Caffe Italiano Ristorante
Thursday chapino special was great as was the crab stuffed salmon.
Great place. Great food. Very safe. Close to home and plenty of parking.
The food was authentic Italian food, it taste the way my Italian mama used to cook. The owner super friendly and nice. We will go back a lot now that we found a true Italian restaurant. Makes me want to go back to Italy!
Great food and great service
Experience and food was amazing. The waitress was very attentive and provided excellent service. Food portions were large with enough for leftovers. Overall enjoyed and the restaurant did a good job modifying to adhere to COVID standards
Excellent food, presentation and service. I highly recommend Caffe Italiano Ristorante... 😃
Delicious! Clam appetizer, lasagna and bread pudding are outstanding!
Very good antipasto, both taste and appearance. Bread was truly awful. Dinner entrees were just okay. Service was excellent.
Perfect food, authentic Italian. We came for gnocchi and got some of the best we ever had. The manager makes it an experience. It was great.
Very traditional food and ambiance
The food and service are excellent
My friends and I had the most wonderful experience at Caffe Italiano even with outdoor dining
The food was wonderful. Sergio is the most gracious host. We love the "neighborhood" atmosphere.
The service was good, but we found the food to be average.
Great neighborhood restaurant...have made three visits all food choices have been delicious.
Great food and service, will definitely eat here again. Soon!
Caffe Italiano serves good food in a pleasant atmosphere with attentive staff. Prices are excellent for the quality of the food. Ask your server if you are not familiar with the available wines. I got an excellent recommendation.
Excellant food! The veal was fabulous! Service was delightful and the servers very attentive. The cost was reasonable.
Great job. Friendly staff. Great food with dessert.
Loved the food! The staff is very friendly! We will be back again!
Heavier food than authentic Italian should be. Bolongense tasted a bit off.
Nice staff and comfortable setting.
Glad to have a locally owned restaurant in our area, with great food. The wait staff was very professional. Food was great. Only complaint was my veal was a bit salty, but it was tender. Vegetables were great. I am so glad they are open again.
Great little Italian spot in a quiet strip mall. Good food and prices.
Excellent meal, excellent service, appropriately priced!
We took our friend Paul there to celebrate his birthday. Everything was outstanding. The four of us agreed we would return. We will tell all of our friends about this great new restaurant.
We took a group of 6 and found the service to be excellent, as well as each of the dishes our party ordered. Serving sizes were generous. We’ll be dining at Caffe Italiano regularly.
The food at Cafe Italiano (recently opened) is well prepared and obviously freshly made. The caesar salad was excellent, as was my veal saltibocca dish. The wine list is quite small and primarily Italian. It took 3 tries to find a bottle from the list that they had in stock. Focaccia was served with olive oil/vinegar (which I am fond of) but the bread should have been warmed to bring out the flavor of the bread.
Service was great and we will be back.
We were very pleased with our experience. We would definitely dine here again.
First time customer - lamb shank was fall off the bone as it should be.
Wonderful food and prices were great for what you got
We had very early dinner reservations - actually a late lunch. The food was excellent. and Diego, our server, was outstanding. It is very casual dining yet with a touch of class. I hope Caffe Italiano makes it because it is so needed in our area. Delightful place and we will certainly be back!
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I had the best risotto I have ever had. However, the chicken piccata was very dry.
We were offered a “quiet table” where we could talk. In the idle of our meal 4 other guests were seated within three inches of my chair. They were so loud conversation was not possible.
I’d suggest they change the seating arrangement in the smaller room.
We were excited to try a new Italian Cafe in our neighborhood. Sergio owned a restaurant in Folsom.
He has re opened here in Fair Oaks. We had the lasagna, Frutti di Mare, Gnocci, and Chicken Marsala. Everything was delicious. Make a reservation and support our local restaurants.
We have been twice in a week, so it must be good! The wine is a good value, and since I had never heard of their selections, the server brought me a sample.
Life is about second chances so I will give that to them. Hopefully they can pull this together.
The menu is a work in progress, but good quality.
We reviewed the online menu and were disappointed to see such a limited menu in the restaurant. We later learned nearly everything is always available, you just have to ask. Ugh. Why not print a complete menu? Also, the EVOO served with the bread was VERY stale. Not good. Please get better quality, California EVOO or just serve butter.
My wife is first generation Italian American and we visit family in Italy all the time. This place had authentic tasty food, good Italian wine, excellent espresso and reasonable prices. We couldn’t ask for any more.
I really was hoping the food would be great but was very underwhelming in my opinion. I had requested on my reservation to be away from the front door upon arrival we were seated right next to the front door and every time it opened I froze. Had to eat dinner with my jacket on, not good. Were not given a wine list after about 5 minutes finally a waiter came and wanted to take our food order and we have no drinks yet had to ask for the wine list. The Gorgonzola salad had a light dressing but all I could taste was plain olive oil. The salad itself was nice a lot of walnuts and Gorgonzola crumbles but a good dressing would have really made it. My dinner partner had the Caprese and same thing almost slices of fresh mozzarella and tomato’s with a drizzle of olive oil. The 2 pasta dishes suffered from the same under seasoning mine was supposed to be in a garlic sauce, the garlic was lacking. My partners was lacking any tomato flavor. I will go back and try again this is a fairly new place but if same results I will not go back.
Food bland, but well cooked. Very limited menu selection as well as wine..... Willing to try again as I understand they just opened. ...but not overly optimistic
