Camino King's Cross
Our lively bar and restaurant sprawls around a hidden courtyard, coming alive in the Summer, full of people enjoying a frosted mug of Spanish cerveza, a glass of sangria or a sherry from Pepito. With outdoor heaters and plenty of seating, it’s often busy on even the coldest of evenings.
We’re open everyday for lunch, dinner and everything in between. Join us for our Spanish breakfast during the week, or our popular Happy Hour at the weekend. The bar at Camino is always buzzing, with DJs on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays playing the best Latin, house and party sounds until late. Always free entry!
Very good meal
After having appalling food and service throughout London over our anniversary weekend, we were over the moon with this place. The best spanish restaurant, if not restaurant, I've been to in a very long time. Will definitely be returning.
We had a great time, food was delicious and service was great at first but after our meal was served we were forgotten about. Also, I made a special request to surprise my friend with a dessert and candles (which I brought and gave to them on the day) but those never arrived which was quite disappointing.
we had ordered patatas bravas whcih never came (and appeared on the bill, whcih was taken off once we mentioned the mistake).
after the lunch crowd left and was empty again, they seated one couple right next to us where everywhere else was empty. was this needed?
Have been before and still love the food and always had lovely service. Sunday was really poor service, it wasn't really busy but the service incredibly slow and staff looked more as though we were an inconvenience. On a warm evening it would be nice to offer cool water automatically but we had to wait to order even water, never mind drinks. Food came quickly. Took ages to clear empty dishes, no query about how everything was and did we need anything else. had to keep asking for top up of tap water and got half a glass. All of this is basic service training, should not be difficult. A real shame as food, place and location still good.
Have been here many times; the food is always great. Perfect tapas and a good range of meat and vege options. The service on this occasion was a bit slow and they had run out of both my first choices of wine - so not brilliant! But the frozen pink g and t was great.
Quite a raucous din, but quite fun and a throughly enjoyable evening. Seating was prompt, service was excellent. The cut of beef was a tad tough, but flavorful as were the other tapas choices.
We will return. I highly recommend Camino.
It’s a Spanish restaurant, but it doesn’t make it very clear that all the food is basically Tapas
We ordered a couple of dishes and were surprised at how small they were, despite having a main course price. Other restaurants usually distinguish between them
The waiter - an Italian from Genova, was outstanding and very attentive despite a busy crowd
I had pork served pink, which was tender, but lacked flavour and was quite greasy
I then asked for a plate of assorted cheeses. When it arrived it consisted of 2 slices of Manchego only. Luckily the waiter saw the mistake and rectified it
It was a hot sunny day, but the courtyard where we ate was chilly and breezy
Overall, the food was unremarkable, the setting OK, wouldn’t rush there again
Really good ambience and our waiter was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the food and the wine. Good was really good too.
Food and service excellent - little on the pricy side for what was. £60 for the mixed grill for 2. Saying that - we’ed go back again... Staff polite and engaging, wine good too...
My first experience at Camino wasn’t great, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake. This time was even worse.
Booked a table to have dinner with a friend after work and the restaurant was quite warm inside so we asked if we could move and sit outside. We just shouldn’t have asked as the staff made such a big deal out of it and acted as if it was such a hassle. They made such a fuss and told us if we did sit outside then there would be no table service and that we’d have to order ourselves from the bar. We had no issue with doing that so we moved outside.
As instructed, I went to the bar to order our food and the waitress who served us initially told me she would still serve us, despite us being outside so I returned to my seat, was enjoying my G&T and the staff told us (and openly spoke about us to other members of staff in front of us) that we had to pay the bill now. This happened at least six times. I hadn’t even received my food yet, so I didn’t get why I was being pressured to pay my bill. What if I wanted to order another drink or a dessert?
I was made to feel like a thief or like I was about to dine and dash. The staffs attitude was horrific and mid way through my dinner they came out with the bill which they insisted we pay on the spot. As this tool place, our food went stone cold and half the meal had to be left.
We refused to pay the service charge as we were mortified and spoke to the manager. He really couldn’t of cared less about our experience and had the attitude to match. We were given a complimentary G&T that was served with a poor attitude and rude manner in hope it would make up for being basically accused of looking like the type who wouldn’t pay.
The food is lovely but it’s definitely not worth it.
