Caffe Torino - Oro Valley
Excellent food. Great variety of Italian cuisine. Great service.
Hands down the best...we have been enjoying this restaurant for twelve plus years!
Veal piccata was excellent. One of my favorites.
Our service was absolutely terrible even though the restaurant was not crowded. We had to ask for butter repeatedly, the waitress never brought a cooler for our white wine even though she said she would, she did not pour the wine, and it took forever to get our check. The atmosphere is like a diner, and the food was about that quality also.
The food was delicious and our waiter was very good. We sat near the kitchen, however, and the kitchen noise was quite loud.
The food has greatly improved.
Excellent food. Salad and entree was superb. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who loves great reasonably priced Italian food.
The food is excellent! It took a while for the waitress to take the order. It was not nice to see the bar girl eating in a hurry behind the counter while serving customers!
Everything was good but I found it odd that the waitress did not offer a complementary dessert as she knew we went there for a special event, (just got married literally), and we spent a WHOLE LOT of $$$$ (for just two people) on cocktails, appetizers, main course, and a bottle of wine.
Had reservations for 4 at 6 Saturday night 9/28/19 sat outside. Waited a while before our drink order was taken, appetizer was late coming out, dinner finally arrived around 7! Unexceptionable.
4 people next to us, came in after us, they ordered, ate and left before we even got our food. Have never had this problem before, will be awhile before coming back.
I looked on our ticket and her name may have been Kendall.
Caffe Torino is my husband’s favorite place for fish. The nightly specials are creative and delicious. Try the sea bass. Also the Lasagna bolognese is to die for.
Best lasagna in Tucson!
Great dining choices...creative chef with great presentation. Enjoyed!
Outstanding food with a very gracious, attentive waiter. We will be back!
Our second time there, just as good as the first time around. Lucky enough to have Joe as our waitperson, he took his time to explain the house specials, which we tried to our delight. Will be back soon.
Have eaten there many times. Food is always good. Prices have increased recently.
This is our favorite local restaurant in Oro Valley. The food is delicious and the service is always outstanding (especially Brody and Kendall). My husband is a fish lover but, as I’m allergic to seafood, he only eats it when we go out. The chef at Caffe Torino comes up with some fabulous fish specials and my husband is always pleased with his meal. I stick to the more standard fare; the lasagna, the blackened pork tenderloin and the masala dishes are my faves. Go on Tuesdays and get wine at half-price!
Wonderful food and atmosphere make this restaurant a perfect place to celebrate any occasion.
We have been going this restaurant for 10 or 11 years. It is consists good both in food and service. We come here once a week or once every 2 weeks depending on our schedule. We have never been unhappy.
Mixed green/candied pecans was very good, scallop/Rosetta dish was excellent, wine choice from menu was not available, lamb chops were supposed to be med/rare but were were closer to medium with over saturated olive oil rosotto: was compensated 10% for over cooked lamb/saturated olive oil rosotto.
This was the first time I was there. It was fantastic. I had the scallops with shrimp and risotto and it was delicious I cleaned the plate. I will go there again.
Excellent as always. This is my go to Italian restaurant.
Consistently good food and excellent service.
I would like to see a salad special as an entree. A month or so ago I came in for lunch and a salad special was available with grilled shrimp. It was very good. I would like to see something like that for dinner ... a special salad with protein.
The hostess was absolutely wonderful in acommodating the special needs of my 90 year old parents. She remembered our conversation from the night before and even told my dad she had the cook make an extra big supply of angel hair pasta for him. Capolinni is not on the menu, but is available upon request. It is my dad's favorite.
Thank you so much for the attention to detail. Now we have a place we can call our regular Italian hang out.
Service was excellent! Very friendly and helpful. Food was good, but not as good as we were expecting from all our neighbors’ rave reviews. I was disappointed at only getting one scallop in my mixed seafood dish. The red sauce was just okay for me. Will probably try the restaurant again sometime and try something different
Four of us each had separate entrees and were all pleased. We enjoyed our evening and the service.
The food and service were outstanding, as usual. The server was very helpful with information about the menu selections.
Birthday celebration. No birthday celebration item offered from restaurant!
Great service, food came out fast & tasted great
Excellent service and food recommendation were spot on
Cafe Torino always hits the mark. That’s why we keep coming back!
Caffe Torino is a favorite - great menu and the food is always excellent, although the kitchen can be slow- as it was for this visit. The menu specials are always interesting, even if not a personal choice.
Love the Veal Marsala and Linguine a la Scoglio, two regular choices! Definitely would recommend!!
Lunch can certainly be a challenge in my neck of the woods for something beyond a burger & fries in a 3-5 mi radius. Had a turkey panini that was unusually good here that it piqued my interest in returning to check out other items, starting with breakfast.
4 diners and most liked the food. The one exception was the taglietta. Heavy on pasta , short on sauce, especially the meat. Sauce was mostly marinara and not particularly good. North restaurant sauce much better by comparison.
My experience with Caffe Torino is mixed, sometimes very good and sometimes just ok
Excellent restaurant. Very reasonable food choices. Have been there many times and everything we've tried on the menu is very good. Great wine list.
I scheduled a ladies luncheon for 11 persons.
The staff were knowledgeable about the various dishes we wanted.
They were attentive and friendly.
The food was not only delicious it was artfully presented.
We had such an enjoyable time that we stayed much later than usual.
Our server was great, but placed the order for EGGPLANT parmesan my friend and I were sharing (along with another dish) for CHICKEN parmesan in error. She acknowledged the error was hers and said she would take it off our bill and we thought offered (at no cost as a good will gesture) to bring the eggplant. We said to box it as the other five with us were done with their lunches. We were surprised to see it on our bill but paid it as we had caused the others with us a long enough wait. So the error on her part still caused us cost and delay.
Typically, all of our experiences at El Torino Oro Valley have been outstanding. This time the Capricciosa pizze was burned, overloaded with black olives, and hardly any ham. Did you get a new cook? It wasn't that busy so that wasn't the problem. Bring the good cooks back!
