We were seated immediately and got our drink orders in. Usually when we come here all of the servers are so attentive. Our waiter we had this go around was so nonchalant about helping us. We tried to engage with the waiter and he wasn’t interested in it at all; however, he was fully engaged with the older couple behind us. The menu was smaller than usual. We ordered two salads and it had brown lettuce in some of the salad. We brought it to our waiters attention and he apologized, but that was all that happened. Food was good as always, but wished the service matched our past experiences.

This place was crazy. Had to wait despite having a reservation. Server’s first solo day. She kept forgetting what our drinks were. Would bring the wrong drinks (when she brought them). Food was extremely slow. Bill had $30 worth of stuff added that we didn’t order or receive.

This was the first visit to California Dreaming (CD). The hostess was extremely friendly as was our server. However, the quality and preparation of the entrees were less than edible. We ordered the Grouper special and the Trout. I also ordered a side house salad with Blue Cheese Dressing. The salad was a hit. It was much larger than a typical side salad, the dressing tasted home made and the cherry on top was the croissant with honey drizzle. Where the meal went South were the entrees. Both the Grouper and the Trout were over-cooked. The potato that came with the Grouper was old as it had the gummy texture that it had been cooking too long. The Trout was also over-cooked and the steamed veggies also looked like they sat in water all day (mushy). The serve apologized and offered to have the meals replaced. When the replacements arrived, both entrees were over-salted to the point of being inedible. However, the new baked potato was great. The Manager came over and also apologized and comp'd our meals. The back of the house needs training and an experienced expediter needs to watch the food as it goes out. Fortunately, the serve was very pleasant and we tipped her very well.

Service was great - our server was training and both were doing a phenomenal job. The food, however, was not a hit. The salmon was still cold in the middle and the salad lettuce was brown. This may have been just an off day but it was bad.

Our server had the worst attitude ever. We found her to be very argumentative when she was asked A question about the way a steak could be prepared. Never went back to the kitchen to even ask just told him no rare no rare no rare. He ended up getting a hamburger. Our dinners were delicious but she really spoiled it for us. Will be back for sure. But never want her again.

The food was AMAZING!! I ordered the filet mignon, delicious! The waiter was attentive and really great! Only criticism I would have is I made a reservation for my birthday, there was no mention of said celebration. I was a little disappointed in that but overall I would definitely eat there again.

This is the second time within two months that we have had the same experience. This time I asked specifically to not bring out appetizer with our food. It happened last time. The waiter told us she would try. The food came out with no appetizers. She apologized and told us she would comp it. The “comp” order was taken by another server. We never received the appetizer or a discount on the bill for such bad service. Our drinks came out appropriately 2-3 minutes before our dinner. We will not be going back to this establishment anytime soon!

I took a friend for the first time and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food was great and it came to our table in a timely manner. The waiter was very attentive and he was the only one wearing a mask which we greatly appreciated. I drove over 30 miles to eat here and it was well worth it.

Went there last night. I was totally miserable with the freezing condition of this restaurant. I told the waitress it was cold. She said they were also cold even in the kitchen where there was cooking heat. I wished we had left. The bar was busy and the waitress was called to the bar and we did not get serviced. The mgr brought our food but we did not see the waitress until it was time to go. Do not go here during a cold spell you will freeze. Business is surrounded by glass and stone both poor insulators. Food was fair no better than that. My seafood platter has only3 oysters and 4 shrimp and a large flounder. It was too cold to eat all of the food we left.
