Very expensive but a superb experience.
Very disappointed in our dinner here. Restaurant was nearly empty yet service was sloppy. The appetizers were the best part of the meal. The entrees were nothing special. The prices were not ridiculous but high given the quality of the food. I forgot that an 18% charge was added for the staff which I am fine with, but I added 20% on top (being kind) and that made the bill higher than I expected.
I don't feel the need to go back, which is a shame as we love the style of food.
Amazing!! Delicious food , warm and inviting atmosphere. Excellent service
It was nice and then fun once the music started and we danced and have drinks. Very pretty outside and good vibes
We went for dinner with a party of 8. Great atmosphere! Loved the party scene!
Staff was took a while to get our drinks and water after asking a few times. Food was mediocre and not worth the price but I would absolutely go back and look forward to the ambience and music more than the food. Overall its a yes!
Overall, mediocre food and service. Pricy, not a great ambiance, and service was spotty.
My favorite meal in the Hamptons! Thank you!
Outstanding food, exquisite drinks, attentive service. Wonderful ambiance. 5 stars!
There was a very bad sulphur/sewage smell while we were eating outside. It made it very difficult to eat our meal. The waiter apologized but the management should have compensated with a drink or something similar as apparently, it has happened before.
We were seated over an hour and a half after we arrived. The food was okay but definitely no worth the wait. Asked for espresso martinis and they made them without kahlua or any alternative coffee liqueur so it just tasted like unsweetened coffee and vodka. There are a total of 3 toilet stalls for the entire restaurant so lines were very long.
Meal felt rushed
Great experience, a little pricey but overall tasty food and prompt service
A perfect evening out! Service was incredible. The grounds are amazing. The food was good. Wish they had market fish left to try. Dishes are on the small side and quite expensive but the atmosphere is amazing.
Really pretty renovation. Ridiculous rip off on glasses of wine.
Food adequate but not great. Disappointed, really wanted this to be a great food choice, as we live here most of the year.
The food is very, very mediocre. The setting is beautiful I just wish the food was better. Especially for those prices.
very disappointed in the poor management and service. we made a reservation for a birthday and requested to be seated outside. we were a party of four seated at a table clearly for two, which was shoved between two other tables so close that we could not pull out our chairs without bumping the backs of other tables.
we asked to be seated elsewhere and were met with passive aggressive hostility by the manager. he actually had the nerve to come over to chastise us for requesting a different table and was absurdly rude about the whole situation. he is clearly not well trained, and should not be in the service industry.
not only was the original table NOT compliant with COVID-19 safety regulations (which a quick call to the local health dept will easily confirm), it was an extremely disappointing response from someone who manages a high-end restaurant to speak so rudely to us.
fortunately our evening was rectified by our lovely waiter. he knew we were celebrating and gave us a round of drinks on the house for the trouble. HE should be the manager, not the jerk who yells at customers for having self respect and expecting decency.
if the food were not so delicious, i would give this place 1 star.
Very good food. Service a bit slow (maybe understaffed, as many places are these days).
Very nice atmosphere!
Food was lukewarm and mediocre considering the price
lovely restaurant, but overpriced especially drinks and hidden up charges.
Nice ambiance but horrible service. Waiter took an hour to bring our 3rd round of drinks and bill. In that timeframe he tended to the table next to us 3 times. Manager handled things on the backend but the experience was already diminished. Bartenders and other staff were nice and it seemed the waiter in particular had his head under water.
The food was great but it was the fastest meal of our lives. We were seated at ~7:35pm and we were done eating at 8:00pm. We ordered apps and meals for the table and the entire order was on our table within 3 minutes of ordering. They didn’t even rush us our, our entire meal was just brought out way too quickly for a Saturday night dinner. The apps and meals should not have been brought out all together and within 3 minutes of ordering.
Place was great … Everything was great. The place was terrific. If I can make a suggestion, it’s just it was very very very hot. it was a hot and humid night, Heat made it very unpleasant. I felt so bad for the staff. But they worked very very hard.
The atmosphere was excellent and food was delicious, but the inside seating area was so incredibly hot and humid. In fact, it was so warm that my dining party had to take our food to go. We are aware the temperature outside can not be controlled, but wished we had a more comfortable experience. It would have been well worth the money if we were able to sit and enjoy our meals and cocktails without sweating as if we were in a sauna.
Our experience was very disappointing. The food and service was just mediocre. Beautiful setting but that’s about it.
The noise level/music made the dining experience very difficult for any conversation. We asked the waiter to lower it but nothing happened.
Outdoor dining was comfortable and well designed. That’s the first priority these days. Indoor space was packed full with no space between tables.
Food was average and service was OK.
This is not a place for people over 40. The food was terrible--I had the chicken--no sauce dried out. It took forever to get a waiter and for the food to come. There were many skimpy-dressed young women with short shorts. I found it very unpleasant.
First of all, we were given misinformation regarding sitting outside. We were told it was done on a first come, first serve basis, however, when we arrived, we were told that there was a concert outside and we were not allowed to sit there. Although we were probably not the demographic that the restaurant was striving for, we were sat next to two bachelorette parties, both of which were extremely noisy. In order for us to talk among ourselves, we had to shout on the top of our lungs.
We are a group that would frequent this restaurant throughout the year, not just the summer months. As a result of lasts nights visit, we will never return. I must say that the wait staff tried their best to make a disaster of an evening as good as they could.
Excellent food and ambiance! We had a group of 9 and ordered multiple appetizers and entrees for family style and we’re all very impressed with the flavors, presentation, and portions. Absolutely would recommend!
Delicious food, great setting . Service - needs improvement
Looking for good food, nice atmosphere and to be able to hear one another? Then keep driving past Calissa. The scene at the restaurant is the perfect example of what Covid has wrought on the east end. Intolerable diners, over worked staff and unreasonably expensive for not not very good food.
very large and crowded, service suffers from this. dj played very loud disco music. sides and appetizers were good, but main entree was just charred on a grill. no flavor. not a good value for the $$$$
Wonderful place. Everyone is very nice. Outdoor seating is huge. Food is fabulous, every dish was perfect. Service was a good as one could ask for. Owner is a gem, nicest guy you could imagine.
Sunday night birthday dinner. It was a bit too quiet, as if we arrived after a party was over. The food was delicious though.
Amazing food, outstanding service & spectacular ambiance!
Calissa’s is a beautiful setting and the food is delicious. But the seating is not particularly handicap friendly. Also the valet staff was very rude when we asked them to put on a mask when parking our car (in the middle of the delta surge) and they flat out refused. If you are COVID cautious, either park next door or get dropped off. I have no desire to ever interact w that valet staff again.
Dinner with friends whom we haven’t been with for 1 year …. Manager and waiters were marvelous and the food was incredible…
Great! Loved it!