We went there for Father’s day.
We like Camino and always have a nice time there.
The young team of waiters and waitress is great .
An absolute pleasure to visit this restaurant. Will definitely be crossing the river to return there.
Food and service both very good, with plenty of options for the vegetarian in the party.
Friendly service and I was impressed with the speed with which all our dishes were delivered (we were a group of eight). I particularly enjoyed the cheese and spinach cake. Only down side was that the music was too loud - would have been better without any music at all as the restaurant was quite busy and lively and it was difficult to hear each other. Otherwise a most enjoyable evening.
First time visit - won’t be the last! Great staff, great food and great ambience.
We were a party of six and world weary diners so Camino was a truly great find.
Such a nice place and very easy to access as it's right beside kings cross!
Fab food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
We weren't sure how much to order and the waitress was most helpful.
Very nice tapas restaurant with lots of classics as well as substantial mains and a great wine list
Secret spot hidden away 2 mins from Kong’s Cross station. Good food, nice ambience
We had the suckling pig and we were so well looked after by staff. Everything was delicious and we had a lot of fun. Will definitely be back!
Have stopped here a couple of time for drinks and a few tapas in the bar area but this time we booked for food in the main dining area
Good choice of tapas at a reasonable price. Food was served quickly and was very tasty. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient
We had an issue with one of our desserts, but it was changed immediately once we mentioned it
Overall I would recommend Camino and will definitely be back
Amazing food and great music in the background. It was really busy so the service was slower than usual
The food was lovely but service was a bit too fast - we felt rushed in and rushed out, with food turning up before our drinks. It was very hot in the restaurant so after we had eaten we went to finish our drinks outside but were told that we couldn't sit outside even though there were plenty of empty tables.
Great food and good service. Only down side was the noise level. The restaurant was full but still loud music blaring out! Not even Spanish!
Fantastic food and service. I love Caminos and will always return
We met some friends with my two year old son, and we had a lovely meal. Staff were super helpful and atmosphere was really nice.
Great selection of tapas and wines. Had a table outside, so a bit noisy from the road, but it was our choice. Staff were friendly and helpful in selecting dishes. Loved the floor tiles in the ladies loo. Would go again when next in London.
Great location but really busy as a Friday night but whole experience saved by superb and attentive service from Andreea
Quite simply I'll be back...
Loved the quality of food, Excellent customer service. I totally loved it.
Delicious food and excellent service, would recommend but please get rid of the plastic straws!!
Lunch with good friends,,
Wasn’t much atmosphere as the restaurant wasn’t busy.
The food was excellent and I would imagine on a weekend it would be buzzing.
We had the steak to share between 4 of us plus other dishes like Patatas bravus and meatballs plus two bottles of wine (£40 ea) so we spent quite a lot. But it was really good. We will go back.
The dishes came fairly quickly. All were well prepared. The aperitifs came quickly. a good selection of wines at reasonable prices.
We have been here a few times and it never fails to deliver - great food and a fantastic range of cocktails and G&Ts
We went there with 6 other friends for my birthday. I have book les a table at 9.15 pm. I have received a call at 9pm to let us know that they were running late as the table before us was only ordering the desert. I appreciated this phone call as we were nearby for drinks before the restaurant. Nice welcoming . Great food . Amazing music . Every songs I like ! My only concern is about the kitchen closing at 11pm. I felt like rushed to order the food. I am rushed enough during the week with work, children and so on for not being rushed at the restaurant . If you are picky on the kitchen’s closing time please don’t take booking after 9pm.
We loved the fact that we kept going the party at the bar behind.
Same music playing in the restaurant and at the bar .
It’s closing at 1am and from 12.40am the music has stopped .
Overall we really liked Camino and will come back.
Enjoyable tapas, helpful and knowledgeable staff, why do I have to write more than 50 words?
Always good. Greet food , lovely wine ,friendly service.
Great service and value for money.
Would recommend this place
I had a lovely dinner here with coworkers and can't wait to come back on my next trip. We sat for almost 3 hours. Collectively, all of the tapas we tried were wonderful with the exception of the octopus. It was fatty and not exactly charred right. The drunken banana bread dessert was one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life and I had the suggested matching port, which complemented the dessert perfectly. The service was outstanding and not rushed. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.
