Calcutta Cricket Club
Brunch: Saturday - Sunday: 11:00am – 3:00pm
High potential but lack of paying attention to details really makes this place lose points.
The service was exceptional the food was delicious. I will definitely be back.
Stools for the high tops were very uncomfortable. Couldn’t sit there for more than it took us to eat our food. Which was amazing! I’d definitely recommend a visit.
Great atmosphere & vibrant
Don’t come for real Indian food
The experience was wonderful. The service was prompt. While I chose to sit at the bar, I'm not overly interested in chatting with the bartenders and one was very gregarious. My fault, not his.
It was wonderful place for sharing a meal with a date! The meals were fantastic, a great for sharing!
Food was overpriced and not good at all! If you are looking for authentic Indian fare, this is NOT where you would go. Food was also lukewarm.
We ordered many appetizers and a main. As soon as we ordered, all of the appetizers came at once. There was no consideration in the pacing of the meal. The food was also obviously prepared ahead of time because there was no way they could have made 5 appetizers fresh within 5 minutes all at once. It was a factory to get as many people in and out. Also, the food was lukewarm which was another indicator that it was made ahead of time.
We got the Keema Chop, which was probably their best appetizer but again, overpriced and not nearly as good as what you would get at an authentic place. We also got the chili chicken, ghugni dip, gunpowder vegetables, and a paneer kati roll. All were just OK.
The waiters/waitresses kept circling our table and eyeing our food, in preparation to clear any empty plates. It was very uncomfortable and I felt so rushed. Our main came out when we were barely done our appetizers. You can honestly eat here within half an hour, if you wanted a quick meal.
Overall, it's pretentious.
It was a great experience. Amazing kathi rolls. Cocktails were amazing too.
The brunch is 🔥🔥🔥
English(ish) breakfast ✔️
Tandoori fried chicken ✔️
Feature Chana Benedict ✔️
Loved the decor and thought the dining room was beautiful but felt like the food could've been better. Went for brunch and my friend and I shared the Tandoori Chicken along with the Vegetarian Benedict of the day which was a Channa Masala inspired eggs benedict. The chicken was well cooked but it wasn't really seasoned or spiced except for the coconut on top. The Channa Masala also only had a few chickpeas in it. The best part of the brunch was the mimosa cart and the salad was really good as well. The dinner menu looks much more interesting and hopefully I'll have a chance to come back!
We had a great time and the food was really good! Only complaint was our table, it was a bit awkward for three of us, we made it work.
Great food, very tasty, service efficient and attentive
This is one of my favorite restaurants across continents and cities and remains so...
Really enjoyed the excellent and complex flavours. Tasted like authentic cuisine. A great place to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Our waiter was energetic, friendly and fast. We found it a little noisy but we are in our 50's and find a lot of restaurants are very noisy in Calgary these days.
The food was innovative and delicious, I definitely have not had a brunch like that before. Loved the Mimosa cart!
The restaurant had a good vibe; however, we were hoping for more authentic Indian cuisine. Great service and atmosphere.
Calcutta Cricket Club was amazing! Our server was very nice, sociable and prompt. The food and cocktails were incredible. I have food allergies and they were very accommodating. It was a lively, fun atmosphere!
The food was truly outstanding. Fresh, well prepared, flavourful and delicious. Not your typical Indian cuisine, but fresh and modern. We were a little overwhelmed by choice so we trusted our server to suggest a menu after listing our limitations (no seafood, no daal) and he brought it. We had a good variety, curry and chips, a couple of rolls, shahi paneer and beef vindaloo. Plus perfectly prepared rice and naan. The cocktails were also wonderful. Our server Garett was attentive but not intrusive, flirty without being creepy, he knows the menu and he was gracious, witty and utterly charming. We both wanted to take him home! a warm cup of chai was all we wanted for dessert and it was perfection. I will be back!
Food was unique and delicious, our server was fantastic!! Will return for sure!
Fantastic flavors! One of the best Indian restaurants we’ve ever dined in. Even the naan was above and beyond. Lamb ribs were exceptional.
Went to celebrate a couple of birthdays. The servers were very friendly and helpful. We thought the food was quite good although we’ve had better Indian food, no complaints. The curries were quite good as were the appetizers. The draft beer was on sale and they had a good selection of beers.
Great food. Busy place. Service was slow, but super friendly & helpful. Will return!
Loved this place...we will be back!!!!
Neat decor, limited options for brunch but it was fantastic and I’d like to try them all! Staff was friendly. Will go again it was sooo good
An amazing restaurant the food is to die for!!!! But the only problem with the place is it’s so noisy in this restaurant you can hardly hear yourself think never mind enjoy a conversation with someone right next to you.
Great, accommodating service. Food was delicious and great portions for the price. Had the keema chop which was amazing followed by dal, garlic naan and the trophy case short rib biryani. All were fantastic and the biryani had beautiful presentation. Will definitely be back when in Calgary!
Busy and trendy- very tasty, spicy food
It was good.
Food was great (beef masala, trout for the mains) and decor looked fab. Service was somewhat indifferent, and at one point the server was telling us about the menu when her counterpart interrupted her rudely to get a wine opener.
Very noisy place, don't expect an intimate experience.
Best Indian food we’ve had outside of London. Fun and helpful service staff.
Excellent food, good cocktails. Highly recommend.
Excellent food and ambiance. Loved the service and the intersection of different cuisines as well as people in the restaurant.
The brunch menu is extremely limited and rather repetitive. While all was satisfactory, nothing (food, service, ambiance, etc) was above mediocre.
My husband and I were in Canada for our honeymoon and spent several days exploring Calgary. I found this restaurant and reviews through Opentable. Calcutta Cricket Club is the complete and total package. The actual design of the space is wonderful, warm and inviting. The food and the cocktails were outstanding, and the service was exceptional. Our waitress, Taryn, was a complete delight and offered welcomed suggestions on the various foods and cocktails she thought we might enjoy.
Do yourself a favor and check out this restaurant! We only wish we lived closer and could go back often!
Great service, great food, great decor. Always enjoy every aspect of Calcutta Cricket Club. We come quite often and have never been disappointed would recommend to anyone.
Delicious food in a really unique atmosphere. Cocktails were definitely on theme. We had our server order for us and it was fantastic. Great choices across the board. Fun, lively, relaxed atmosphere. Will come again.
Great food and drinks. Love this different take on Indian cuisine.
Decent Indian-inspired food in a spectacular and trendy dining room. The food is not actual "Indian" food but more Indian-style fusion food. Very hip and trendy.
Simply one of the best dining experience in recent memory.
Food was average.. Service and ambience good. Can improve the menu and serve less salty meals.
