Caffe Mingo is a small Italian restaurant with big Italian flavors in the heart of Portland. Let our authentic, fresh, homemade dishes take you on a journey through the old country with every bite. Our amazing staff know exactly what should go into, and what should be left out of, a great meal.

Our menu changes weekly to offer you the freshest, highest-quality produce, meats, fish and seafood in season. We proudly use and support SP Provisions, Newman’s Fish Company, SuDan Farms, Hood River Organics, Gathering Together Farms, Prairie Creek Farms, Gatto & Sons, Chef’s Warehouse, Latitude 45 Farms, Corsican Cheese Cellars, Staccato Gelato, Bartur Foods and The Singing Pig Farm.

    We had an amazing dinner, with exceptional service. Our server, Tess, handled each and every moment perfectly, and the kitchen delivered so many wonderful dishes and treats. We cannot wait to go back.

    A nice place to take your grandparents to dinner! The food was good with nice (not too large) portions. The space was a little tight and loud, especially where we sat near the door, but we’d go again!

    We have lived in the NW neighborhood for years and have always wanted to have dinner here! It’s highly recommended by some friends of ours and we are so glad we finally tried it! Everything we had was delicious, and the tiramisu was the best we have had in a very long time! The service was also so lovely and friendly too! We can’t wait to come back and make it our regular date night spot! (:

    Dining at Caffe Mingo is always a treat. Food is excellent and interesting. Service is friendly and timely. Knowledge of a great Italian wine to pair with meal selection is spot on. Everything is always extraordinary. A favorite for many years.

    Outstanding food. We had a table of four to celebrate my birthday, which we wrote in the reservations and told the server. No recognition or mention of it was offered for the visit. The food was excellent, though it was a bit loud, we enjoyed ourselves. They need to do better to make customers feel welcome.

    I love Caffe Mingo with my whole heart. Dining here feels so much like coming home. The ravioli and bolognese were simple, elegant, and delicious, and the wine offerings were lovely. Our server was warm and professional. Another perfect evening.

    This is our third visit. We returned because the food was so good on previous visits. This time was disappointing. The food was pretty bland. We had the Insalatone, which was fine, the Popetto which was bland, the Bruschetta, which is nothing like the Italian Bruschetta because the tomatoes were cooked, and the pasta Al Sugo, which was totally bland.

    This little sleeper restaurants is always a go to for us when visiting Portland. Consistent amazing food and a quite cozy atmosphere. We love Sitting at the bar and always seem to meet fun people.

    It has been a while since I had been in for dinner. Last time I was in it was disappointing and this was a try again. The food was mediocre. The steak was dry, the vegetables underneath were overgrown with hard beans inside, the squash was really bitter and hard, not even cooked enough to be just still crunchy but in fact cold and hard to chew. The salads were dressed unevenly. I don’t wish to go on and on, but it wasn’t great.

    We’ve always gone to Bar Mingo. Tonight was first time at Caffe Mingo. Lovely service. Hangar steak dish and chicken piccata dish were very good. We much enjoyed the spumoni dessert. Nice craft cocktails too!
