Very nice lunch menu/venue
Slow service, slow and uncoordinated delivery of our lunch orders, a waitress who asks questions then responds to every answer with “No problem!” As if saying yes to a question of whether we wanted water might constitute a problem. “Okay”, “Thank you”, “Sure” are all good responses... “no problem” as a conversational tick is not.
November, a beautiful warm day to eat outside.
Loved the menu! Great selection of appetizers, salads, main courses.
Excellent and friendly service.
Beautiful stroll through the large gardens afterwards with a few shops open.
Disappointed with two lunches out of three. My salmon salad was great. The tacos were small,
served on a small plate with no embellishment - no chips, no salsa, no garnish. Looked cheap.
The kale salad was just that...lots of small bunches of kale with hardly anything else to make
an attractive and tasty salad. Shame on you. We enjoyed the lovely buns and herbal butter which was served with our lunches. We have loved and visited Allied Arts for years. It is still a lovely place to visit. Cafe table seating in the courtyard with flowers, fountains and greenery was a treat. The two lunches were a disappointment.
We had a table for six. The food was very good. We had a noisy group behind us separated only by a curtain so after we ate we went outside so we could talk. The gardens are lovely place in which to sit and have a conversation.
Such a beautiful outdoor patio. I loved my sandwich and our cappuccinos were delightful. We had a little trouble with yellow jackets, but we were warned (and had an option to sit inside). We chose to brave the yellow jackets and it was well worth it. Incredibly peaceful spot, with yummy food. I'd go again.
WE HAD HAMBURGERS. THEY WERE PROBABLY THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD, JUICY AND CRISP AT THE SAME TIME. THE FRIED ONION ON TOP WAS JUST RIGHT!
Hidden gem. Excellent place for a quiet business or friend lunch. Changing menu offers a variety for all palates. So glad a friend brought me here. Now a go to place on my list.
Very slow service and overpriced food
The setting is beautiful, but the panini was cold and the cheese wasn’t melted. For three of us it was a $90 meal (two paninis and one fish taco) with coffee and three Arnold Palmers. Cold and expensive.
There were two of us and one had the peach salad and the other the Cobb salad. Both were very tasty. It is so nice to have lunch in a garden instead of next to a busy street.
The meal was very nice, the setting is always beautiful. The yellow jackets were annoying, but that was not the restaurant’s fault.
Cafe Wisteria is a gem hidden inside the Allied Arts guild. I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet ambiance at lunch for my friends birthday. The lunch menu was current and fresh with just the right amount of choices. I enjoyed a grilled peach salad and my friend enjoyed the salmon salad, both of which were beautiful and delicious. The service was fair, but given the relaxed atmosphere, it didn't interfere with my overall experience. I recommend this charming restaurant if you are looking for some place to eat that's out of the hustle and bustle and have time to relax over nicely prepared food.
My Cobb salad was good. The “tacos” my friend ordered were tiny and looked more like a very small appetizer than a meal.
I also looked at the menu online at home and what I had anticipated ordering was not on the menu in the restaurant.
Beautiful setting though.
Service poor; waitress staff disinterested snd inattentive. Food average.
Seated outdoors for weekday lunch. Wonderful atmosphere and excellent for conversation. Food good. Prawn & watermelon salad tasty (though a bit more prawn would have been welcome). Lobster rolls had too much mayo for my taste, but perhaps I am in the minority. Service was prompt, polite and helpful without ever being intrusive. Place is hard to find! The address is correct but when one arrives there is no hint of a restaurant, and it looks like an arts center. I circled several times before giving up and wandering into the arts center to discover, lo and behold, a restaurant!
Very nice ambiance but the food prices are too high. Probably would not return.
I liked the food but the lunch experience was marred by a rotary club lunch in the next room which they did not sound proof so we had sit through the lunch listening to the proceedings of the rotary club coming through the PA system.
The ambience was great. Beautiful garden with lots seasonal flowers. The food was very good. The only thing was the services is not live up to the expectation. However, overall, we enjoyed the lunch and beautiful place very much. Highly recommended!
Beautiful food in a beautiful setting! A real treasure.
