   Great take on middle eastern breakfast with dishes you'd expect and slight modern twists. Great coffee. Great busy atmosphere.

   I absolutely adore Shenkin! The staff and food at every location is spectacular. Cannot recommend highly enough.

   Don't go here if the weather is raining - we made a booking for an indoor table, they did not have any available which meant we sat in the back courtyard and got drops of rain on us whilst eating, tables are cramped - $120 for a table of 4, food was so so, I could have made better baked eggs. Ticked off the list, but won't be returning, loads of other highly regarded places in Newtown with a better experience. We ended out leaving and going a couple of doors down to a cosy cafe with heating for coffee because we were so uncomfortable getting wet.

   I had the Shaksuka with eggplant & my friend had the Sabih. Both were so tasty, beautifully spiced. Great coffee too!!

   We came to Cafe Shenkin on a Friday night for a group catch up. The food is always good, atmosphere nice and relaxed and it wasn't loud or overcrowded. The only thing was that they only allowed diners to order the set menu which was confusing due to the al la carte menu online. It would've been nice if they had at least informed us upon booking if their website wasn't up to date.

    An absolute gem that’s tucked away on Erskineville Road (a stone’s throw from Newtown). Gorgeous food and lovely staff who are polite, friendly and professional. Highly recommend!
