Great wait staff, atmosphere and food. We had the Halibut and skipped the rice for the Szechuan green beans.
Getting together with a friend for birthday lunch. Tried the sweet potato coconut curry, it was outstanding . Not too busy for lunch, I want to come back for dinner now and try other items. Great service!!
Made reservations for the chef's tasting 5 courses. Service the entire time was spectacular. The chef and sommelier were truly passionate about the pairings and made us feel welcome and informed. All of the food that we had was not only visually stunning, but flavor packed and appropriately cooked.
We will be back!
Everything we ate was great. We had the seafood scampi, halibut, pork and noodles. Craft beer on tap was super, server was perfect.
Excellent food and service, all 4 of us enjoyed our meals!
The food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was fun! Be prepared for slightly slower service and a noisy environment. The setting in the castle is modern industrial meets rustic charm. I will return for tasty food again.
We had a great experience. Great staff and great food. Thank you for making this a very special anniversary.
Great service. Doesn’t feel like a lower level with the large windows. Great food and presentation. $15 corkage fee for wine you bring if not one they carry. Will go again for a special occasion.
We had the filet bruschetta appetizer and it was very good. For the main course we had short ribs, chicken schnitzel, seafood scampi, and halibut. They were all very good but I’d pick either the ribs or halibut over the others. We also had sides of Szechuan beans and asparagus, and had plenty for 6 of us.
Second time here and can't wait to come back! Food is awesome and service is excellent
Mothers Day brunch. The food was good.
Fabulous Mother’s Day brunch! Love the bloody mary cart, and the french swirl french toast : YUM! Everyone is so friendly. Fresh food. Fun atmosphere! Excellent cappuccino!! What’s not to love! 3rd time there: one dinner, one Saturday bfast and now Mother’s Day. Consistently good!!
Perfect place for a delicious meal with some friends or family and for an intimate night with that special someone
Fabulous Mother’s Day Brunch!
Our first time to Cameo! Went for my Birthday and our anniversary dinner. Amazing food, service (Phillip) was stellar, and great value! Definitely will go back!
It was our first time at Cameo and was recommended by Rochester foodies we met at Goldrush Antique show where we were selling.
-We started with a shared mixed greens salad which was ample and tasty.
-My husband ordered the Chicken Schnitzel for $23 which I also tasted. The chicken breast was lightly breaded and was very moist and tender. The accompanying spaetzle had been pan fried and was tasty enough. Being German food fans, I'd characterize the red cabbage as bland.
- I ordered the surf and turf for $35 which was served on a bed of grilled asparagus. The filet was ordered med-rare and came as ordered and was tender and juicy. The 3 shrimp were char-grilled and for the price could have either been a little larger or more plentiful.
-We shared the bread pudding paired with bourbon ice cream for dessert which is Bob's least favorite but as it was Mother's Day weekend, he deferred to my choice. We both agreed it was the best bread pudding we'd ever eaten. I stopped at the hostess station on the way out to comment on the bread pudding and was told the chef's wife is the pastry chef. They are obviously a good team.
- Our waiter was helpful and attentive and allowed us to rest and chat a moment over our drinks before he turned in our orders. We had just come from selling at the antique show and needed those few minutes to unwind.
- Wine list was appealing and Cameo's offer to open a full bottle of any wine on their list and allow me to purchase 1/2 bottle of it was a first for us. Too bad I was already enjoying an awesome white rum mai-tai before I read that.
Great food and wonderful service. Would recommend to my friends.
Loved the halibut and short ribs
This was our first time at Cameo! THIS IS WHAT ROCHESTER NEEDS!!!! The atmosphere is calm and inviting, you CAN talk without yelling, tables are not on top of each other, the waitress was SO PLEASANT and attentive, the food was FABULOUS, the prices were VERY reasonable for the quality of the experience! I LOVED IT!!!! Will definitely go again....and again...and again!!!!!
The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our evening out at Cameo. We'll be back!
Fully enjoyed our lunch. I had the beet salad with chicken, my friend had the sweet potato curry. Our waiter, Dom, was charming and knowledgeable. Can't wait to return to try something else.
Cameo made our 19th anniversary dinner a beautiful experience. We also had extraordinary meals. We will be back!
Great food, I would have tried everything on the menu if I could have.
We liked Cameo quite a bit. The food was inventive and the wine list was reasonable. We are adding this to the list of our "go to" restaurants in the area.
Good food, loved the Filet Bruschetta. Had the Smash Burger and that was awesome. Very pleasant dining experience.
It was a friend’s birthday. Even though I stated it was a birthday dinner when making the reservation, I had to tell the server the reason we were there. She promptly brought our guest a scoop of ice cream as a birthday treat.
Cameo went above in beyond in addressing my long list of food allergies (gluten, shellfish, dairy among them) and still providing a meal that was the highlight of our week in Rochester. The Tom Kha soup was perfect even with adjustments and the sweet potato curry was perfectly balanced and delightful. My husband greatly enjoyed the surf and turf. The drinks were impressive but the service was the real standout. And the space itself is beautiful. Big thumbs up to chef owner Zach Ohly who addressed my concerns and was just an enjoyable person.
Cameo was delightful. There was quite a good selection of items on the menu. The server was very attentive and the decor was crisp.
Great for a special occasion. I went with girlfriends for my birthday. It was kind of noisy so a little hard to hear each other. The food was great and our waiter Devon was very friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere.
The food was delicious. Host staff and management wonderful. Looking forward to trying other menu items.
Great Easter Brunch experience. Bright and sunny in the restaurant. Lots of natural light. Everything we ate (deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail, brunch burger, steak and eggs, and huevos rancheros) were all delicious. They bring a Bloody Mary bar to you if you order a Bloody Mary and make it to your liking. Drinks were great. It’s a BIT pricey for the town, which will catch up quickly with everything happening.... if the locals will let it happen. Entire Castle Community is a gift to the city worth experiencing.
It was Easter Sunday, very busy, but seated and attended to immediately. Seafood scampi could have been a touch warmer, but was delicious!
We had service until we sat at our table. The sever never checked back on our coffee, and to see how our meal was, and the Burger was flavorless. Very disappointing, thankfully here were french fries with seasoning. Very disappointing
Surf & Turf, bread pudding 👍
Very nice, good food, nice variety
We had a great brunch with Michelle as our server! The French Toast is absolutely spectacular and my husband’s meal was spot on as well!
Excellent food, great service, fun ambience. Will definitely be back!
We had a great server and great lunch. Sadly it was just a little too loud to have a good visit.
First time visit for brunch. My Cameo latte was not hot at all, but our server said "fresh is best" and got me a warmer one (although still not as hot as I'd like). I ordered the Huevos and was disappointed. The beans were cold. There was no visible salsa and just a few sprinkles of queso. I would have sent it back but we'd already waited a long time for our food, so I didn't. My husband ordered the hash and did like it. I will come back and try again though.
