We had a great evening onWednesday. The welcome was very warm, attention to our needs excellent, and it was such a pleasure to be served very good food and wine. We look forward to coming back I. The new year when we Hingis hopefully return to normal. Thanks too for the panettone, much appreciated.

Truffle pasta is amazing!

I returned to Calici, the restaurant has renewed the menu given the winter season, keeping some classic dishes.

Cichetti as an aperitif and a cloud of fried zucchini together with CINTA Senese Ham

Tonight I ate a very good octopus with polenta .... very tasty and tender. Eggplant parmigiana ... amazing, was hot full of taste and very good backed


the "Orecchia di elefante" that is the Milanese-style veal cutlet, very good, to my husband, a Milanese by adoption, it seemed to be back home.

Porterhouse steak of real Tuscan Chianina, matured for a few weeks, was very good, tasty and very tender, perfect cooking

the classic Italian artisan panettone with Chantilly cream is very good, dessert for the Xmas time

The choice of wines is always of a high standard, I took a nice Spanish wine, nice full body and rich in gentle tannins, next time a nice full body Barolo.

I'll be back shortly for sole .... and a good glass of fruity white

Thanks for getting the heaters for outside. It makes it possible for us who are shielding to have a restaurant meal outside.

We had a really lovely time. The food was good, not great, but very nicely served. The wine was just right. Your staff are very charming and very well trained. We needed a bit of help getting in, and they were spot on.

The food was not fresh at all. everything was out of jars and packets,I may as well cook at home.

The food was pretty good - came in timely manner. Nothing great or over the top.

Great service as always ... not sure I'm sold on the tiramisu tart but looking forward to coming back in December

Lovely evening in a very good local restaurant. Delicious food and wine, sensitive service. The only fault was the strip lighting for the wine display next to our table. Far too bright and distracting.

Starter dull. Main course excellent (crab linguine). But the loud 'disco' style music a real turn-off. Can't return because of that, sadly.

We had excellent quality food in particular I enjoyed the doughnuts with pistachio filling served with a cream. Portion size was perfect. I had salmon for mains and the accompanying vegetables were delicious. Service was friendly and prompt.

Great addition to local restaurant scene. Staff were very professional, friendly & observant of current health guidelines. Only one issue with an item we ordered which did not come up to expectations as described on menu. Otherwise all was good.

Great time for our wedding anniversary., specially thanks to the waitress, that really took care of us and her special attention/message when we had the desert.

A bit disappointed not to have been able to book a table outside despite booking early, but food and wine excellent as ever.

A very good menu, the current discount at lunch time from Monday to Wednesday works very well

It was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, food, wine, service, all excellent.

Second visit to Calici, staff were polite and welcoming. Food however was a little on the cold side. We ordered the mushroom risotto and crab linguini and both arrived warmish. We didn’t feel comfortable to say anything as staff seemed to be quite busy and we didn’t want to make a fuss. Tiramisu, served as a birthday dessert, was a little watery. Was a little disappointed as my first visit was really good. Perhaps it was just a busy night?

This place has replaced the excellent XO and was a great place for a quick pasta post cinema. Great wine selection and the pasta was very decent for the price. But it could be better and fresher. Service was also friendly and efficient. But wish the decor and ambience was a bit cosier. Very bright lighting and a very big space so just didn't feel very intimate. The decor feel a bit cheap

There is a real lack of chain restaurants in the area and this does a decent job. But could be so much better with a few tweaks. I would recommend if needed a quick pasts in the area as there isnt much better around there

As usual our meal was excellent.

The seating was well socially distanced but I did have a concern that not all the staff were wearing facemasks.
That was a bit off putting.

Initial impressions are not great - the space feels a bit cavernous and the music is loud. However, the friendly (if slightly erratic) service and the decent food and wine soon make one feel more comfortable. I would stick to the pasta and starters - the main courses are very hit and miss - but if you do, you'll have a good meal. There is room for improvement, but as a pleasant local you could do much worse.

Relaxing decor. Good tasty food friendly service. My companion objected to 12.5% being
service being charged . however as we got £20 discount from the taxpayer she decided against complaining.

Prefer the back of the restaurant against the wall as it is a little less noisy. If I was younger I would prefer the other side.

We had a delicious lunch, lovely food, wine and good service.

Nice ambiance and decor in the restaurant. Enjoyed the live music. The menu looked great with a number of tempting dishes. Unfortunately, the food itself was fairly bland, under seasoned and fairly unexciting.

Food, service, etc was all excellent, just a little noisy at times as nothing to absorb the sound. Will definitely be back!

Managed to get a booking through Opentable. Which was no mean feat because all the local restaurants were packed with people eating at the government’s expense. Service was excellent and the food was good, if a bit slow. The only slight annoyance was the wine. I asked for a verdicchio but failed to give its name. The wine was excellent but, when the bill came, I realised I had been given the more expensive of two bottles on the wine list. I didn’t begrudge the higher price because the wine was excellent, as I say. I mention it only because something similar happened the first time I visited this restaurant. My foolishness of course, but I’m surprised the waiter did even mention the fact there was more than one verdicchio.

Husband thought the taglatteli was disappointing. But we found the panna cotta excellent. The coke was over priced.
