything we ordered was delicious. The waiter was very friendly
My friends and I were on a girls trip celebrating two of their birthdays. We loved everything about our visit to Canaletto. The food, our server, and the atmosphere were wonderful. When we visit Vegas again we will be back. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
We tried a few Italian restaurants during our stay, but this was by far the best overall experience. The food surpassed what we had tried at the other Italian restaurant spots near the Venetian.
The waiter Shawn was on point with top notch customer service and the food was outstanding
Celebrating my daughters b’day with her husband! We all dine here when we are in Vegas - can’t beat the service, the food or the views! So much fun! ask for Doreen! Top notch service!
Been at Venetian many times & never eaten there before. It will definitely be on the list on our next trip.
Fabulous experience front start to finish from reservations to hostess to meal ambiance and service! A definite must when visiting Las Vegas!
