We were greeted warmly at the door and the service was warm and attentive throughout our time there. Wonderful vibes with an eclectic interior design and fun music playing that was not loud or intrusive. Wine list is brief, but well curated and, after tasting a couple of wines, chose a really exquisite (and affordable) orange pecorino that paired well with both fish and beef. The tuna tartare was delicious, as was the burger and steak frites. We'll be back!

Excellent brunch. The Eggs Benedict were perfect. Friendly and attentive service, despite the place being packed and jumping on a Saturday at noon!

Love the owner and the food. I came here once for brunch; both the meal and cocktail were amazing. Then came for dinner with a friend and loved the mushroom risotto. Our fries were not too warm but thats fine i believe it’s a genuine mistake sometimes. The risotto didn’t come with a serving spoon so I went in and asked for one. She gave me a small one so that was funny. i want to come back for a nice coffee breakfast

Great food & drinks! I did the prix fix menu: ravioli with beef to start, dove sole for an entree, orange cake for dessert. All of it was delicious! My son had the salmon, also very tasty. I also tasted the curry, it was good but I like my curry spicy. Great choice for graduation weekend, amazing food!

This place is a true hidden gem! We found this place because it was close to our hotel. OMG! The food and coffees were fabulous! We started with a breadbasket of pastries (butter croissant, chocolate croissant and a butter baguette tartine) plus coffees. We also had the Duck Eggs Benedict, Parisian Omelette, and Sauvage Mama Breakfast. All meals were excellent. As an FYI, the meals were large and would recommend sharing. Restaurant is a little small. The outside seating would be great but it was raining while we were there so outdoor seating wasn't an option. We wanted to go back for another brunch but couldn't make another reservation. And no wonder, the food is fabulous.

Great food, great service. Our second time at Cafe Sauvage. This time we took family and it didn’t disappoint.

Cafe Sauvage is an absolute gem and is now a "keeper" for us! The host and servers are super courteous, informative, professional, and friendly. Although the restaurant is small (I'd recommend making a reservation if it's a popular time), they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food is the star here, with authentic French preparations with a bit of a twist and generous portion sizes. The Duck Eggs Benedict is my favorite: a bowl of yummy tender duck confit with poached eggs and frise on a hash brown bed, with a lovely lemony Hollandaise sauce. My friend said that the filet-o-fish sandwich was the best fish sandwich she'd ever eaten, and the Beef Bourguignon sandwich is my husband's favorite. The vibe is energetic, and the service exceptional. You can tell that the owners take immense pride in their creation.

Fantastique! The food, ambience, and staff are first rate. This relaxed French cafe offers extraordinary cuisine. OMG. The staff is incredible too (especially the very charming maitre d’hotel). Hands down, it’s our favorite French restaurant in the Boston area! This gem is easy to find on Mass. Ave in Back Bay by the Harvard Bridge, and also has a very well-appointed plethora of indoor plants, with sidewalk dining too. Definitely make reservations, as it’s a smaller charming space, befitting the Paris tradition!

Lovely Mother’s Day dinner! We enjoyed a special beverage and the meal was awesome. I wish the restaurant was larger and could accommodate more reservations. Look forward to returning!

Waitstaff were attentive and friendly. When asked, they informed us that substitutions were not allowed, which was unfortunate but understandable in a small place. The meat in the short rib bourguignonne was fatty. Overall okay but not great.
