Fun restaurant in the canal shops. Performances outside. Amazing cappuccino. Service was good. Seafood sampler was tiny and not worth the price but it tasted great

Had a very nice meal with my wife. Sitting in the Square is a nice experience. It was wonderful having live music from the square while we ate, but the music was almost too loud.

This was a very bad experience. We ordered a risotto I got a yellow rice, dry, and disgusting. Gnocchi are like uncooked, and don’t taste anything. The service I d say is not good. Waiters are very nice but they are not proper waiters. I am not used to fancy places but this one is worse than a random steakhouse in the street. And prices are crazy!

There were so many good reviews of this restaurant that we thought it would be a surefire winner. The service was exceptional so there's that...but overall, it wasn't the date night we had hoped for. Our reservation was at 7:30 and we were promptly seated - the service was SO fast that we had our drinks, appetizer, food, and bill by 8:05. Even though the restaurant was only half full, we felt rushed. The food itself was average, and very heavy on the salt (and I like salt!) - nothing memorable.

The food was quite nice. Unfortunately we split a drink on the table it was an accident. They had spare tables around we had to wait for them to clean our table whilst we were standing. It was Xmas evening and we were out for a special evening and it was my wife's birthday there was no special arrangement

We decided to celebrate Christmas in Vegas and a friend recommended the place. We had a little trouble finding the restaurant, but when we got there it was awesome. A true copy of Venice. Very funny! Good service and tasty food.

We have dined here several times and have alway been very happy with our previous visits. Unfortunately, can't give the same review this time. We made reservations well in advance for Christmas Day dining. My wife loves the authentic spaghetti and meatball dinner and orders it every time. For whatever reason at 3pm on Christmas not only were they out of meatballs (which is pretty surprising) but our waiter was indifferent and just said, the meat sauce is the same thing and disappear for long periods of time. If it was any day other than Christmas, we would have left. Disappointing at best.

Food mediocre at best.
Service terrible.
Lovely views of the square if ‘outside’.

We booked here well in advance for Christmas lunch.

When we arrived the restaurant was busy but not overly so. We had to wait at the bar while our table was prepared and ordered some drinks while we waited which included a cocktail. Within 10mins we were shown to our table. Pleasingly it was an ‘outside’ table with a view of the square. The atmosphere was lovely.

Had to chase multiple times to get the cocktail I had ordered earlier.

For starters we ordered the giant meatball and the bruschetta. After 10mins the waiter returned to say the Meatball was finished. There was nothing else we fancied so stuck with Just the bruschetta which was excellent.

For mains we had the angel hair pasta ‘pomodora’. Unremarkable. We also had the giant prawn Gambaroni pasta. The sauce was thick with an unusual flavour (for pasta) so was not that enjoyable. Finally we had a pizza which had far too much cheese for my liking and I did not enjoy it.

For desert we had bread pudding which we were told was ‘baked’ so would take some time. Well it was a long time but was cold most of the way through. Not nice.

All the way through we had to chase the waiter multiple times for service/cutlery/drinks etc. Very poor.

The restaurant is very pretty, very good location. Service is excellent.
Food is too expensive for its taste, there are cheaper restaurants with better food. I ordered the lobster spaghetti and had to send it back, it tasted only like slated water (very salted).
Wine and cocktails were very good, as well as the appetizers and dessert (this last also too expensive).
Other thing to have on mind, if going with older or disabled people, is that the restrooms are on the top floor, lots of stairs.

We enjoyed the meal although the menu didn't have quite as many favorites as we'd hoped. Items like Osso Bucco, veal or chicken parmesan were not offered. But, what we did have was very good. We were seated outside so it was a bit overwhelming with all the hustle and bustle of people walking by. But, if you don't mind that, it's good. It's certainly a great spot for people watching!

Very good service and amazing fresh tasting food. I got the gnocchi and my boyfriend got the spaghetti with meatballs. Both dishes were very good and fresh. Can be a little loud on the “patio” because of the live performances in St Marks Square, but it is a nice view if you decide to sit there. Would definitely return on a future trip to Las Vegas.

While in Las Vegas, which is obviously chock-full of amazing restaurant options, Canaletto was by far the favourite for myself and my partner! Everything tasted so fresh and flavourful-- each bite was packed with seasoning in unique combinations! We were happily surprised to find it not particularly crowded despite it being early (~19:30), which meant we were accommodated with a large, plush table. The lighting in the restaurant is subtle, which set a great mood for our anniversary celebration, and our waitress was helpful in picking a wine that complimented our meal. The restaurant is situated in a great spot in the Venetian that totally transports you to another place while you're there!
Our appetizer was just enough to tease our taste buds, and my partner kept saying throughout the rest of the trip how he wished he could come back so he could taste his entree again because it was "possibly the best thing I've put in my mouth ever" (and his mum is a great cook, so that's saying something!). All in all, it was a special experience, especially for a place that doesn't break the bank. We'll definitely come back when he's in town again! I would really recommend this for a date night, and it's not far from their gondolas, so the combination makes for a memorable experience.

Appetizer and soups were tasty, but the fish dinner with polenta was salty and overcooked, so some of the fish was chewy and dry. For the price we paid I'd expected better and was disappointed. We didn't complain because we were on a timeline to go to a concert.

Fun atmosphere. Located inside the Venetian Hotel and Casino. It has an indoor/"outdoor" setting. We could hear singers performing nearby. Waiter had good recommendations and the food was great. You can't go wrong with any of the risotto dishes.

I've been to Canaletto several times as a go-to spot in the Venetian. Unfortunately, this time not only was the food poor quality, but the service was poor, with a distracted waiter. In fact, most wait staff seemed to be hanging around the kitchen and looking at their phones. Worst of all, I made a reservation through Open Table and when I arrived, I was early and I told the hostess at the front desk that I had a reservation and that I had arrived early. They had like 9 or 10 open tables, and they said no problem. The next day, I start getting emails scolding me for "no-showing", which is really stupid since my name was on both the reservation and the credit card receipt that I paid with. I had the Goulash which had meat that was so tough I couldn't eat it, so basically I paid $25 for egg noodles and butter. My guests could not finish their meals due to their meat being tough too. How do you make fish too tough to cut with a knife? That takes a special skill on its own. My business guests were so disappointed they refused dessert, and I was not only embarrassed by the poor food, but I felt harassed by the "no show" accusation. We'll not be returning.

Every time we are in Las Vegas we try to eat at least one dinner at Canaletto in the Venetian Hotel. I love the feel of eating outdoors but still remaining in doors. I like to watch people stroll about out side the restaurant and the music played in the central court. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. We brought our own cake to celebrate my birthday and the staff at the restaurant accommodated our every need.

Probably the best location in the entire Venetian-Palazzo complex, Canaletto serves decent and not too heavy Italian food. If you sit on the piazza, which feels like you’re outside when in fact you’re indoors. Service was very friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable.
You might get some live music on the piazza, which is nice unless you want peace and quiet.
