   Our waiter was awesome! The woman running the food was a bit unpleasant and sad to say the lentils with the salmon were severely under cooked. Still a fairly pleasant experience but I’d probably go elsewhere in Sacramento.

   Fabulous food… wonderful menu and great location! ! The place has a cool vibe. Taco Tuesday was an unexpected surprise! Everything that comes out is beautifully plated and delicious! Can’t wait to go again!

    It was my parents' 60th anniversary, and the whole night was so special! The appetizers were all exceptional (oysters, steak tartar, and tuna). Three of the party ordered the shepherd's pie and devoured it. The salmon and bass dishes were equally delicious. Annie and the team who served our table were just awesome. Thank you Camden S & L team for a memorable night. We'll be back soon.

    We love their food! It was our first time dining here. So impressed. We split the steak tartare which was divine. It was served with homemade potato chips which were crispy and light. Then I had the meat pie and my husband had the homemade pappadelli with pea cream sauce then we finished our dinner with the splitting the English toffee sticky pudding. Highly recommend this restaurant it’s amazing. Thank you.

    Food was good, but bar service was very slow and table support service (water and table setting) was uninformed (water and drinks on left instead of right, utensils not arranged). Our server, however, was excellent. Overall, I expect better if a restaurant of this ambition.

    Great food and attentive service despite the nearby arena bringing in a massive crowd that amassed before their show. Food is simple comfort done extravegant. The rotating meat pies never disappoint, as does the sticky toffee pudding, both tartares, and the salmon slaps. Cocktails are remarkably balanced and some offer brand new tasting avenues that I otherwise would never have gotten. It is no wonder it recieves the accolades it does.

    We had the caviar and crumpets which was new for us and fun. The Mardi Gras Twist on the Scotch Egg with Romelade and crab was quite tasty. The Caesar salad was a perfect split for two. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the wife enjoyed her claims. Our Server Annie was quite delightful. Bubbles greeted us as did a personalized Happy Anniversary menu. It was a wonderful evening.

    My girlfriend and I came here for a delayed Valentine's Day dinner. Our server had great suggestions when we were uncertain of what to get and he offered to alter most dishes into a vegetarian-friendly version (along with having great vegetarian options to begin with!) The food, service, location, staff, and everything I can think of were excellent! The only "knock" is that it is slightly on the pricier side, but that's expected with what they have to offer! I would recommend it to anyone who needs a place to go for an occasion or wants a special night out.

    The Valentine's Day dinner was our first experience with Camden Spit and Larder and it was a great introduction to the restaurant. Stephanie was our server and she provided us a warm and well-informed welcome to Camden that we greatly appreciated. The food was sublime, with the various combinations of textures and tastes making for an exciting dinner. The wine pairings were well done also, complimenting each course. I only half-regret not going for the cocktail pairings! As frequent diners at the Firehouse, we are often willing to take the short drive downtown for an excellent meal and we were so pleased with our first impression of Camden that we will definitely be returning again.     Lovely ambiance but food was not as good as I hoped. English inspired bread was a cold Yorkshire pudding (but if you’re not from England you’ll still likely enjoy with the salted butter) and the salad was so small for the price. Main course was good but the pasta seafood special wasn’t a favorite. Overall a nice evening but don’t think I’ll rush back.

    Great atmosphere! We had 6pm reservations and by the time we left it was packed. Our server was the best. Our only issue was the dessert menu was disappointing. Love the set up and design.

    Great food and service! Our host was super informative, helpful and made our experience that much better. It is a very laid-back upscale place for dining and drinks. The day we went to eat the governor was also in the facility and the focus was still on its customers which showed a lot of class. Definitely would recommend this place

    Now one of our favorite places to dine. Service is exceptional, everyone is so attentive, kind and on their A game. I felt like I got a personal dining service even though we weren’t the only ones there. We received some complimentary items on the house (pastry-like bread, a herby and fresh butter, lentil pomegranate soup with yogurt) the day we went — if they have them available next time, I’ll have to get them again. We especially loved the English meat pie — the meat was so tender, mashed potatoes were definitely the best I’ve had. I appreciated that I had a hard time picking which cocktail I wanted since there were a lot that caught my eye. I highly recommend the hive and an old fashioned. Will definitely be coming back!

    Went during restaurant week just to try it out. Wines were really good. Apps 5/5, mains were average, same with dessert however we did not order anything outside of the prix fixe menu. Would love to return and try their regular menu.
