Caffe Milano Ratings and Reviews
This was my first time here! I live in Ft. Lauderdale but my Dad and Stepmom live in Naples so I'm there a lot! They lost their home in the hurricane. :( I wanted to treat them to a special dinner at a nice place on 5th and I found this! The tortellini and gnocchi were excellent! The tiramisu was to die for!!!! Def will be back!
We have dined here many times and the food is always good to very good. The service is always very good. My wife and friend dined the other night and they were pleased except for one issue; they both requested anchovies on there $12 Caesar salads and had $3 added to each salad. I cannot recall ever having that experience.
The three of us ordered the truffle pasta dish-if there were truffles-it must have been virtual. Plenty of mushrooms though-bland, dry, tasteless dish. No herbs-certainly no discernible truffles as promised and paid for-no sauce-just a waste of money and calories. The wine pairing they suggested was flabby/not balanced-and left me wondering if they had gotten a good deal on some cheap Italian wine. Overall a huge waste of money and time. The truffle flatbread was greasy and crunchy-yuck. Salad with goat cheese had one tiny speck of goat cheese-otherwise flavourless. Very disappointing.
One of the best Happy Hours in Naples. From 3-5pm, Caffe Milano offers 1/2 off their entire menu as well as several drink specials. Treat yourself to an Aperol Spritz and enjoy the many appetizers and entrees. The calamari and flatbreads are delicious. Pastas are made in house and are delectable. If you save room, have a cannoli for dessert. A taste of Italy on Fifth Avenue.
We loved this restaurant and their delicious food. Their early dining menu can't be beaten. We reduced the overall experience by one star because of the excessive noise. My husband and I had to reach across the table, almost knocking heads to converse.
We will certainly visit this restaurant over and over. They have a broad menu with something for everyone and we want to work our way through it.
Just know that the noise level isn't precipitous to good conversation.
We were impressed with the hostess and waiter. We were disappointed in most dishes. Starting with the tomato/buratta salad--it had no taste. Butatta didn't seem fresh. Pasta dishes were ok, not great. Fish was very good. We've heard good reports of this place, so will give it another try.
We enjoyed the hip bustling scene at happy hour before 6pm.
Food was great at half price and wine too.
Sat in a comfortable booth...very noisy but fun and exciting.
Waiter was Milan who was wonderful, attentive and smiling.
We will go back only for half off.
Too expensive otherwise.
We can go to other places with good food for less after 6 pm.
I loved this restaurant the first time we went...returned and brought our son...we were very disappointed this time The service was not good. The cold soup came out warmed up...it was supposed to be cold The waiter never asked us if we wanted a drink just brought salads and soup. It was disappointing...to bring someone there and the noise level was so loud couldn’t hear conversations at the table. We will not return
Very, very noisy. We were placed on a table for two adjacent to a service station. (near a barrel) We asked to be moved to another table but was told these we only for 4 people not 2. At the time we left there were STILL 4 tables not used during our stay and the servers were already resetting additional 4 tops.
I guess you get what you pay for.
Everything was pretty good about our recent dinner, however, it was very loud, which made it difficult to talk to each other.
We were able to get the early dining prices (50%) of normal and the food was very tasty. It was crowded and sometimes we had difficulty getting our waiter's attention.
Overall, it was a good dining experience.
We have been here about 7 times since July. We live the 1/2 price Menu before 6 pm. We would love it if this didn't change. I heard it was going to change to 5 pm. That's a bit early for us. The 1/2 price menu is why we go..... the food is why we love to go. Best deal in Fifth.... killing all others.
6 pm on a busy Saturday night .......delay be for the server got to us but very personable and friendly once engaged.....great Italian , authentic food.....highly recommend this restaurant and if you get there for their early bird time frame all the better, great value
