Every person in our group had an incredible dinner. From the octopus appetizers, the salmon and risotto and rack of lamb to the exquisite desert it was simply perfect.
Loved my dinner. The pastas are delicious. I’d highly recommend Tiramisu for a wonderful evening.
The waiter is very welcoming and the serve you right away, the food was to die for. The Risotto was so delicious
They were really hospitable and professional. Went for a celebration and they added to the experience.
Excellent service, food, ambiance. I love introducing people to Cafe Tiramisu who have never been before - they are always very happy to have "found" a new favorite restaurant!
When we visit San Francisco we always make sure to have dinner here. WE are never disappointed. It is a must eat place.
Good experience and great food.
Housemade pasta, fabulous fish - what's not to love!! Great TGIF place to catch up with old friends.
Café Tiramisu is a San Francisco Classic. They have been serving patrons for over 30 years. Pino & Giuseppe have the formula down! My favorite restaurant in SF!
The restaurant was recommended by friends and we soon learned they were absolutely right. This is the best restaurant for Italian food in the city. We dined there for lunch and all the entree’s were well prepared, nice presentation and delicious. The service is fantastic and the owner of the restaurant took the time to come to our table and greet us. I highly recommend this hidden little gem if you’re looking for an authentic Italian meal.
Service was terrific
Cafe Tiramisu is a beautiful restaurant for dining in or outside. The food is exquisite and elegantly served. I went to celebrate my birthday and so my cannoli came with a candle and a rendition of Happy Birthday. And we received the traditional free glass of limoncello at the end of our meal.
The service can be improved. Unfriendly, not efficient and not attentive at all.
Service was poor! Waited more than 30 minutes standing outside in the cold before being greeted, despite having made and confirmed reservations. Eventually we were seated at worst table, looking directly at the man washing dishes in the kitchen and staircase to restroom, even though several other tables were available. Food was good but we weren’t served for an hour. Very disappointing celebration for our 30th anniversary! We’ll never go back.
One would think the (Italian-speaking?) restaurateur knew the difference between linguine and spaghetti - alas not here. I had ordered linguine with clams and received spaghetti. When I pointed this out to the waiter, the owner came to our table and kept talking about freshly made, though I kept saying but these are spaghetti. He offered to give me something else, but at that point, I just accepted the spaghetti. The entire dish was very salty and the clams were slightly overcooked. My dining companion liked her pasta but thought the service was lagging, which it was.
The service was wonderful! We all found something amazing to eat and enjoyed the beautiful ambiance.
The food and service was amazing! I will return on my next trip to San Francisco. Everyone in our party of 5 loved there food. We had both seafood and homemade pastas.
This was an amazing last minute find. We had the mushroom gnocchi, prosciutto wrapped snapper, steamer clams, oysters on the half shell. We could barely make it home, we were so full. The service was amazing too. We will defiantly come back next time we are in town.
Cuisine was fine but without surprise. It was the classic fare that you expect to find in a good American-Italian eatery. Service was good but lacked warmth. General atmosphere is a little lackluster. Not a bad experience, but certainly not a destination for foodies, or for a special evening.
We couldn't have been more pleased. Homemade pasta and excellent drinks.
Great food fun outside patio dining
We were a group of 22 people and I was nervous that ordering off of a standard menu would be a problem for when we all got our food. Needless to say, it wasn’t a problem at all so things clearly run well in the kitchen. We started with appetizers and it set the tone for the rest of the meal. Everything was wonderful, the service was terrific and afterwards I got many compliments on the choice of restaurant. I can’t stress the service enough. Despite being a large party our experience felt very personal.
This is one of the hidden gems in SF and I just love coming here. Food is so great, wonderful stuff, always ready to help and to make your dining experience special... Great value considering what you spend at other places.
The service is outstanding, the food absolutely delicious and has a terrific ambiance. Had an amazing work group lunch at cafe Tiramisu and will for sure go back soon.
Food and service is excellent! This is the second we have eaten at Cafe Tiramisu and the food was excellent both times. I recommend the grilled octupus as starter, as it is the best in San Francisco!
EXCELLENT!!!!! GO HERE!!! Food is so great and fresh. The staff is so nice and the place is very clean!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in SF. I was a little surprised when we arrived and found the restaurant to be closed due to a private party. We had reservations, so they seated us outside. Our servers were very attentive considering the party going on inside. Everyone is our group said their dinners were good, but my Veal Saltimbocca was a huge disappointment. Instead of thin slices of veal, I was served two thin veal chops with large bones and very little meat. They actually tasted a little “off”. I’ve had their Saltimbocca before and it’s usually delicious.
I know we’ll go back. I’m just hoping it was a crazy busy night and it’s too bad we did ‘t know in advance.
This one our favorite Italian restaurants in San Francisco. The pasta dishes and risotto are excellent. The service is also top notch. The owner makes a point to personally interact with his guests, including our family. He made us feel right at home.
My daughters birthday
Too bright. Lower light would be more romantic.
The food overall was good as was the service. I ordered the shrimp risotto and was somewhat disappointed to receive 5 small shrimp for almost 30 dollars. The risotto was very good tho but I would not order it again.
I have been going to Tiramisu for 30 years since I started my Company at 120 Montgomery around the corner. Since retiring, I return whenever I am back in California, and for any timely special occasions (e.g. birthdays, etc.), I have never had a bad meal at Tiramisu, and I am amazed that it isn't sold out every night. The dishes are not just very good, but excellent. This time I was celebrating my return to Maine with my youngest daughter and her husband. We shared the consistently excellent grilled octopus dish, a dozen oysters, and two of us had the seafood medley and my daughter had the special (grilled rack of lamb). Of course, we all shared tastes and loved every dish. My only regret is that they no longer serve their dessert sampler, however, their namesake Tiramisu is as good as ever. I have recommended to Tiramisu to friends traveling to SF and all have been very pleased. Praise goes to on-site owner Guiseppe for consistently producing outstanding dishes. I'll be back.
The appetizers were so good and the risotto was amazing! The place had a very nice charm to it and the server we had was friendly, helpful, and really great with the group. Will definitely be going again!
What a find! Not sure there is a rational reason I’d never been to Cafe Tiramisu after years working in FIDI, but there you have it! What a gem in every possible regard!
As usual, our meal was fantastic. The octopus is the best we have had in the world (no exaggeration), and the pastas are all delicious. I had ricotta and spinach ravioli, and Patti had the truffle-stuffed gnocchi. Giuseppe was a gracious host, as usual, and Pino was in Italy due to the passing of his father. Condolences Pino. Our favorite SF restaurant!!
Food and ambience wonderful. Papadelle sauce is perfection. Our friends had fresh fish and lamb specials. My husband had the prime New your steak. We also had a Chianti that wash delicious. Would encourage everyone to go there. All four of us were very pleased.
A gem in the financial district. Fabulous homemade Italian food that was fresh and delicious. The owner is friendly and direct from Italy. Even on a cool night the outdoor seating was cozy. The signature Tiramisu was the icing on the cake.
Great dinner, Giuseppe made some terrific recommendations and the kitchen was firing on all cylinders. Fanny Bay oysters, Spanish Octopus salad, veal piccata with a lovely risotto, interesting take on cannoli and great wine and desert wine pairings.
Did not end up dining at restaurant - servers never came to greet us despite seeing us waiting
Authentic Italian cuisine with quick service for your hour lunch in the financial district. Definitely recommended.
