   This review is not indicative of the normal quality of the restaurant. It is regarding a specific occasion last Saturday, 1/11/25. We had a 6:30 reservation, showed up on time, and the restaurant was closed. No sign on the door. No call to let me know. I then tried to call them yesterday, 1/13/25 to inquire about the situation. No one answered the phone, the mailbox was full, so I couldn't leave a message. I really hope they aren't out of business because we love this restaurant, but I would love to know what happened on 1/11/25. Thank you.

   This restaurant was closed when we arrived. The neighboring restaurant said they have been completely boarded up for about a week and a number of other customers with reservations have shown up with no awareness that it was not operating.

   The food was amazing! Would highly recommend the grilled octopus. If service was better this experience would’ve been perfect!

   The service was great and most of the food was very good. Salmon and crab cakes, fettuccini excellent, as were the lobster ravioli. The halibut however was a bit dry and bland this evening. They only serve wine and beer, although they had some quite nice selections there. The dining room is rather small, brightly lit and very simple, almost diner-like. The value was very good for the money. I would likely return.

   We’ve been coming here for lunch on Fridays for several month and always had great service with Alejandro. We order several dishes to share and the food is delicious.

   It was a perfect evening outdoor and the Fish Market has the perfect location in North Beach. The Spanish octopus is what I always order.

    Top notch Italian seafood place in bustling North Beach neighborhood. Excellent service. Great value. Lively atmosphere. Will come again. Grilled octopus was terrific. Linguine with clams cooked perfectly and piping hot. Fresh sourdough bread. Street parking is difficult so best to Uber or Lyft or be prepared to walk up and down Telegraph Hill.
