Excellent neighborhood restaurant.
Very nice meal on their back patio. Felt very safe.
A great neighborhood restaurant. Real jewel.
Italian food, good house chardonnay.
Limoncello to top it off.
We are new to the area and are trying out some new restaurants to eat at. We have ordered to go food from there once and ate outside at the actual restaurant the second time. The food is delicious. The servers were very nice and attentive. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will continue to go there
One of my 'go-to' places for any friends get together. Friendly staff, amazing food, they have expanded their outdoor seating and told me they are planning to also get heaters for the winter. The tables are far enough from each other and are not clustered. I always loved this place and right now, Cafe Vitale is doing everything they can to keep customers safe.
We love this resturant. Friendly and professional staff. The food is wonderful comfort food, Italian style. A nice place for lunch or dinner with reasonable prices.
My friends and I LOVE this place! Great food, great service!
Finally reopened after COvid. Had old favorites. Next time will try specials and chocolate lava cake
We really enjoyed the outside dining area and were thrilled that calamari fritti has returned to the menu.
Anytime dining for this superb restaurant. Great food, fantastic personnel and above all, the best of the best Rubin the owner.
We dined outdoor in the patio. It was a lovely and private space. Our waiter took very good care of us. The food was okay but the overall experience was very good.
Meal was amazing and service great! A great meal at a great value.
Terrific spot, especially for locals--been going there for years. A real convenient treat when we have out of town guests. Try their coffee to go too!
Simply outstanding. The perfect neighborhood gem and the most charming host in the business.
Our favorite local restaurant especially during COVID. Quiet back patio with a gas fireplace! Always friendly service and delicious pasta dishes.
Our number one selection for any event, casual to noteworthy. The warmth, ambience and service are unparalleled. We are all so grateful that this lovely neighborhood restaurant is surviving these difficult times and will do all that we can to support them.
Raul chef at Cafe Vitali had his own restaurant prior to becoming a partial owner. His skills preparing Italian cuisine is exceptional. Ruben does a terrific job as manager
Wonderful wait person. Excellent food!!
We were so happy to get a table outdoors during the pandemic. The only "noise level" was from traffic, which was not much at all. It was a beautiful evening, as the smoke from the wildfires had subsided a bit. This is a favorite destination whenever I am in Los Altos. We ordered the special, Petrale sole, delightfully cooked. My only quibble was that it was prepared with a batter, but I should have asked for pan-fried, so it was really my fault.
Cafe Vitale is a solid, dependable neighborhood restaurant for excellent Italian food. The staff is very friendly, and the food is consistently good. We're looking forward to indoor dining in the newly renovated restaurant. It looks great!
high quality experience.....real Italians involved...…..very good menu.....limited wine list
if you buy from list and bring your own bottle, the corkage fee is waved.
This is a great neighborhood restaurant! We've eaten here several times and it's always been good. IWe're looking forward to eating on the outdoor patio once it's warm enough.
Dry nice dinner
Cafe Vitale is one of our favorite places. They offer excellent food in a comfortable ambiance.
Excellent experience- very welcoming neighborhood feel. Food was excellent. Definitely a repeat .
The manager with Ciao Bella is obnoxious and thinks he is funny. He should be more professional. I don't think I will come again.
Delmy was the sweetest server, she provided excellent customer service
The food was good and service was very good. It’s a very pleasant restaurant with nice ambiance.
Love this place
My husband and I split a Caesar salad. He had the veal marsala and I had the crab pasta special of the evening. Everything was delicious. We were in a hurry to get to a concert, and the wait staff were great about getting us out in time in spite of the restaurant being quite busy.
Expanded seating area decorated as if you were in/amongst Italy's street trattoria and ristorante. Expanded dinner menu options included daily specials - salad, fresh fish, pasta/soup of day, meat choice. Appears comparable prices to other Italian restaurants and food quality as well. Antonio dealt with bustling patrons during the two-seatings while we dined - kept water glasses full, and checked on need for other libations. Had penne with house made sausage. Enjoyed chunks of tomato, garlic and enough sauce to cover penne. Other meals were special lamb chops (at least three medium sized) glazed in plenty of demi-sauce, chicken caesar salad, and special meat wrap dish drizzled with tomato cream sauce.
We have been there several times to eat both lunch and dinner and they have never disappointed.
The food is well prepared and the service is spot on.
It is one of our favorite places to eat.
Half of the restaurant was under construction which was too bad. We were sat at a table in the back close to a bunch of noisy kids, not exactly how you want to spend dinner but not entirely the restaurants fault. We ordered two seafood pastas and a pizza which were all good but nothing fantastic, pretty average. The afogatos for dessert were good too and the house red Pinot was a good dinner wine. Overall pretty average experience, the service was attentive and probably their best attribute. Decor was lacking a bit, wish it was just a little bit more enthusiastically Italian.
It had been 5 or 6 years since my first visit which was underwhelming at best. I returned after hearing from several friends that it had improved significantly and I was not disappointed. Very lovely evening all around!
This is a great little restaurant that is constantly growing into itself. Food and ambience is very good...you will enjoy it; very clean. The owner genuinely enjoys the customers and treats everyone like he's known you for a long time. Service is a little slow, but food is hot when it arrives at the table and is of excellent Italian quality. Try it; you'll like it.
Always great! The best pasta in the area! Love the Alfredo! And the chicken saltimboca!
The special pumpkin ravioli was outstanding. The pork special of the evening also received rave reviews. The restaurant was full and service was slow. My husband has hearing issues and felt the noise level was too high for his comfort. We should have asked for a table in the back section that has fewer tables.
Great food. Friendly staff. Easy access of Foothill Expressway. Chicken marsala was delish!
Loved the food, ease, quiet/ ambiance! Recommend!!
