We came here when they first opened and our meal was amazing. So I’ve been dying to come back again, but the other night, something was lacking. Our mushrooms were too salty, our sesame rolls were dry, our uni toast was also dry and the amount of uni on top was such a small portion for the price. The lamb was our favorite dish of the night, lamb was cooked perfectly and the summer veggies that accompanied the dish were perfectly balanced. But everything else was a bit disappointing. Service was great and ambience is still great. I really want to see this place thrive, but they’ll have to tighten up some of their items if they want to survive. ESP being in DTLA.

Camelia is my favorite restaurant in LA! The food, service, vibe & decor are all top notch…did I mention the cocktails…keep those old fashions & martinis coming! If I could afford it I’d eat here every day!

We felt very welcomed at the restaurant and enjoyed our anniversary dinner. We appreciate the candle celebrating it on our desert. Food was enjoyable and the background music pleasant! We will be back.

Incredible. Rarely do I like every dish but…EVERY SINGLE DISH we all cleaned and wanted to lick our plates. Ever since church and state shut down the space has languishe and thus could be the new spot.

Camelia is the kind of spot that gets the vibe just right - elegant but relaxed, cool but still casual. Soft lighting, stylish space, perfect for a relaxed date night. We shared a few things. The chicken liver mousse was a standout - small but rich, with a fruity jam that balanced it beautifully. The market lettuce salad was shockingly good. The calamansi vinaigrette was so fresh, it might be my new favorite dressing. The dry-aged burger was a monster: juicy patty, completely smothered in melted provolone, grilled onions, and pickled jalapeños. Fries were cooked to perfection, I'm usually pretty picky about this! We also tried the croque madame with ham and gruyere. It was super savory, also loaded with cheese. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. Just a really solid experience from start to finish. Would definitely go back.

We had to wait almost 30 min before the waiter came. The chicken was 65 we thought it was going yo be delicious. It wasn’t. It was plain without flavor. It was a salty cream sauce without any flavor. I do not recommend the place. We ordered for starter Uni with tuna, depressing! The dessert pudding. Pudding? We didn’t know what it was. As the rest of our meal, plain. The wine list too pricy but not good. Not a good experience!

The service was way better at the bar then at the table. We didn’t get that “happy” excited vibe from our server. The food was also okay for $100 per person average meal. The location and ambience was the only nice thing we enjoyed.
