Camino King's Cross
Our lively bar and restaurant sprawls around a hidden courtyard, coming alive in the Summer, full of people enjoying a frosted mug of Spanish cerveza, a glass of sangria or a sherry from Pepito. With outdoor heaters and plenty of seating, it’s often busy on even the coldest of evenings.
We’re open everyday for lunch, dinner and everything in between. Join us for our Spanish breakfast during the week, or our popular Happy Hour at the weekend. The bar at Camino is always buzzing, with DJs on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays playing the best Latin, house and party sounds until late. Always free entry!
The restaurant is spacious, and the tables are a reasonable size but not too close to one another. The variety and quality of the tapas on offer were both excellent. The service was friendly and efficient, bar one waitress who only ever looked straight ahead! The first wine we chose was not available, but the second was, and we enjoyed it. We could have done without the professional photographer and member of staff photograping dishes at the next table (for Instagram?), but I don't suppose they do that every day. Overall, a very enjoyable lunch.
Camino is a great place to meet and the food is always good
The tapas is as good as ever. Service good at lunch time.
Love Camino - always great food and good service! Fantastic
Fantastic restaurant, excellent food & service, interesting menu but can be rather noisy when it's busy.
Food was delicious, very tasty! Great service.
Good food presented in a busy but pleasant setting.
As always very good food, excellent wine. Quite pricey for tapas
Staff excellent and service and food really good
Lovely staff. Food was so delicious we loved it!
Some dishes were a little salty.
We always felt Camino was a special place, somewhere we could enjoy some pretty authentic Spanish food in a nice atmosphere. Tonight was disappointing. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unable to cope with all the tables. Service was very slow, to the point where when my main was served, everyone else at the table already finished theirs. My meat was over cooked which just made thinks worse. To finish it all, our deserts where served without spoons, and it tools us another 5 min flagging staff to be able to enjoy out desert. I felt let down in this occasion.
great food and service, really convenient location
Lovely, stylish restaurant, good food & conveniently located by station, loved it.
Great food, good service (although keen to pour the wine - maybe we just drink slower than other guests!) pick you table carefully if you want a quiet chat as it can be quite noisy - however the staff are ok about you asking to move. Def going again.
Camino Kings Cross managed to accommodate my booking of 5 people event though they no longer use OpenTable and my booking was invalid. So I would say that was great customer service by Camino, not so much by OpenTable! Food was very tasty and of a high quality, the selection of drinks was really good.
Lovely informal tapas restaurant. For 2 of us with good appetites we had 4 tapas plus bread, we shared a desert and a bottle of wine. Excellent food and good service, will definitively come again
Very good meal
After having appalling food and service throughout London over our anniversary weekend, we were over the moon with this place. The best spanish restaurant, if not restaurant, I've been to in a very long time. Will definitely be returning.
We had a great time, food was delicious and service was great at first but after our meal was served we were forgotten about. Also, I made a special request to surprise my friend with a dessert and candles (which I brought and gave to them on the day) but those never arrived which was quite disappointing.
we had ordered patatas bravas whcih never came (and appeared on the bill, whcih was taken off once we mentioned the mistake).
after the lunch crowd left and was empty again, they seated one couple right next to us where everywhere else was empty. was this needed?
Have been before and still love the food and always had lovely service. Sunday was really poor service, it wasn't really busy but the service incredibly slow and staff looked more as though we were an inconvenience. On a warm evening it would be nice to offer cool water automatically but we had to wait to order even water, never mind drinks. Food came quickly. Took ages to clear empty dishes, no query about how everything was and did we need anything else. had to keep asking for top up of tap water and got half a glass. All of this is basic service training, should not be difficult. A real shame as food, place and location still good.
Have been here many times; the food is always great. Perfect tapas and a good range of meat and vege options. The service on this occasion was a bit slow and they had run out of both my first choices of wine - so not brilliant! But the frozen pink g and t was great.
Quite a raucous din, but quite fun and a throughly enjoyable evening. Seating was prompt, service was excellent. The cut of beef was a tad tough, but flavorful as were the other tapas choices.
We will return. I highly recommend Camino.
It’s a Spanish restaurant, but it doesn’t make it very clear that all the food is basically Tapas
We ordered a couple of dishes and were surprised at how small they were, despite having a main course price. Other restaurants usually distinguish between them
The waiter - an Italian from Genova, was outstanding and very attentive despite a busy crowd
I had pork served pink, which was tender, but lacked flavour and was quite greasy
I then asked for a plate of assorted cheeses. When it arrived it consisted of 2 slices of Manchego only. Luckily the waiter saw the mistake and rectified it
It was a hot sunny day, but the courtyard where we ate was chilly and breezy
Overall, the food was unremarkable, the setting OK, wouldn’t rush there again
Really good ambience and our waiter was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the food and the wine. Good was really good too.
Food and service excellent - little on the pricy side for what was. £60 for the mixed grill for 2. Saying that - we’ed go back again... Staff polite and engaging, wine good too...
My first experience at Camino wasn’t great, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake. This time was even worse.
Booked a table to have dinner with a friend after work and the restaurant was quite warm inside so we asked if we could move and sit outside. We just shouldn’t have asked as the staff made such a big deal out of it and acted as if it was such a hassle. They made such a fuss and told us if we did sit outside then there would be no table service and that we’d have to order ourselves from the bar. We had no issue with doing that so we moved outside.
As instructed, I went to the bar to order our food and the waitress who served us initially told me she would still serve us, despite us being outside so I returned to my seat, was enjoying my G&T and the staff told us (and openly spoke about us to other members of staff in front of us) that we had to pay the bill now. This happened at least six times. I hadn’t even received my food yet, so I didn’t get why I was being pressured to pay my bill. What if I wanted to order another drink or a dessert?
I was made to feel like a thief or like I was about to dine and dash. The staffs attitude was horrific and mid way through my dinner they came out with the bill which they insisted we pay on the spot. As this tool place, our food went stone cold and half the meal had to be left.
We refused to pay the service charge as we were mortified and spoke to the manager. He really couldn’t of cared less about our experience and had the attitude to match. We were given a complimentary G&T that was served with a poor attitude and rude manner in hope it would make up for being basically accused of looking like the type who wouldn’t pay.
The food is lovely but it’s definitely not worth it.
We went there for Father’s day.
We like Camino and always have a nice time there.
The young team of waiters and waitress is great .
An absolute pleasure to visit this restaurant. Will definitely be crossing the river to return there.
Food and service both very good, with plenty of options for the vegetarian in the party.
Friendly service and I was impressed with the speed with which all our dishes were delivered (we were a group of eight). I particularly enjoyed the cheese and spinach cake. Only down side was that the music was too loud - would have been better without any music at all as the restaurant was quite busy and lively and it was difficult to hear each other. Otherwise a most enjoyable evening.
First time visit - won’t be the last! Great staff, great food and great ambience.
We were a party of six and world weary diners so Camino was a truly great find.
Such a nice place and very easy to access as it's right beside kings cross!
Absolutely superb food. I love everything about Camino and have been several times.
Great ambience, amazing service and fantastic food. Well done indeed.
Fab food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
We weren't sure how much to order and the waitress was most helpful.
Very nice tapas restaurant with lots of classics as well as substantial mains and a great wine list
Secret spot hidden away 2 mins from Kong’s Cross station. Good food, nice ambience
We had the suckling pig and we were so well looked after by staff. Everything was delicious and we had a lot of fun. Will definitely be back!
