Excellent food and service. If you want a quieter dining experience sit inside, not on patio
One of my favorite places to eat in Vegas! Always great food and service!
Great place. You feel like you are eating outside but with the comfort of inside dinning. Good food, service could improve, wine list need some upgrade but deserts are a must. Try the dolce trio.
We chose this restaurant based on the online menu, which showed some interesting vegetarian options. When we got to the restaurant, we found that they did not have the vegetarian dishes that I was interested in, and the prices were higher than the online menu. I ended up getting a gnocchi dish with a cream sauce, which was fine but not particularly exciting. The bread that they provided was also fine but not warm and not super fresh. The apple crepe dessert we ordered was again fine but the apple crepe wasn’t warm, which would have made it better.
That being said, our waitress was nice and attentive, and the “patio” seating was neat. Ultimately, I thought it was “meh”, and there are many other restaurants on the strip so we won’t be back.
Oh my goodness! This was terrible! We have dined at Canaletto in the past and it was good. Boy has it gone downhill. Our waiter was overwhelmed with too many tables. He came and took our drink and appetizer order. This never came. We were ignored. We had to ask for our drinks. He forgot our appetizer. We flagged a bus person down and ask if it was coming. It was finally delivered to our table. Within minutes our entrees arrived. They took it back to the kitchen and waited. When our entrees were delivered they were so bland. No flavor. I took two bites and left the rest. The waiter came to the table at the very end of the meal and asked if I enjoyed the meal. I said no. I didn't even eat it. When the check came there was no accommodation, no apology. The waiter just said that I should have listened to his recommendations. We will never go back to this restaurant.
It is our go to place every time we come to Vegas. We have had large groups and just the two of us. The service is always above and beyond. And who doesn’t like eating in what feels like St Mark’s Square? The food has been consistently good and always hot when served.
We came for our wedding and it was like a perfect story book. I loved the food the service. They even helped me with my dress when I had to go to the restroom (we eloped)
WE LoVED IT!!!!
Loved dinner at your restaurant! Was great! Beautiful location and choir singing Christmas music was fantastic!
New Years Eve dinner for six. Noisy table near entrance. Two orders of Lasagna were burnt (not just crispy but black) and dried out. Two orders of veal scallopini weren’t hot and completely bland and very unappealing presentation.
The only highlights were the bread and a couple of the appetizers, for a $500 dinner it was very poor. No response from management.
We love eating in St Marks square. We’ve eaten @ Canaletto several times over the years. Our go to is bolenesse & Ceaser salad it’s not on the menu but easily ordered.
This has to be the absolute worst restsurant I have ever eaten at. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER! The menu looked great so we tried it. The service was awful, we waited for 40 minutes to get a simple pasta and fish dish. It came ice cold. Couldn’t even eat it, asked for the manager who took a half hour to come over. He said he would take my awful dinner off the bill and didn’t. It was noisy and we couldn’t wait to leave, it was a dump. I was starving and had to go to the marketplace in the lobby of my Hotel to buy snacks worst food, service and just an awful experience. Especially compared to the Wynn Hotel last night that was so good. Venetian Hotel all on all was really not what it used to be either. Tonight is Bellagio which I’m sure will be great!
Risotto was just OK because didn't have enough taste of Porcini mushrooms. One of the serving food was not warm enough.
Had reservation, was seated 15 minutes we waited asked hostess to please send waiter. $19 for Caesar salad that was honestly worst I've ever had, shrimp risotto, shrimp not cooked. Didn't say anything paid and left. Do not waste your money
A nice meal with great authentic-feeling pasta, a good pint of wine to choose from, and nice service. Service, while a little slow felt accommodating. Allowed us to try some wines we weren’t sure of and gave us a few good recommendations. Would definitely come back again and try some more of their great pasta! Not to mention the cheeses for starters.
We enjoyed our dinner. The steak was excellent and the service was attentive.
A caveat on the noise level is this was dinner on Christmas day and very crowded. The service was friendly and good even with the crowded conditions.
This place is awesome. Food is very good.
Overall just an average experience. The lobster ravioli sauce tasted like Campbell’s soup. The service was great but overall the food was meh.
My extended family had a fantastic dining experience here a few days ago. The service was top notch, which made our meal all the more special.
First time enjoying the hospitality of the Canaletto restaurant. We regularly stay at the Venetian Resort and like to try out a different restaurant each time. We chose our table with a view and experience of St Marks Square with all of its activities. Enjoy!
The food, service and ambience was perfect! It was a delicious and enjoyable evening.
Very attentive service. Food was very tasty and we both enjoyed our meal. Quite expensive for 2 pasta dishes and 1 glass of wine but overall a lovely evening.
The food and service were wonderful. We actually came the day before our dinner meeting for a preview and were thrilled with the choice. Possible the best gnocchi I've had. Delicious and fresh taste to the pesto.
Only complaint was the trio playing in St. Marks square. The volume was deafening! We couldn't have a conversation across the table. We all joked later that we all lost our voice shouting over the music.
Highly suggested. It was nice.
Food was very good. Everything from the selection of cheeses, the caprese salad to the lobster ravioli and the cannelloni was delicious. Unfortunately the service was SLOW and the waiter was completely checked out of the whole process, it was like he just happened to be there for the meal. Probably will not return.
Terrific Food, Service & Atmosphere
Canaletto is a nice place, but service on this evening was painful....I had a special occasion and it turned out to be a long time between visits, multiple waiters that made it seem like they were going out of there way to serve us. Not going back!
Terrible service. Server was rude, the food was cold and appetizers, salads and main course were all served together. Last time I will patronize this restaurant.
I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT....JUST LIKE GOING TO ITALY.........
Sadly, my experience at Canaletto was disappointing. I could swallow paying $30 for 6 lobster ravioli with mediocre sauce, but the fact that they arrived lukewarm, and were sent back TWICE, were microwaved and were still not hot enough, was inexcusable. The server kept apologizing, but that doesn't cut it. At the very least he could have offered us free desserts or a glass of wine. Nothing. I will never go back.
They changed the menu and after dining for several years not impressed.
Good bread, pasta, and drinks. Great service and desserts.
Always great food and good service
Vito who is from Lake Como Italy took very good care of us. He understood what we wanted very well.
Our favourite place in Vegas.
Overpriced commercial Italian style food
Always a great stop when in Vegas, good food with good service. Mossing some of the service touches and attention of the past. Still a good stop
Cute atmosphere - large choice of dishes - good food but could be served hotter.
The food was fresh, hot and delicious, just like momma makes it! Service was prompt, environment was warm and comfortable and a great setting to have a great meal. While music was being played in the piazza, we sang along.
We were married earlier in the day and researched every menu in the top hotels and Canaletto had something for everyone in our small group of four. Two had the Gnocchi, one pesto and one bolognese. Looked more like tortellini and the pasta was well filled. One had a Caesar salad which was a full plate, well chilled and fresh. I had the pasta tubes bolognese which was top quality from the al dente texture to flavor. Portions were just the right amount to satisfy and not bloat. Room for dessert! We had lemon sorbet which was a bit tart but refreshing and tiramisu which was abundant and perfect. We will refer friends and return for our first anniversary for sure. Well done!
