As of January 1st 2022, in order to make a reservation at Calabra Rooftop, a non-refundable $5 reservation fee per person will apply. This fee guarantee's seating space. In case of cancellation or no-show this fee will not be refunded. Walk-ins will be welcome any time but will be based on availability. We have been challenged in the last few months with last-minute cancellations and no-shows, making it harder for us to see you as often as we would like, as our reservations appear more limited than they are in actuality. Our goal is an accurate depiction of our availability to allow our staff to better accommodate you.

Family birthday lunch for 5. My sister was staying at the hotel, near her daughters home. We were fortunate to dine outside in the rooftop deck overlooking the pool. They created an intimate setting with lots of tropical plants. We started with sushi and a great bottle of champagne and then ordered lunch - the plant based burger was not good (split / neither liked or ate it), the salmon and veggie flatbreads were off scale delicious, the ahi salad was pretty good-not spectacular, crudite was excellent. Our server recommended a Flower red wine that was also excellent. Our server was great but could have come around more frequently to attend to details … but overall, a fabulous experience

Okay. The decor is beautiful. The staff is friendly. The food is very good without being magical. But be prepared to pay a $5 per person non-refundable fee for a reservation. I found that insulting. Obviously, with prices like theirs (expect to pay about $150/person if you’re having a drink or two with dinner), it’s not about the money. It’s about the principal of treating diners like guests and fostering an atmosphere of welcome and luxury. Instead, I was left feeling like the efforts at luxury were just a veneer and that I—and my fellow diners—were just suckers. I’ve felt more honestly welcomed and genuinely valued at much more modest places. If you don’t care how you’re treated, and only how you look, this place is perfect.

Beware of the reservation fee scam!! I was under the impression the $5 per person reservation fee was to ensure people don’t no-show or cancel. It specifically says the fee is non-refundable in those cases, which intimates that if you DO show up, it is refundable. Turns out that’s not the case, which is ridiculous. Even the most sought after restaurants don’t charge for simply making a reservation. Major, major turn off - it’s not worth it at all.

Ambiance was great! Drinks great! Hummus so good! But main course…. mmm I feel like I got cheated from the full experience. I ordered the avocado toast with a scrambled egg and there was something off. I looked up the dish on yelp after and my avocado toast was not prepared same. Instead of smashed avocado I got sliced, which isn’t a big deal but I imagine because the way it was prepared it lacked the full flavor. I had to add lots of salt and on top of that, the added ingredients that go on top also looked different. My dish was late about 15 mins compared to my friends. I did urge my friends to eat but because they’re so nice they waited for me. So then their food was cold. We did try to address the issue with the waiter 2x but it was clearly out of his hands and a kitchen issue. Honestly this wouldn’t have been a big deal but because I pregnante I was really looking forward to healthy and delicious meal. Good thing the hummus was very tasty. I didn’t end up eating the avocado toast. It was dry and not easy to eat for me at that moment considering the lack of.

Beautiful rooftop location and wonderfully quiet at lunch. Tahini caesar, falafel and baba ganoush were all fantastic. Chocolate bar dessert with cardamom ice cream a must if you like dessert.

My boss was a guest of the hotel, so we met her there for a business lunch. She charged the meal to her hotel room. But I received a threatening voice message accusing me of not paying the bill, since the reservation on OpenTable was under my name. The woman who called from the restaurant threatened to report me. I would have appreciated a phone conversation without threats or accusation since it was clearly a simple mistake made by the waitstaff. My boss is a frequent guest of the hotel and it was appalling that I or any member of her party would be treated this way. It was cleared up easily and that never needed to happen. It’s a shame because I would’ve wanted to return but don’t think I will be again.

Everything was great until we got to the valet for our car. Website says $16 with validation for 3 hours, valet said it was $33, period. HUGE ripoff for parking! Would have never parked there! Should have the correct information on the website!

Highly recommend this restaurant for delicious Mediterranean food. We had New Years brunch today at the Calabra. Again… Delicious Mediterranean food! Every bite was so delicious we couldn’t stop saying “it’s so delicious”. Service was very good. Weather was also nice, (cold but sunny) for rooftop patio dining. We will be going back soon for more delicious food. BTW, hotel main entrance is on 7th st and you need to ask at the front desk to send the elevator for you to the rooftop restaurant.

Our first contact was with a valet/door person who we asked if he could help us with the non-functional elevator. He was openly rude and inconvenienced by our request. He informed us we couldn’t just walk in and needed a reservation. I assured him we had one. At this he said we needed to alert someone upon arrival and I asked who that would be as other than the front desk tending to hotel guests (a line of 7), there wasn’t anyone really available. He barked back “anyone” and enabled the elevator, pivoted and left. At the rooftop we were greeted by a disingenuous hostess who seated us at the back of the bar when the restaurant was nearly empty. Once seated the wait staff was fine and the food was good. Unfortunately based on the initial encounters I’d never go back. My friend and I are people of color and I hate to suggest this played a role in our treatment but I can’t think of any rational reason we were mistreated.
