Caffe Di Mauro
Over 10 years ago, Mauro came to Miami from Padova, Italy with a family history of Italian culinary knowledge. Having worked for years in upscale restaurants located in Italy and London, and after opening an Italian restaurant for someone else, walking one day in the corner of 15th & Washington Ave., Mauro realized his opportunity. He opened his own cafe / restaurant. For more than 9 years, he has been successful where key ingredients are quality, quantity, and his Italian personality.
While Mauro has traveled and discovered new tastes around the world, his passion is in serving authentic Italian comfort food. We look forward to providing you with a memorable dining experience.
Loved Caffe Di Mauro! The food was delicious and affordable and the service was flexible and accommodating. They didn't have a problem serving us even though we were ordered some of the cheapest options. The pizza was great and we split them 1 pizza per 2 people.
It was our third or fourth time going there as we come to Miami once a month and will continue to go there each time we come here
Love, love this place. Food has always been great. Staff is very friendly including the owner. Will continue going to have their delicious food.
No me gusto
Food and service was good, air was horrible do very hot and uncomfortable.
Muy buena la atención, todo el personal preocupado por mi mesa , recomiendo completamente este restaurant. Fuimos con un bebé de 8 meses y todos lo mimaban. Pero lo más importante de todo es que te sientes en Italia 🇮🇹.
A Nice surprising restaurant. Good service and food. Just around the corner of Espanola way ;-)
Smells weird. Slow service. One of us did not get served a starter on time, and another was not served the main course until we reminded twice. I myself got sick afterwards(( rather sad. Would not come again - sorry.
The most amazing Italian we’ve ever had! Service was outstanding and they were so attentive. Loved the large wooden tables that felt like home.
Great find!! BEST service and BEST authentic Italian food ever!!
Ho trovato tutto meraviglioso dai camerieri/e bravi e simpatici, all'ambiente molto luminoso.
Se posso darvi un consiglio, mettete una cappa aspirante, perchè si avverte un leggero fumo che lo si sente sui propri vestiti dopo.
La cucina è stata ottima........lo dice un napoletano dal palato fine
Ci vedremo di nuovo
We were given a nice table inside, there are tables outside but they were a little too close to the traffic for our liking. Our meal started with complimentary warm bread which was really good. This was followed by homemade pizza and pasta. On the night we were there Italian wine was offered at $27 which turned out to be any of the Italian wines. Even without the special offer, the wine was cheaper than the busier spots such as Ocean Drive which is only a few minutes walk away.
The food was incredible and authentic, and the service was friendly and impeccable. Every aspect of the experience was positive, and if I did not live 1,900 miles away, I would dine here weekly.
Lovely staff, food delicious, felt like we were in Italy, went three times during our vacation in South Beach
Decent food- they give you a lot of bread but the pasta was served al dente and I like my pasta fully cooked, really good vibes in there tho
Food and service is very good! Good vibe in the restaurant and we've been there several times now! I like the options that they give you when ordering pasta. Reasonably priced too!
Great food amazing service in cozy atmosphere would definitely cone back again!!!
Fresh Home Made Pasta dishes are good
I live very close to this place and had been wanting to go for a couple of years. I'm glad my parents, who were fancying some Italian food a couple of days ago, thought we should go there, because it was a very pleasant surprise. Great food, superb service. Overall would recommend and go back myself.
Made our reservation through Open Table. When I arrived and told them we booked through open table, was told they don’t even look at it. This did make me glad we arrived when there were tables available. Not sure if we got the points for booking the reservation. The tables are so close together that it feels like you are sitting with the people at the next table. And chairs are not comfortable at all. They do have a limited beer menu and while the wine list is good, wine by the glass options are limited. The fresh bread was delicious. We did not order an appetizer and ordered the pasta bolognese and chicken parm entrees. While we waited, the tables that sat after us all received their appetizers and entrees. We did finally get our server’s attention to inquire where our meals were. He never came back to let us know. We caught the attention of another server who was able to find out that our dinner had been put aside by the chef for some unknown reason, were told that he didn’t know that we had been there earlier than other orders. Chef offered us a complimentary drink, but by now my husband had already ordered his second beer and I was drinking water. We wonder if our server never submitted our orders as they use a tablet to take orders. After almost an hour of waiting, our meals finally arrived. They were good but not outstanding. One strange thing was a woman who was clearing dishes from the table next to ours, just took my bread plate and knife without even saying a word or asking if I was done with it, which I wasn’t. Luckily my husband still had his knife. When the check arrived, we did see they offered a 10% discount off the check which was a nice gesture in place of the complimentary drink. We are not food snobs but were disappointed in the experience and food considering the options and variety available in the South Beach area.
Had a little frustrating moment when we arrived to our new years family dinner and the attendant told us they don't take Open table on special occasions but they manage to get us a table.
We had a lovely dinner with the family while visiting Miami Beach, the Vongole spaghetti, mussels, beef carpaccio and buratta were all really authentic and good, servers are also very authentic people, will come back.
Booked for New Years Eve. Arrived at booked time to be greeted by rude waiter/manager and told that our booking wasn’t valid and Open Table bookings were a problem that night. Very rude, made no effort to try to assist is or offer us a table with a further wait. If not taking Open Table bookings on New Years Eve, why are they on the site and why did I get a confirmation of booking which I showed him but he remained rude and disinterested. Wouldn’t waste your time booking this place as clearly not interested in looking after customers. Could have tried to accommodate or offer us something else albeit they were busy or maybe even suggest an alternative restaurant. Absolute disgrace when booked for New Years Eve dinner and then let down. Zero stars full stop. Very rude
Food and service was excellent! Great pasta! There were 5 of us and all of us loved it. We will definitely be back.
Happy hour is great value. 25% off on food and drinks until 6:00!!!
They have amazing pasta, and so many sauces to choose from. Try the Gnocchi! Also wine bottles are around $30 bucks, which is unheard of for South Beach standards. A Must Go!
Just great flavors, different from other italian places. Very good menu and prices for a tourist town like South Beach. Must try, not typical dishes.
Great place to eat for lunch or dinner. A Great Italian family food.
