Took my parents for dinner. The food was very good. They are picky and have mentioned they would go back and stay later for music.
I have to say the food here was amazing. The energy this place carried and the service. When they said bottomless they really meant it.
Sat outside and music was fine for the last table- not sure how anyone would be able to sit inside and not get a headache. Server was friendly but took quite awhile to get our drinks and food wasn’t super quick either. All food came out of once, even the appetizers. The mule was too sweet (tasted like a cheap mixer) but the drink with black pepper was excellent.
Honestly, like pollo tropical beans and rice better, chicken was cooked nicely as was pork chop, but not a ton of flavor. Mashed potatoes were good. Stand out was the beef empanadas but only two in an order. Ceviche was fishy and I couldn’t eat it but didn’t send it back, just left it in the table. Virgin lemonade tasted like straight lemon juice.
Biggest thing that needs improvement is when bringing the check, it’s just on electronic thing and you cannot review. They then then ask you to tip I and did 20% which is normal, got printed bill and checked that 18% service charge was added already and wasn’t told about it beforehand… so tipped like 45% and had to ask for it to be redone. Seems shady.
Went for Saturday brunch and the music was good. They have bottomless mimosa, sangria and mojitos which were all really good. The service and food were great as well. The staff was super attentive to make sure there was always something to drink at the table.
Pasamos una noche fantástica en Calle 23 con mi esposo y mis hijos, deliciosa comida y un ambiente excelente!
First time going and it was a great experience. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The staff was very attentive and the energy was fantastic.
First time and it was amazing! Definitely coming back!!!
We loved this place
Excellent food and drinks! My gf and I split an order of the chicken empanadas and Cuban fried rice and it was spectacular! Highly recommend
Arrived in Miami and found reservations available. Looked for somewhere close by and decided to try Calle 23. Parking was a challenge and indoor restaurant dining not available due to a private party so we sat outside. However service was great as was the food. The empanadas were superb as was the burrata salad - delicious! Our only complaint was about the very loud music.
Loved the place food and music and happy hour
Great food, ambiance is very nice and fun. Definitely going back soon
Hi Alejandra, thanks so much for your positive feedback! We'd love to have you back :) Happy Holidays
The experience was amazing, the food the live band , the Bartender is the best very friendly attentive excelten customer service cheerful I recommend 100%
Hi, thanks so much for your awesome review! We look forward to welcoming you back :) happy holidays
Overpriced, low quality food. I think they are serving no frill liquor, I ordered two drinks and woke up with a massive headache which is unlikely. Wouldn’t bother to check it out but you can and decide for yourself.
La comida pésima el servicio malo no recomiendo el lugar para ir en familia
We almost cancelled because when we received the confirmation it said the table was going to be held for ONLY 2 hours for a party of 8 on a Friday night, in MIAMI:/- but we took the chance and were told that as long as we were consuming throughout the show we’d be fine and had to pay $15 pp cover when the band started playing ( pricy considering there are many places in Miami you can hear music while you dine for free-- We agreed because we understand holding a table for 4 hours on 1 drink is not cool for business-After that was said OH BOY did we have fun, danced , great service provided by Harold, food was great which was another concern because of some shady reviews- The only downfall was not having a sparkler / candle for the birthday girl- but that won’t stop us from returning-the band was phenomenal!
Everyone was so nice and attentive but the food wasn’t to my liking. It was cold and not freshly made.
It was a great experience but the host was very difficult to work with. I made this reservation 3 weeks in advance and was not allowed to sit inside and was told to sit outside… overall the food and drinks were fantastic but didn’t like that it was hard to get a table inside even though I made a reservation. Amalia is one of the best servers though - she has helped us twice and both times had been amazing. Probably the best thing but reconsidering the reservation portion since it seems pretty useless…
Music so LOUD!!! Servers nice.
Amazing energy and great music
When I showed up my table was not ready, and I had a reservation!
Tables too small, food was ok. My fish over cooked and dry and waitress did not mention it doesn’t come with a side. Coco loco drink was not good.
I thought it was a nice place , music was good but the prices were out of pocket.
Went with my girl and spent basically $100 on two orders of empanadas and bottomless sangria.. can’t imagine the bill if I would’ve actually eaten a full plate.
