The food was good as always, but maybe not as good as the last time I visited. They need to loose some tables and have larger tables (not enough room for appetizers) . It was VERY crowded which led to it being very very noisy. I could not hear the other 3 members of our party.
I have always enjoyed their Steak Dianne (and this visit was no exception) though I will note that in the past it had always included table side service. It was NOT included on my last visit so I (along with my party who had heard me rave about it all week) were a bit disappointed.
The meal was still great despite the subtraction of this much loved dinning experience.
Reliably great every time. Chef Ib is a local treasure.
Awesome, always awesome. I had the rack of lamb, my husband the rib-eye. Started with two different half-salads, a good size for a half, and had desserts. Food and service exemplary.
While I enjoyed the restaurant I do not enjoy the OPEN TABLE harassment of continually sending an email to evaluate my experience. I was unable to find a link to stop the harassment and so I am finally submitting this.
Excellent food; preparation and service. Steak Diane, their specialty was amazing along with the fluffy smooth mashed potatoes. The other entree was rack of lamb. Just as tasty. The service was exceptional. We've decided to go back for small plates the next time. Enjoyed the hummus, dolmas and baba ghanoush appetizer. That plus another small plate would make a nice dinner.
We made early (opening time) reservations and the hostess seated us in a dark noisy corner near the bar. She would not give us the vacant atrium table we wanted, instead she gave it to a walk-in couple a few minutes later. The reasoning that was so perfect to her was an insult to us. I wish I would have walked out. Been there before and it was a lot of fun. It will be a long time before I go back.
My son was down from Portland. He loved the Long Island Iced Tea. He ordered duck and loved it but wish it was served with risotto instead of potatoes.
Great food! Really the best in town. If you’d like a quiet restaurant experience don’t go on a weekend night. Packed and the tables are so close together. I could Hardly hear my date because of the noise. The service is awesome though and the food is amazing.
I love Cafe Soriah for dinner: The lamb dishes are the best I've ever eaten, especially the Lamb Mediterranean. All of the other dishes are excellent, too. The desserts are the best in town.
We always have the Calamari to start & save 1/2 of our entrees so we can have dessert. It's a fun, relaxing place to catch up with friends & family.
