For over 30 years, Campagnola has been serving the people who defined New York City. Country-style, Italian dining where plates are meant to be shared, and elbows are meant to be touched. And yet if chairs could talk, these ones probably wouldn't.

The service was fine, but the food was mediocre, at best. What was called a “braised short rib” on the menu was actually just a piece of steak, not good quality, that had been braised. A hunk of meat does not equal a short rib. The sauce on the pasta was just OK - I could make a better sauce without even trying. And for all that, a hefty bill at the end of the meal. I won’t be back.
Food is great as always and the service was terrific. Our favorite Manhattan restaurant.
We love this place, as soon as you walk in you feel at home. The staff is friendly and warm and the place is cozy. As soon as you sit they bring you a small antipasto plate,
you had me at Parmigiano! We started with the stuffed zucchini flowers which were nicely fried and served with a light tomato sauce, excellent. My wife had the veal and I chose a chicken scarpariello. Her veal was "melt in you mouth" tender and my chicken was moist, nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. I would recommend Campagnola to anybody I know. But you will definitely need a reservation. We were there on a Wednesday evening and the place was very busy
Visit to NYC
Lovely meal. Always fantastic.
Simply delicious! Love the antipasti to start. Always a memorable night out!
Amazing food and amazing staff!
Amazing service and incredible ambiance! Would highly recommend!
Love everything about Campagnola - the food, the servers, the ambiance and the Napoleans!
Thanks for another delicious dinner!
Some places have excellent food, some have excellent service, this place has both!
Lovely place. If weather allows eat outside for noise level. Food beautifully prepared
We had the zucchini flowers, penne ala vodka, mushroom ravioli In the veal Parmesan. We also had some great cocktails and the super Tuscan wine all wonderful.
The piano player in the bar area was very talented and played all the songs we loved.
We can’t wait to come back!
I've always enjoyed dining at Campagnola and this past Sunday did not disappoint. We ate outside so it was quiet - except for passing trucks! Always love the little antipasto plate, everything on it is "just right". Enjoyed the chopped salad and capellini primavera. By the time we got to main course I wished I had ordered something hot rather than octopus salad, but salad was good. My daughter loved her shrimp scampi - they certainly looked and smelled great. Of course dessert - the Neapolitan cake and tiramisu were delish. We will be back.
This is a throw back Italian restaurant. The best parm, chicken on the bone. Great Cheese and salami starter. My wish fish was wonderful. If you can not find something to eat her there is something wrong with you.
Wonderful atmosphere with a great vibe inside, love the piano! Always a great meal and they are very accommodating when ordering a specific way.
We sat in the gutter - table not even level, digs walking up to our food. Service was HORRIBLE. Used to live this spot but no more.
The food was very average but overpriced. Service is good but people coming there look down on others. We did not enjoy the atmosphere there. No complaints about the service. However, there are much better places around for a much more reasonable price.
I have been eating at Campagnola for 25 years. My visit yesterday was with my nephews to celebrate my birthday, and as usual, all was perfect! The food was amazing, the service was great, and the recognition of my birthday made me feel special. My nephews were sooo thrilled about everything as well. I will be coming for the next 25 years! Keep it going Frankie and the great servers and chefs!
Everyone made us feel so special from the moment we arrived until we left. Our meal was fabulous. This was my second visit and it won’t be my last. Can’t wait until next time!
First time at Campagnola. Excellent, personal service. No rush from the staff. Top notch Italian food.
It was our anniversary.
Campagnola’s is one of a kind!!! From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family!! Frankie was amazing! Our food was spectacular - the gnocchi to die for! The cheeses, penne, steak, chicken parm - the food just kept coming! And all of it was delicious!
This place was by far one of the best restaurants ever. Service was impressive and food was incredible! Going back next time in the city!
Franky D and the staff were phenomenal s always!!!
One of my favorite places. Warm and welcoming. Outstanding food!
Amazing! We were referred to this place by a family friend and I would now recommend it to all my friends! The meat, cheese, and olive plate is great!
Wonderful! The food was incredible and the service was excellent. (We dined outdoors and it was lovely.)
The soup with pasta and beans has changed, since early 2020, in its preparation. I used to like it a lot. The current version of it, in my opinion, was bland, even when cheese was added. I had the mixed hot seafood appetizer as the second of my 2-course meal. I thought that it too was bland. It had a very large portion of calimari, it was very chewy, a displeasing experience. The VERY small clams and octopus, I felt, did not have any noticeable taste.
Quality every time plus they have a grand piano so some nights there are singers and people playing live music - delicious and classy!
Old school NY Italian restaurant.
Piano bar, great food, linen table cloths, great service.
Fantastic!!! Came here for a birthday and it was excellent. Crab cakes are to die for and so is the tiramisu. Great ambiance, delicious food. Server was ok, did what was required and nothing more. Overall highly recommend I’ll be back for sure.
Love campagnola excellent service
Rushed, rude waiter. Must be nice to not care about retaining new residents. Good food, but not worth the clueless service. A shame
Just came from another Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, much better food.
Great service, incredible pasta and fish along with a wine list that will please any level of enthusiast…definitely a favorite.
Amazing. The food, the wait staff, the ambience...all just amazing. Drove an hour and a half to come and would do it again. I ordered vodka chicken parm which is not on the actual menu. So delicious. Will be back!