Food was delicious, service was great, drinks were yum and music was outstanding!
Portions very small.
The live music was amazing! So much fun and liveliness. The food was excellent. I personally sent back the steak since it was a little over done. They quickly replaced it with an amazing fish. Everything we ate has a delicious taste.
Food and service was good. Don’t think I will be returning, we were asked to leave due to the fact that someone was going to sing.
Surprised by the very loud music. Although we had wanted to sit inside, the loud music forced us to sit outside on a very hot afternoon. The service was good and the food acceptable. If I had known the music would be so loud on a Sunday afternoon, I would have gone elsewhere. I would recommend this restaurant to someone who enjoys very loud dancing music
FABULOUS! Great little spot with lots to offer. : )
First time experience at Calle 23 and brunch as a whole in Miami. Outside of the really loud music (which isn't a negative, just detracted a little from the personal conversation) the setup was great for the restaurant. Food is some of the best I have had in Miami, definitely recommend the croquetas and empanadas, the taste is out of this world. They also have some of the most diverse drink options for bottomless Sunday brunch, including mimosas, bloody maries, mojitos and sangria. Would definitely recommend that you check out Calle 23, I will be going back next time I am in town!!!
Super ! Una noche espectacular , nos encantó la música en vivo . 100% recomendado
This restaurant is NOT family friendly. They need to invest in a screwdriver to tighten the high chair that moves more then the people dancing to the music. The sweet potato purée was colder then a dead body in the morgue. The mojitos are good and the ambiance with the music is nice. it was as expected, over priced to be able to pay for the rent on miiracle mile.
The food was good and the place was nice. However the service was really bad. They kept bringing other tables food to mine and over charged me for food that I did not order. I am currently disputing it and pending a refund. Please be careful and ask for a receipt. The waitress came by with her machine and did not provide a listing of the food ordered and only showed the amount due.
Our server was the worse. It’s like she didn’t want to be there. She was too occupied speaking to another guest who I’m sure was her friend since she stayed with her the whole time. And I made reservations a month in advance and they sat us outside and I asked them if we could please sit inside and they said no. It was hot as hell outside. First and last time coming here.
Piccadillo empanadas- came out freezing cold. Once they were taken back and warmed they were pretty good.
Chorizo croquteas- Fantastic with the sauce.
Cubanito sandwich- Least favorite of the meals. The sandwich was not pressed like it is supposed to be. Disappointing. For a Cuban restaurant this is one you have to get right but they did not.
Frita sliders- I loved them; my wife not so much. The fries that accompany were good. We didn’t want a big meal but the table next to us had chicken, rice, beans and maduros and it looked really good.
Drinks- My wife had Tito’s with club soda and lime so you really can’t mess that up. I had an Amore, which is Knob Creek bourbon, with other mixers. The drink was ok but after I just went with Buffalo Trace bourbon on the rocks because they ran out of Knob Creek. FYI they charge $1.00 for a square piece of ice for the drink. No joke.
Our server, Elizabeth, was great. She checked on us often and was very attentive.
Live music was fantastic. It is the reason why I will go back. They performed some songs my wife had not heard in years. My suggestion is to eat before and then go to have a few drinks and listen to this great band.
Our reservations for 4 were done day ahead of time and when we got there the person out front told us we had to wait for an hour to an hour and a half. We asked that we had reservations and we were almost 20 minutes early to make sure to be seated, and we also understood that being a Saturday it could take about 15 minutes more or so, BUT she was very rude in telling us that this is how it is… Wait for whatever was available, reservations or not!
Decided to leave and enjoy a great dinner at Caffe Abracci and got seated in 12 minutes! Guess what Calle23. You won’t see us again! Get your act straight! The personnel dealing with the public have NO idea how to differentiate between “Walk-ins” and parties with reservations! No idea of customer treatment! Our condolences!
It’s all right. Service sucks but the ambiance is cool. Food was good but not excellent. The band was amazing.
My friend and I tried brunch for the first time yesterday and we were so impressed with everything. The music, the food, and especially the service. Desiree was our waitress and she was AMAZING! She was friendly, nice, on top of things, fun and 100% made our brunch experience even better. We will definitely come back and request her!