Our group of 12 were seated at 2 adjacent tables on the patio. Because it was Tuesday it was not busy, the service was excellent and the food delicious. The roses are in bloom and the gardens are lovely. An extra thanks to Ned, the head gardener, who found the lost gift bag of birthday presents and set it aside for us to retrieve the next day❤️
We are so Happy you found your gifts and enjoyed your time with us .
We had Saturday lunch reservations for 4 people. Ordered drinks and when they arrived, ordered our entrees. After 40 minutes we inquired about our order and only then was told the kitchen was backed up because of a large party on the patio. The food came out more than 6o minutes after we ordered. The food was tasty, except dessert which was cloying sweet, soggy and seemingly not fresh (both the chocolate cake and lemon bars). In the 90 minutes we were there at least one other party was so dissatisfied with the timeliness of the service that they abandoned their table and beverages because their order had not arrived. I don’t fault the server for our delay (that’s a kitchen management issue) but she didn’t manage our expectations (only after we inquired did she say there would be a delay) and was brusque and inattentive with our party. To add further insult to injury, the din coming from the kitchen (conversation and what sounded like horsing around) disturbed what was otherwise a pleasant setting. It’s a shame the dining experience didn’t measure up to the beautiful surroundings.
Location is absolutely exquisite. We couldn’t dine outdoors due to a wedding celebration. For some reason they had the A/C on inside the restaurant and it was too cold. Food, unfortunately, was subpar and overpriced: too rich, too salty, too much condiment/sauce. I would go back for maybe a cup of coffee or a lemonade to enjoy on the outside porch.
I had the salmon salad and my guest had the peach salad. Both were delicious as was the mushroom soup which we shared. The weather was perfect so we had an outside table. What a lovely place!
Food is always delicious and it is such a peaceful and beautifll lplace to be.
What a lovely lunch we had - such a beautiful setting ... the service was excellent and food delicious.
We have been to Cafe Wisteria many times, and will continue to frequent this beautiful spot in the future. So looking forward to our next visit.
The food was excellent. The ambience is wonderful in principle, but one group were exceptionally noisy when we were there. The Spanish ambience is not hospitable to such a racket. A party with several children was better behaved.
Been coming here for several years. We ate outside, my favorite! Peaceful, lush, colorful gardens, birds, water fountain....what's not to like :-) Food was good, wait staff were marvelous. Lovely place for any occasion.
Food was good but I think $6 for an ice tea and $9 for a slice of chocolate cake is expensive. Have eaten at this establishment a few times before but service this time was poor.
Food was delicious - with a varied menu.
The setting in Allied Arts garden and the Wisteria building itself are relaxing and attractive
Service seemed a little slow which may have been my fault for loitering over the soup.
Definitely, a delightful experience; one I will repeat
Ambience is perfect which makes up for mediocre food.
I took a friend for a birthday lunch - it was such a beautiful setting and as a gardener she appreciated the amazing roses. The scent of the jasmine, sound of the fountain and wind rustling in the trees all added to the ambience - an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Silicon Valley.
The waitress was efficient, attentive and friendly .
We had a hard time narrowing down a choice for our meal so many items sounded delicious. We finally settled on fish tacos and crab Benedict.
Both were outstanding.
Nice relaxed lunch with friends. The setting is brand the food was good.
What a wonderful spot for a quiet lunch in a garden environment. The salad with chicken and cranberries was excellent and my wife enjoyed her panini with Brie and peaches
There were 8 of us for lunch and everything was delicious. Some of the plates were so generous we had to take home a box! What a lovely place to have lunch - and the air conditioning was appreciated on a day of over 100 degrees outside.
Beautiful Day. Ate in the garden. Service and the food was excellent.
We love this place for the ambience but we didn't get a table outdoors so wasn't as much fun
And they took forever to get our food so that's a huge minus
My friend and I sat outside since it was a beautiful day. The service was great and the food was amazing. Will defy cone back again soon. It’s nice for everyday dining but it’s also a cute place for special occasions.
Very pleasant place for lunch located in a beautiful garden setting. Nice menu. Great service. Great food.
