Can Can Brasserie
We took out of town friends to Can Can and they loved it, just as we do! It's always good and you can't beat the atmosphere! Our friend said he went to sleep thinking about how delicious the boulliabaisse was!
Wonderful food and spot on service
Always nice for any meal. Kaelee, our server, was excellent.
Open Table lists this restaurant under its Sunday Brunch options, but no brunch menu is offered.
I have had good dinners in the past at CanCan. On this occasion, the meal was not up to my past experiences. The fish was overcooked and did not taste fresh. My guess is that I got a mistaken order from earlier in the evening that they left under a heat lamp. Whatever the cause, at $50 a head (without any alcohol) it was not a good value. Not somewhere I’m likely to be returning to anytime soon, too many other good options.
Loved it. Only recommendation would be to have more dinner options available
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Can Can. Our server was very personable and extremely professional - she checked back on us numerous times during the dinner. Wonderful bread and butter were served first (regretfully, too many upper-scale restaurants seem to have eliminated this feature). My lobster fritters were delicious as was my wife's tomato soup aux gratin - coated with melted cheese! For entrees, we had the salmon and the trout, both beautifully prepared and delicious. Our only regrets were that we had no room for dessert! We hope to return soon - maybe not eat ALL of the bread to save room for dessert.
The food was very good. Really liked all the choices. Wasn’t as happy with service or sommelier.
Once again CanCan didn't disappoint! For a Saturday late morning brunch/lunch it was a great choice. The service was great, the food was tasty and we were able to sit in the front where we could watch the people inside and out!
I was surprised by our latest experience at the Can Can Brasserie. We have stopped here many times before, but never for dinner. Until now, we have enjoyed the food and the service. My dinner (steak frites) was a very poor quality of meat . My wife's dinner (salmon) was fine. Our waiter stacked all the dishes at the end of the meal in a huge pile in front of my wife before taking them away. It was so different than all of our prior experiences that I questioned if we were in the right place.
One of the best restaurants in Richmond. We’ll be back for sure
Waitstaff was great. We ordered hamburgers because we had not had them in a long time. The rolls were stale and were toasted but it did not help. The burger was at best ok. The shoestring fries which I usually love were limp and cold. Lesson learned I won’t order this again. Still love the restaurant perhaps an off day.
Good food. Good service. Nice environment.
Excellent food and excellent value for the lunch prix fixe!!! Definitely recommend 100%. Will be there again.
Reliably good food & service. Enjoyed it!
Energetic atmosphere, food was good. I was a little disappointed in the Fruit De Mer. Service was good, however, did forget frequent requests for beverage refills and cocktail orders. Overall an enjoyable experience.
Delightful evening — excellent food and service.
Great food; loud atmosphere. We go tp Can Can often with guests; especially those from out of town.
Looked forward to returning after several years. Hostess Jessica was lovely & welcoming.
Unfortunately, despite his best attempts to provide good service, our server had to be reminded multiple times about simple requests. Also, strange that the servers also were the busboys. Just expected more from a restaurant that we used to truly enjoy & a bit more professionalism.
We had not been to Can Can in quite a while and were looking for something different from our usual haunts since we were commiserating over the fact we had to cancel my 65th birthday trip to Bermuda because of tropical storms Jerry and Karen. I was pleased the escargot was more traditional than the broth version I had had years ago. The oyster appetizer was good but just a tad crunchier than I prefer. Overall, it was a delightful meal and a delightful evening. Our server was very attentive. Love Can Can! Will be returning soon.
This was my first time eating at the Can Can Brasserie. Wonderful lunch, loved the atmosphere and creative dishes. Will definitely be back.
Eight active seniors were part of our group this evening for dinner at Can Can. Our food was good and the portions were plentiful. Unfortunately our server was not as attentive as we all had expected. There were long lapses of time between the time we first saw him and when he came back to follow up on our dinner order, etc. also, the noise level at the front of the restaurant at times was probably more than we had expected in a quality oriented restaurant. Also, the restaurant had strict guidelines as to modifying any sides that came with a particular dish. In other words, they were not willing to alter the sides. I find this to be not up to my previous experiences in fine dining restaurants.
We have been to Can Can a couple of times and the food if always great.
It had been a year or more since I had dined at Can Can and was sorely disappointed. My cocktail was mediocre at best. I ordered the crispy mushroom risotto which came out barely room temperature. While another in my party ordered the gnocchi with roasted artichokes only to have our waiter return to say they had no artichokes. I am afraid that I shall not return nor can I recommend.
