   First time we went on a date night second time we went with the kids. The menu had half portions for children. We ordered and were ignored until the food arrived. The linguine and marinara sauce I ordered for my 2 year old son was full of onions and things that he would not eat. I originally ordered plain marinara sauce but I was given an adult version. I sent it back and we were finished eating before his food came out. It was too hot for him to consume so we took it to go. The waiter took the first dish off the bill but never offered an apology. I enjoyed my first experience better

   Food was great. Service was slowish, but ok, especially considering how busy they were. Room was somewhat noisy, but not unbearable. Once the table next to us settled down it was just 'buzzing'. Would go back because all food we had (lasagna, pork osso buco, tortellini, and chicken francese) were great and reasonably priced. Soooo disappointed I forgot my doggie bag - the pork in my osso buco was flavorful, and falling off the bone. Risotto was great. When they had time, service was great, but we seemed to hit their busiest. Bread basket re-filled without asking, and no problem to replace our dipping oil. Avoid a Friday evening at 6 ;)

   One of our favorite places to visit in downtown Wilkes Barre. The food is always delicious and the drinks (blueberry martini is my favorite) never disappoint.

    1. Service was horrible, waiter was rude and paid us no attention. Had to ask 3 times for a beer 2. Food was not good . Mussels tasted old and gritty, our salads must have been kept in freezer, burata was solid . All seafood tasted old and pasta was extremely greasy. 3. Do not eat here, they do not deserve your money

    Solid food, pleasant service. Twice I have had undercooked food (first time a veal chop and then a sea bass) but this was fixed by sending it back to kitchen. Tasty meal so worth visiting. Tiramisu was very good

    First time eating at Cafe Toscana. I liked it as soon as I walked in the door, happy people (staff & customers) and it smelled so good. I had the pasta Fagioli soup and it reminded me of the soup my best friends grandmother’s (from Italy) used to make and it was delicious. My Caesar salad with grilled chicken was very good, I added a little more dressing and then it was terrific. My husband had the avocado and lobster salad , he thoroughly enjoyed it. I stole and a bite and I thought it was really delicious. My only comment would be that the servers need to check in a bit more after the food is served and maybe ask if we would like another glass of wine. I will definitely be back.

    Sad to say but it was a poor experience. Server took our order. We had to ask for our drinks over 30 mins later. Never received apps. Come to find out our entire order was never put in. We were there 1.5 hours, one drink each and no food.

    Had an excellent experience at Cafe Toscana. Food was prepared well and served promptly. Service was great considering it was a full house prior to a show at the Kirby Center. Definitely will dine there again

    Used open table to make reservations Entered birthday under occasions and asked a question. Received no response on the question. Upon arrival, the bartender just gave us random table in a corner. Long wait for a drink order. Had to request a wine list. Meal was average at best. My “16 oz” veal chop came out as 2 thin chops ( doubt it was 16 oz) at a price of $38! Never came around to see if everything was ok. Waited too long to take our dessert order so we just got our check and left. Most likely will not return.

    I moved from New York one year ago. I missed a good Italian restaurant. Now I’ve found my Italian restaurant. Cafe Toscana reminds me of my time spent in Italy. Service was great, Food was delicious and served to perfection. First class service with reasonable prices. I highly recommend!

    My family and I, party of 6, had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Toscana for first time. The experience and food was tremendous from atmosphere, to drinks, to fabulous staff and efficiency. We will definitely be back! Thank you Cafe Toscana!

    The halibut was delicious however the Gamberi Toscana was a bit bland. Not much flavor although supposed to be in a garlic wine sauce.

    This is our favorite restaurant in Wilkes-Barre area! Our daughter goes to college nearby and we were lucky enough to find Cafe Toscana early in her college career. We have enjoyed several family celebrations here and highly recommend it to others. The food is delicious and the price fair. The employees are friendly and provide excellent service. If you want a fine Italian meal you should make a reservation at Cafe Toscana.

    We went to the restaurant prior to a show nearby. The restaurant was very busy due to the show. We were rushed through our meal so they could turn the table. I ordered a special and asked how it was prepared and explained that I needed gluten free sides. The entree came with a different side that was not gluten free. The staff did not seem to understand what I was asking for. The food was good and ambiance is very nice. We were disappointed in the service.

    Had better meal here before. Bread was not fresh, veal chop ordered medium was rear and i should have returned it for additional cooking and vegetables were soaking in oil. Wine selection by glass was decent.

    Great menu! My scallops were excellent. My husband asked if the pasta dish was spicy and was told no. It really was too spicy for him. Service was very good until we finished our meal. Had to ask about dessert and after an inordinate delay trying to get someone’s attention finally got someone’s. They weren’t overly busy and didn’t seem to be short staffed, but it didn’t seem like anyone was responsible for our table. We’d probably give them another try.
