Staff made sure to make an engagement proposal highly memorable and enjoyable. Would come here again and recommend to friends and family. Delicious food, great environment, friendly and attentive staff, and great value. 5 stars all around.
The food is absolutely fabulous, the service was impeccable, it was peaceful with soft jazz playing lightly in the background. My dinner companion said, "It was like we left town". Amazing experience, highly recommend.
Great night! Our server Lance was the best!!!
Our service and food was outstanding!!
Delicious food, excellent staff, great atmosphere. We knew it was a more expensive menu, so the prices didn’t surprise us. It seems like everything costs more since COVID, so we didn’t mind. Everything else made up for it.
This was a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary. The food was excellent and service top notch.
Delightful staff, beautiful setting and delicious food and drinks!
Excellent, very noisy table nearby.
Food was very good. My steak was slightly over cooked. Turtle soup was excellent. Service was okay. A bit slow. 2 tables that came in after us got their food before us. Had to ask for bread well into our meal. My tea was never refilled. Server was very nice but may have been working too many tables.
Outstanding restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I will definitely eat there again.
Definitely will return. Dinner was delicious. Service was excellent.
A little underwhelming compared to other restaurants in the same price point locally. Steak was cooked perfectly but needed salt, scallops not as tender as expected
Food was very good. Kitchen/service was a little slow but they may have trouble staffing like everyone else. Would def go back again.
The food and the service was outstanding ! Chelsea was our server.
The best restaurant in Lafayette!
I love Cafe' Vermilionville. It has been a favorite of mine and my husbands for 20 years now. I have never had a bad experience and the food and service is always top notch.
Great service and excellent menu. Will be back!!!!!
We celebrated my birthday there and it was absolutely fantastic from the moment we walked in. We had an excellent waiter who was very attentive to our needs. Everything was prepared to perfection. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone. The atmosphere the service the noise level everything was super .
Our waiter, Lance, made our evening. Great in every way. Even got our silly jokes. And recommended a favorite drink of his that relaxed me for the first time since cover!
Dinner was very well paced with time in between to talk and laugh and digest.
Great gumbo, warm spinach salad excellent... hadn't had one in years.
Scallops great, fish great, desserts superb!
So happy to have rediscovered Vermilionville. Spent many fun evenings here in the 80's. Remember Judge Roy Beans?
As always Cafe V is excellent in every regard. I recommended to two colleagues for us to have a business discussion there and they were equally impressed.
Each time we dine here, everything is nice! Tonight we had the pleasure of meeting Chelsea who was delightful. My wife and I enjoyed our dinner and the service was superb. Thank y’all
Always wonderful. Seemed the staff was pretty busy. We had drinks from the bar we brought to table but server took quite awhile before acknowledging us initially but great after that.
We were told that the food here was equal to the top restaurants in New Orleans. It is not. But we had a good seafood meal. Our server was a delight.
Besides the ambiance of dining in a century old home, the food and service is outstanding.
Fantastic dining. Lance our waiter was great. Fresh gulf seafood, turtle soup and gumbo as good as anywhere. This is fine dining in a casual beautiful place. Highly recommended
Dinners at Cafe Vermillionville are always special, even without an occasion to celebrate. Their fish dishes start with excellent snapper or a fresh gulf fish and include unexpected pairings such as coconut cream and jalapeño rice that entice you to take bite after bite, enjoying each more than the last. The staff is attentive, yet unobtrusive and all of this takes place in a charming 1834 building. Who could ask for anything more?
We were visiting and I looked at the reviews and the menu and chose this restaurant. It was a great choice! We were greeted by the hostess and seated at a nice table. The server was very nice and knowledgeable about the wines and the food. We are still talking about it and what a great dinner.
Excellent dining experience. Building is historic and beautiful. Everything start to finish was high quality. A wonderful evening.
For the small portions, not worth the prices.
The staff was very courteous and helpful. The anniversary card was unexpected. The food was delicious.
Chelsea was our fantastic sever. Food is always perfect. Coconut snapper is what we get EVERY time. Well and drinks too!!
Really enjoyed dinner this evening with my wife and kids. We ordered the appetizer sampler, coconut snapper, pork chop and scallop with crabmeat entrees. My son was very satisfied with his pork chop entree which is amazing because he can be very critical and a picky eater. My daughter and I really enjoyed our buttery scallops with the sweet corn pan sauce. The wife had the coconut shrimp and she raved about how well it was prepared and taste.
Moldy air conditioning system ruined my evening.
Arrived and A/C unit was not running when we sat at table.
10 minutes after the A/C system turned on I started having a sinus attack...ie-runny nose, then uncontrollable sneezing, this had to leave my 33 year wedding anniversary dinner and my spouse paid the bill. Not a good evening.
Confirmed mold build up on all vent registers throughout the restaurant.
At a minimum, this old historic building needs to be treated for mold in the A/C duct work.
Love the concert series. Beautiful with tent lights. I know it was for an upcoming wedding but it made a beautiful canopy like listening under the stars!
We walked in and the maitre d' seemed dismissive and unwelcoming. He put us down for a table meant for someone who had a birthday so wasn't attentive. But once we sat down we had a great waiter with awesome food. Would love to go back, just hope we are welcomed better next time
Great night with a great server!
Food is always delicious and the service is exceptional.
The Wednesday night Courtyard Concert was simply amazing - the music was most enjoyable and the food as amazing as always. This is a wonderful break in a hectic week!
This is definitely an experience you don't want to miss - the food is amazing along with Andrea, Ken and the staff - you will never be disappointed at Cafe Vermilionville!!!!
