Excellent hostess service. We arrived early for our reservation for my birthday. Hostess kindly asked us to wait and because we did, she brought us two glasses of champagne. Excellent wait staff with Alexandra. The food was good, highly recommend the watermelon, avocado, and tomato salad. The chicken was a bit dry but amazingly seasoned. Steak is one of the best we’ve had.
Minor kinks in speed of service. Initially we were seated and had to wait for 25 min before Alexandra just took our table on even though it was outside her section. Kitchen took a bit.
Average hotel food.
Excellent restaurant!!! Great food and service! I definitely recommend it!!!
Went for dinner the food was excellent and the staff very friendly
Inedible food that we waited 60 min for. Cold, flavorless, stale.
Outstanding food, service, and ambiance. Magnificent!
So disappointed. The service was absolutely horrible. I was hosting my family from Colombia and it was my stepmothers 50th birthday. I quickly made reservations knowing it was a beautiful spot. When we arrived, I mentioned it was a birthday and we wanted to make it special. They told us it was tapa style and to order a couple of dishes first and then more as the night went by. The server brought our food, which was cold. And took an hour to come back and asked if we wanted the bill. We never got a chance to order more food. The restaurant was mostly empty so I know he wasn’t to busy. During the dinner we asked another server to bring salt to our table, she brought over one packet of salt! I couldn’t believe it. I had to stand up and go grab salt from another table. By the time we finished our food we didn’t even want the dessert or happy birthday sang there. We happily went to Cheesecake Factory for a decent cheesecake and waaaaay better service. Extremely disappointed. The ambience and location was beautiful but the service was embarrassing.
Amazing ambience and the service was great. My group had mixed opinions on the food, but it was an overall pleasant experience.
Our server was very rude. Brought out the dessert before we even finished our meal. Barely said anything to us the whole time, maybe he was having a bad day?
food prices were much to high and service was so so
The breakfast at Cana was amazing! I had the Mallorca breakfast sandwich with roasted potatoes. It was so good. The environment was peaceful and quiet. It was the perfect way to start a morning in San Juan.
Honestly really poor - the food was decent but incredibly expensive and very poorly laid out for the tasting menu options. The wine pairing was abysmal - it’s just house wine that doesn’t line up to the courses or have any explanation.
The service itself was bizarre (they tried to serve us a Medium Well steak after never asking us for a temperature, for instance).
The tables around us were incredibly noisy and boisterous.
Food was mediocre stating that there menu was modern traditional Puerto Rican food. There coconut flan was a joke literally a apple sauce texture. Overall wasn't impressed with experience but you live and you learn!!
One of the restaurants that we always make sure to come back to during our summer stays in PR, highly recommend! Beautiful spot for date night especially if you sit outside by the lighted pool at night, plus the plates are shareable. Los camarones al ajillo con yuccas fritas son mis favoritas. Disfruta tu tiempo en PR aqui 😋
Awesome restaurant inside the hotel. Can't wait to come back to San Juan and stay here!
The server was so nice! We sang happy birthday to my boyfriend & took lots of pictures of us
Rest is next to the pool, music was loud for 6 pm. Menu is very limited and overpriced. They were understaffed.
Food and service was fantastic!!
It's a One in a lifetime must. I went for the first time to celebrate a birthday, but would consider before repeating another visit. Great concept of Sharing Plates, but really small portions for the price. If you are accustomed to bigger plates, consider this. Also considering that its a Caribbean Restaurant, expectations of flavors were not met. The only plates we did enjoy of all were the Gandules Hummus (ask that chicharrones do not include seasoning, it was hard to enjoy flavor of hummus with it) and the Carne Ahumada with pastel. Oh and the French Toast dessert is a must try!
Service was ok, waiter greet us with a "Espanol or Ingles"?! and talked really fast, but besides this I think the restaurant concept is more for the experience of a fancier place to be in the island with your special one, rather than the flavor itself of the plates...
I may visit again just for drinks and dessert :)
For our first time the place was beautiful, it was relax and the food and service at other level.
Amazing! Very good food and very kind workers.
Service was not great .The restaurant was busy with only one server. We went there to celebrate Mother's Day and paid for the $75 per person. To start we were a group of 5, we were served with cold pumpkin soup, then the rest of the dish were for sharing which has 3 plates for each kind. We thought that it's a set meal and everyone will get to have their one plate of food. So after the entree was served, we waited 45 mins for our dessert to come out. And with several follow ups. There was no refill of water that we need to go to the bar and get it ourselves.
It was one of the worst experience in dining.
Visit Caña for the first time for the Mother’s Day special. The service was friendly, the seven plate dinner was good specially the octopus salad and the deserts, the sangria was excellent. Great outdoor terrace looking to the pool and the beach. Overall we have a great time with good food that meet our expectations. The only thing was too pricey for the portions of the food.
Unfortunately an unsatisfactory experience and below our expectations.
Wonderful cocktails, excellent service and outstanding food in a casually elegant restaurant!!!!
Food was good, some could have been served at a warmer temperature. But taste wise, it was excellent. Desserts could improve. Service was okay. Water service was limited throughout the visit.
Food very good but for the price very few, the salad suppose to have avocado, but was so tiny that you can even tasted. I went for Mother"s day brunch 7 course not enough food that is my only complaint.
The breakfast was very good , a little pricey for a simple bottle of water. Though overall the service was amazing, and my waitress was kind and attentive.
very overpriced for small portion, but the food was delicious. they almost couldn’t accommodate splitting checks for a large group which was a hassle.
Service was friendly but food came before serving utensils for plates intended for sharing.
Portion of the food too poor, the service was good
Good food, ambience but poor service, our server was lost.
It was good
Everithing was good, the food needs more a little bit more salt. The chef is very cautious with the salt in the mofongo and the pastel al caldero and too cautious with the sugar in the crema catalana.
To me that was the only thing I notice with the food all other things were ok.
It was an incredible experience. As amazing as the food was, the dessert was even better!
A huge amount of gratitude for the hostess “Sheila L”. She provided exceptional service and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our experience.
10/10 would recommend Caña!
Great restaurant and atmosphere! Music from pool was loud on the day I went (not sure if hotel or if its due to guests partying). Food was tasty and priced reasonably for the experience.
Gourmet spice up to Puertorican food. Great serive. Enjoyed the evening
Our waiter, I believe his name was Armondo, was very great helped us out figuring out how the menu works and catered to our needs. If I come to Puerto Rico again I will definitely come here again!
Waiters were rude. Took plates we were not even done with. The food itself was very blah and not worth the price. Got a mofongo, kids chicken and fries and rice and beans. 2 glasses of wine the Bill was over $100.
Regresaremos.
