The "new" Vico didn't disappoint. Excellent food and service, the osso bucco was always fantastic. Quiet downstairs for dinner, energetic atmosphere u[pstairs afterwards with a great band.
We usually really enjoy the music and dancing upstairs but this evening, the music, sound system was SO LOUD! You couldn’t hear each other’s conversation. Just awful. There must be a shortage of waiters because, the usual great service, was surely lacking.
When you spend over $300 for dinner, was it really necessary to charge an additional $4 to split a basic Caesar salad? I know you moved into a new place, but next time fix it up a little first, please. Decor is old & dirty, no wonder most tables were empty. The kitchen clearly had an "off-night", the Piccata sauce was water... I'm sorry, I can't go back to this location.
Great place for dining, live music, and dancing!
Fantastic! Five of us tried many appetizers and 5 meals, every plate was empty. Going back Sunday
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room with friends. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The pork chop was amazing and cooked to perfection . I thought it was great. Service was well-timed and friendly. Server, food runner, bus-persons were all spot on professionals.
Snapper piccata is awesome.
Food was excellent as was the service. We’ve been to the Federal Highway location on many occasions and have always been pleased with our experience. The new location, on the barrier island, has been remodeled and has a crisp, clean look with many fewer photographs and wall decorations than the other location. It’s presents a pleasant yet more formal appearance. The big surprise was that the menu items items have gotten very pricey for the most part. For example chicken rollatini was $40.00 and an Aperol Spritz was $14.00! Cafe Vico was always a safe bet with good food, good service and reasonable prices. We will certainly dine here again, just not as often.
Good flavor is excellent but pricy.
We were seated and the bus boy brought water and bread. After 30 minutes with several of the wait staff passing our table and tending to neighboring tables, we were not even given a menu or had a server come to the table. We left and went to another restaurant where we received exemplary service without a reservation.
Excellent meal, service and entertainment! They even brought a cake to the table singing happy birthday! Pricy and loud but all in all, a fabulous evening!!
We had dinner for 2 Friday, 9/24/21. Food was outstanding and had great service. The lasagna was excellent.
nice, great, wonderful...nice, great, wonderful...nice, great, wonderful
Amazing food. If you want quite. Eat downstairs. If music is your thing, upstairs is fun.
Friday night 6 pm. Live music and dancing upstairs. A bit loud and difficult to hear and have conversation with table for 6. Great food and drink.
Had dinner with my husband and daughter last night and it was delicious!
Excellent food and very good service. The entrees are overpriced.
The food and service was great. They know what flavors compliments your main course. The presentation of the meal was well done.
Burrata is 20 bucks. Save your money. It was prepared and refrigerator and amounted to one slice of tomato with minimum cheese. Bolognese tasted funny. Had to ask for refills. It’s a shame as the ambience is quiet nice but the food wasn’t much. There are better options in the area for Italian food if the food is what you are looking for. If you are looking for drinks and entertainment then this is your place.
This was our first time at this location and were curious to see how it compared with the original location on Federal Hwy. We opted to sit downstairs where we could hear the live music and still be able to talk with each other.
The service was very good. The food was delicious. Ordered Caprese for the appetizer. My husband ordered the Grilled salmon with mushrooms and I ordered the Chicken Marsala. Ordered Chianti with the meal. The portions were substantial.
We shared Tiramisu for dessert. Just yummy!
I am so glad that it was a wonderful experience and since it is within walking distance we will go there often.
The food was excellent but the service was average. It took a very long time for the entrees to come out and the waiter was not very attentive. The music and food were very good!
We were very happy with the food and service and phenomenal entertainment by It Takes Two but there is not enough room on the dance floor with a big piano sitting there taking valuable space. We were being shoved since so many people were on the dance floor, I think a manager should stop people from dancing with wine glasses on the dance floor. Can't the owner consider putting the piano to the side of the dance floor and leave the dance floor for it's purpose - dancers?
Music upstairs is far too loud.
Great meal at Cafe Vico - had the ossobucco, just terrific....... ate upstairs where there was live music.
We went to their new location and the food was just as good as the original restaurant. We really enjoyed the entertainment. Will go back again!
we're excited for Marco and the team with this new location.
Still new so it was a bit quiet but the great service and delicious food have carried over from the original location.
the guys had the Tomahawk steak and cleaned them to the bone. i love the pasta with pears and it was amazing.
like the bar upstairs and look forward to it being full soon!
I can see as it gets busier, we'll have to plan on valet parking as not many spots in that plaza.
Great experience. There seemed to be a mix up in kitchen because our meals took a bit longer than the kids but overall great time.
We really enjoyed our meal. Meatball appetizer was excellent. Veal and pasta entrees very good. Our waitress was really great as well. We will be back!
A great addition to the neighborhood. Good and service are excellent and they have live music upstairs some evenings. A fun night out!
I think service will become much better once they work some of the bugs out.
This was our first visit to the Ocean Blvd location and our second visit to Cafe Vico. It did not disappoint. The service was great, the food was delicious and the atmosphere comfortable. We could hear the live music from upstairs, but at a comfortable level where it did not disturb our conversation. We'll definitely be back.
OK, I was truly disappointed with almost everything: table cloth had wine stains, fork on the floor, and the food was undeniably less tasty than original restaurant Cafe Vico on Sunrise Blvd: either too greasy, luke warm or prepared with less love. And lastly, the piano player was nothing short of a skit from Saturday Night Live. Oh well, we'll stick to the original Cafe Vico on Sunrise going forward.
We ate downstairs, as upstairs was much too loud for conversation, given the amplified piano playing and singing. Food was reasonably good but not outstanding. Service was considerate and kind. Upstairs has a nice large bar and a dance floor -- and quite a few tables for dining ( for those who don't want to talk!) Drinks upstairs were excellent.
The crowd here was mostly lively seniors.
Always a great place with great food and the best service. Marco pays attention to every detail, Jackie makes the best drinks, and Genero, Gerry, and Raphael are the best servers.
Not a good enough dinner with so much else to choose from in the area. Mediocre food, service was uninterested, and mainly empty. It is new, so likely has kinks to work out. Hope they do.
Great Happy Hour with live entertainment & dancing!!! The HH food was fantastic. We had the lamb lollypops (4) and the mini meatballs (4) both were excellent!
Wonderful menu. Just like the original. Fresh and delicious.
We have always loved going to CafeVico and were excited to try their new location. They kept their high standards although they they did have a limited menu. I wanted their clams casino or artichokes but they were not on the menu yet. I did love my carbanara and chicken parm.
We went for the live music and really enjoyed the singer and song selections but the music was way too loud. I don’t like to shout to have a conversation with the person next to me. We had great service at the bar from Joan and really enjoyed the lasagna. It was a top notch experience other than the music being too loud.
