My parents & I use to love this place. My mom has not been well for awhile & she actually felt up to going out to eat & chose California Dreaming. The blooming onion that she wanted was no longer available. Then the Prime Rib/French Dip sandwich was no longer available. We settled for something else, trying to make the best out of it. We were then told after we ordered our sides that they just sold out of baked potatos. When we finally received our food it was not good. The shrimp was rubbery. The steak did not have any flavor what so ever. As for the covid 19 policy they said they had of not allowing groups greater than 8, that was not the case. We had two tables behind us that belonged to the same group of people & there was more than 16 people. Needless to say, we will not be back.
Good place. Good food. Good atmosphere. Good choice!
Great menu options from the salads to the ribs. Very nice furnishings, great service.
Our server did a great job and our food was delicious.
Big booths for 5 or 6 to sit comfortably
We ordered our starters and then food. After our starters came and about 45mins passed we were told that our ticket had been dpped in the kitchen and they found it and had to put us at the end of the order list again. We ordered to go meals as well and they were ready and bagged up before our original meal ever came. They gave us a Brownie on the house, as an apology!! We spent $140 on food and tipped $25, I think we should have been offered more than a brownie for not even receiving food until our appetites were gone from waiting.
Great staff & service!
Aidan was a great server and the food was delicious!
Excellent service! Staff and Mgr very patron conscious. We highly recommend this restaurant!
Probably one of my favorite restaurants!! Loved the service.m, food and atmosphere!!
Had a birthday celebration and they didn’t care how we celebrated. They joined in as well
Great selection of gluten free! I also have onion allergy and they worked very hard to assist with meal selection. They work very hard to assist with allergies or other meal needs.
We arrived on a Sunday evening with few people present we decided to eat inside. Our prior two visits we ate outside for fresh air. They were very accommodating to request of spacing out with COVID concerns.
Staff was very attentive. Atmosphere was calming. Food delicious, obviously, as we live out of state but stop here every time we are in town
Recommend for those with allergies or any eating out concerns. They work to make this the best experience!
I have the house salad, and my son loves the ribs Enjoy the selection !
We have been here twice post hurricane. They were busy and over crowded in the dining and bar areas. We requested seating outside which is self seating. Although it was raining it was comfortable under the umbrellas. Workers followed through with mask only 25% wore them with nose and/or mouth exposed.
The first time we sat outside the waitress a accused us of walking to the seat without approval from the entryway. She did this from 40’ away as she yelled at us for being there. The second time we had the outside seating to ourselves
The bun with honey butter is outstanding and I love the house salad. My husband found the choice of food limited. Everything tastes great. If you have concerns for COVID safety I recommend you sit outside.
Great gluten free options. Wish they had bread also
Had a wonderful time. My family and I would most definitely return.
Our server Brenden was wonderful!!
Miss the prime rib!😢
Music and noise level to high! Makes it difficult to have conversation.
First date. Got stuck at a booth next to screaming children at the table next to us. Service was acceptable, food was great, but couldn’t hear my date very well, but still enjoyed his company and enjoyed our time.
Nice clean place to eat on a Sunday afternoon with the family.
This was our first trip and we were not impressed. Even with a reservation we had to wait more than 30 minutes for a table. My wife and I both ordered steaks and they both came undercooked. You know what happens to a steak when you take it back to recook, it comes back really tuff and dry.
Did not meet our expectations.
One of the best places for a date night!
Seafood nachos were delicious all wait staff were nice drinks were tasty
GREAT value!! GREAT food! We had she crab soup. Phenomenal. We had ribeyes with green beans and salad. The side salad was enough for a meal by itself. Best home made ranch I’ve had. The steak was incredible. GREAT experience.
Great place to eat inside for intimate ambiance. Service was amazing and we were not rushed to leave.
The sea crap soup was amazingy good !!! You all meed to try it . The chicken wing is a No no for me . Our server was really awesome !! The restaurant is clean , big and kid friendly !
We selected a reservation time, but we’re still told it’d be another 20 mins which I found really odd. We just sat at the bar. Our person was nice, but wasn’t very attentive. We received more help from someone else.
Our favorite restaurant to go for lunch and dinner!
Always delicious food. Love their marinated steak. Can’t beat the croissants drizzled with honey!
Since the restaurant has changed its menu, the food has not been as good. The waiter we had today must have been new. He gave my father-in-law a drink that had a piece of something in it. My FIL gave it back and then the waiter accidentally gave it back to him. There were several missed items on our order but honestly I think the gentleman was doing his best. Like I said, the menu has changed and my experiences here have continually declined. It’s disappointing to be losing a great lunch option.
Friendly flexible waiter dinners and drinks about $50. Fun high energy atmosphere.
The only downside is that they reported me as a no-show to Open Table resulting in a disciplinary email from OT That I had to address....and I have that “ding” on my profile now !
The front check in staff seemed completely unfamiliar with Open Table and simply seated us as walk-ins. Think twice about reserving this place using Open Table.
Great setting and awesome food!! We will be back!!!
Everything very good, except my wife’s sirloin steak was truly horrible. She asked for medium rare and it was well done, but also had a weird taste (she asked me to try a bite). Difficult to cut. Server asked if they could make another one, but we declined since it would have arrived too late. Paid full price and an 18% tip because the service was good. We don’t normally complain, but this was an exception. It didn’t agree with her stomach and she had to make a few trips to the toilet that night.
Yes , but this time the restaurant was cold, food took way too long and then it was cold
Valentines Day dinner with my wife. We always enjoy dining there.
One of my favorite places to eat. They make a mean pina colada!
Service was the one redeeming quality of this otherwise disappointing experience. We booked in advance for 07:00 pm on New Year's Eve and arrived early. We checked in with the hostess (who was friendly) and were told that we should expect a fifteen minute wait to be seated. Looking around, you wouldn't understand why a wait was necessary (many tables were unoccupied -- perhaps for other guests with reservations.) A family of four who had no reservation was told that they would have a 45 minute wait, but was curiously sat immediately after us.
When we were finally seated at a booth, it was in the direct path of the entrance. Every time someone opened the doors, we were greeted with a gust of cold air - I eventually accepted our fate and kept my coat on throughout the remainder of the meal. Our server greeted us with a friendly smile and a great personality; she took our drink and appetizer order and promptly returned with them.
To say the appetizer was remotely appetizing would be a stretch. We ordered an onion loaf, which one might believe is an interpretation of the tasty fried onion blossom. Well, I am here to tell you it is not... we were delivered what can be described as an over-sized, overcooked, cube of fried and battered onion rings. Like an off-brand rubik's cube, this sucker was impossible to crack... once I sawed a chunk off, I took a bite and immediately regretted my decision. It was like taking a bite out of the desert - it was bone dry like it had been prepared the week prior, placed under a warming lamp and forgotten about.
Next on the tasting train wreck was my reservoir of caesar dressing and side of lettuce and croutons. This was followed with the delivery of a heaping mound of tepid starch paste that resembled mashed potatoes loaded with icy-cold bacon, cheese, and chives. Rounding off this flavor disaster was a rack of ribs that make the McRib seem like a culinary masterpiece.
Unsurprisingly we will not return for seconds.
One of our favorite places... make a point of partying at California Dreaming!
Reserved table was not available at time slot (1pm). Had to choose between waiting and high chairs.
Our Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful and our server Lance took very good care of us.
