Service was amazing. We got the thanksgiving meal and it was good, but the brunch menu looked delightful! My picky 5 year old, ate every bite of his plate. We will for sure be back!
Had Sunday brunch. Restaurant was packed and a bit noisy but with live music was still quite enjoyable. Best breakfast steak - ribeye - I ever had. Interesting Cajun twist on the menu. The omelette Trinity - crawfish, crabs, and shrimp – was “to die for” according to my sister. Too bad this place is so far from Baton Rouge where we live. Nevertheless, I will be back.
Delicious food in an upscale environment. The piano player was a bit much, and we were seated near the kitchen door (no view), but the food made up for it.
Outstanding experience, exceptional service, and excellent food
Service,Setting and Food was great.
Live Music was added bonus!
Food and everything was Awesome as always! Everyone of the servers is awesome!
Delishious food, atmosphere and service was great. Ate here 2 days in a row. Saturday night and Sunday brunch. Music was a little loud, but ok. I’ve been here about 4 or 5 times now and never disappointed. Thanks for the great food!
I'm so happy to have found this place. The atmosphere is beautiful. Our server was prompt and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. I had a filet which was cooked perfectly. I'll definitely be back, when in the area.
We visited for my birthday. There was a jazz duo playing and it was a fantastic night. I brought my 6 year old, my mom, and my granny. My Filet mignon was (insert every word the equals delicious and cooked perfectly). The music was wonderful and a perfect volume. Didn't have to yell over it but we could speak comfortably with the sound and enjoy it at the same time. I got a happy birthday song and a delicious bread pudding on the house. Wonderful night, so glad I decided to go to Cafe Sydnie Mae.
Another fabulous experience as always! The food, music, and staff were wonderful!! We have never had a bad experience when visiting…..it has always been top notch!
Best Food! Best Atmosphere! Great entertainment! Highly Recommend!
The food was FANTASTIC! The service was AMAZING! We can’t wait to go again.
Food & drinks were amazing!
Amazing dining experience, well worth the drive from Lafayette! Owners were actively engaging with all the guests and the staff made sure everything was perfect for our group all night. Every appetizer was incredible and the pork chop was out of this world. Make sure you have Lauren make you a specialty cocktail, you won’t be disappointed - can’t wait to go back!!!!
Always a good time and good food. Lauren at the bar goes out of her way to make special drinks and find the right choice for you. We always get the specials and have never been disappointed. Great food, drink, good music and great people.
One of our favorite places to eat we enjoy going every two weeks.
everything was great! so good to see the place filled with happy "unmasked" people! exciting to see all the happy faces. can't wait to go back!
We loved our meal here and wish we lived closer so we could become regulars. Our server, Sierra, was wonderful. We’re so glad we took her recommendations. The fillet and pork chop were outstanding and the bread pudding divine. A special thank you to the alchemist bartender. She has a magic touch for signature cocktails. Be sure to give this place a try. It’s a hidden gem for sure.
Great food and atmosphere. Our server, Sierra, was outstnding!
Great service, awesome food! We will be back.
Enjoyed our night! The live jazz music was great!! The food was awesome, especially the filet! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. I love how the owners stop at each table and visit and make sure everyone is having an enjoyable evening! Most definitely would recommend to anyone and everyone!
We had the Teche Wellington. It was divine. Would go back.
Great food and service. Dave, the owner, really makes you feel welcome. Second time here and we will be back.
Wonderful food and services is without doubt the best. Love it.
THE BEST BRUNCH around this area. We keep coming back for more! Sierra is the most friendly and welcoming waitress. Ask for her!
Excellent from the moment I walked in.
Y’all get to this place it’s the bomb — that bread is life changing— and our server Ciara couldn’t be more attentive and just the loveliest person ever— oh the food snd drinks were fabulous also—and the restaurant itself was a true gem —I would seriously do a Sunday drive from New Orleans just to have this bread 😂 super yum
Visiting from out of town and this place is a rare diamond find with great Cajun food, from appetizer, to entree and say room for the bread pudding or chocolate soufflé. Great specialty drink list as well. Ambiance with live background music makes for a memorable evening. Highly recommended!
This place is a GEM, great experience EVERYTIME. I would encourage everyone to make a trip there. But don't take my word for it...ITS A MUST TO CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF.
Food was great. Only thing I would add is bread being served with the entree.
I love everything about Cafe Sydnie Mae; the atmosphere, the food, the staff, the entertainment . Everything is always top notch when I dine. The owners are always there, pitching in and doing their part to make sure everyone has an enjoyable experience. Thank you for continuing to provide a great place to make memories!
Teche Wellington and Boudin-stuffed quail are highly recommended.
Delicious and a lot of fun! The servers were energetic and attentive.
Food and service was excellent. I do find the restaurant too loud. Everything we else was perfect!
Temperature was freezing, bring a jacket. Service was slow but friendly. It took an hour for our food to arrive, and when it finally did arrive, gumbo was so spicy I could eat only a few bites (and I like spicy food). It was very noisy and busy, due to a city-wide garage sale that was going on that day.
I ordered the grill porkchop it was outstanding, the service was excellent and friendly without being intrusive. Will definitely go back.
Food was very good…. Unfortunately we were there when there was a special event downtown…. It was crazy busy and very loud….. service super slow due to how busy they were. Will try again but will make sure no special events going on….
The bread on appetizer menu was delicious! Several of us had the chicken and waffles and they liked it but wasn’t crazy about sauce on chicken. Next time will ask for chicken without sauce. Croque madame very good…. Grits and grillades okay…. Not a ton of meat but grits were delicious…. Didn’t receive the biscuit that was supposed to come with it but unable to catch waitress’ attention to let her know and really it was so busy we just let it go. Caesar salad with grilled shrimp fresh and good!
Will be back….
Thank you for understanding and not dinging us, we were certainly operating beyond our limits when you visited us on Saturday. The Breaux Bridge City Wide Garage Sale brought us three times the guests for lunch than the year before and this caught us totally by surprise. Please introduce yourself or make a comment when you use your OpenTable app on your next visit so that I can make it up to you! David Puckett Owner Cafe Sydnie Mae
Good mix of traditional with Cajun. Had the pork chops, fried catfish. Crab cakes ok. Fried catfish great. Grits ok. Chocolate soufflé was delicious. Bread pudding with white chocolate good as well. Coffee was strong Community. Could have been hotter and default cream was milk. Had to ask for 1/2 and 1/2. Should be other way around. The gumbo was spicy and terrific. Authentic. Best items were desserts, fried catfish and gumbo.
Another Great Evening with fun atmosphere and incredible FOOD!
