Camelot Steakhouse - Excalibur Ratings and Reviews
We choose Camelot for our reception party after we got married in Vegas. They provided us with separate room and we even did not requested it, because we had just 8 people. Food was great, steak was prepared very good and staff was super helpful and friendly! It was a special dinner on very special day and it was just great!
We enjoyed our meal very much and the wait staff were very nice. The beef was good ( though the interpretation of medium rare became medium...a small disappointment). The restaurant was lightly attended as it opened at 5 ( we wanted early dining before going to see a show), and as such, it was pleasant and quiet, unlike other food venues in LV that tend to be too noisy,
Yes, we would recommend this restaurant.
Hostess was friendly and the service was solid. Steaks very good and prepared nicely. Stuff shrimp was tasty. Overall a nice meal at a quiet place with good service. Sides are ala cart ($14) so nothing under $30 as Open Table may need to update their information. Easily $60 with entre and side, $75 pp with drink or wine. Maybe a bit pricey for the amount of food but given on the strip it is average.
Unfortunately, we did not have a pleseant experience. We could not easily understand our waiter, and he did not seem to easily understand us. Our food took over 1hr 15 min to be served to us. 3 people in my party had to send their steak back because it was not cooked properly. One was not cooked right the second time, but because we were in a hurry at that point, she didn't send it back. For the price we paid at this restraunt, we were very disappointed. We would have rather eaten somewhere else.
I am a steakhouse lover. This is not one of the better ones. I knew once I was told they didn't have blue cheese olives for my martini that I was not going to be impressed. The service was spotty. Waiting to be seated and waiting to place our drink orders, then being rushed to place our dinner order. My steak was overcooked. That should never happen. The lobster bisque was tasty.
Starting off with the hostess', they warmly greet you and are beyond amazing. We were sat in a cozy booth facing the restaurant and kitchen. I immediately felt welcomed by both the atmosphere and the staff. My boyfriend and I each had the 8oz tenderloin, both cooked to perfection and cutting the steak was like cutting butter. We opted for the $15 make it a feast. Let me tell you, the portion sizes are phenomenal, we couldn't even finish half of our sides. The salad to start was delicious, and the sides were all amazing. The feast includes dessert at the end which we could barely eat because we were so stuffed. I'd recommend ordering 1 feast per couple not two. Greg our server was also great! He was knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely going back and definitely recommend!
The food was good, super pricey. The waiter Mauro was kind of mean. We had a credit for $50 that we were using. I am not sure if that is why, but he left us for a long time. It took 30 min to get our creme brulet and he asked me mid meal for my players club card to print out the $50 credit. I had food on my fork and had to stop and dig in my wallet. Couldn't he have waited until after the meal? We felt like we were not welcome.
We ate here as a pre-concert dinner while in town. The menu offered a good selection of steak cuts to choose from. I was surprised that when I made it a meal (soup/salad, dinner side and a desert) that my options were soups I don't like or a ceasar salad which I didn't want. I simply wanted a garden salad and the waiter told me that I can't change the salad even though I was asking for a salad that was cheaper on their menu. The waiter seemed short and to the point without seeming to want to help. The rest of the staff was pleasant and the meal was good.
My husband and I found this Hidden treasure in the middle of crazy Vegas. It was perfect for our last evening there. It was quiet and and romantic. Food was great! A little pricey, but for the experience and wonderful treatment from the staff, so worth it! We will surely be back again.
