New Years Eve is an odd time where Restaurants are operating out of the norm. So I can forgive the dropped balls here. We had an 8pm reservation. Since the place was practically empty when we arrived, I didn’t tell the host we had reservations until he was walking me to a table. When I told him, he stopped leading us to a table and asked us to wait. He talked to another hostess who kept shaking her head “no”. Then she came over and said that they were completely sold out and started explaining the manager should have shut down the reservation system. She kept hem hawing like she was going to ask us to leave and then finally said, if you can finish by 9 we can seat you. Why were they ready to seat us without a reservation and then had issues when they learned we had a reservation? Weird. We ordered an appetizer and two mains. Mains were brought out quickly. But they completely missed the appetizer. Food and drinks were good. Just poor organization got out nye celebration off to an annoying start. :-/

I’ve been to the restaurant before and really enjoyed myself, but this visit was completely different. Our waitress was very slow in taking our order and bringing our food. Surprised on how long everything took especially since we were there very early and way before the crowds showed up. One of the dishes had to be sent back twice because it came out wrong. It felt like we were a bother to her so decided it was best just to leave the restaurant and go somewhere else.

I was told that I never had made reservations after being in line for over an hour my party and I decided to just leave and go somewhere else. My birthday was ruined

Awful food! Nice people, but the main interest was the meal, which was worse than bad

We selected this restaurant for 'something new' and were horribly disappointed. They didn't have our reservation and had never heard of Open Table (in fact, they stated they didn't think they took reservations from anywhere except their own phone line). All this despite the fact that there was NO ONE in the restaurant when we arrived. The menu doesn't match what is online. There are very limited choices. They don't offer chips and salsa and, in fact, only offer an option that includes several other 'dips' and runs $10. I don't mind paying for chips and salsa, but to not even offer it is crazy. This is the capital of Tex-Mex! We ordered tacos, which were nothing more than street-style-sized tortillas and meat (fish for one, chicken for the other); no vegetables, no cheese, no guac. Nothing. Don't waste your time. They won't be here long.

Completely awful. We had dinner Sunday night and the place was empty. The server never asked us for drinks, we had to ask her. She was not around, so we had to wait for everything. One menu smelled of dirty dish water, another menu was missing half of the menu, and another menu was completely empty. 4 people shared one menu. The floor was sticky, as if it needed to be mopped and cleaned. The food was not good. The halibut was overcooked. It was dry and chewy. The polenta cake (in the mole dish) was extremely dry and tasteless. This visit, our first one there, was completely awful and not worth the $80 that we spent.

Came to dance to salsa/latin music for my birthday. They play great salsa 10-11-ish, but no one was dancing yet. Then it switched to mostly latin pop and other pop/dance music. They included a few more merengues, but it's definitely not a salsa dancing venue that attracts salsa dancers. Was more hopeful they would still have a live salsa band, but they said people prefer DJs. If they could improve the quality of their interior, have shows and great cuban food, it would be more what I'm looking for, but Dallas does not have a great salsa scene. Therefore, it was good enough for what we wanted to do. We had fun! They also changed it so we were up in the VIP section for our 10pm reservation, which was great until they asked us to leave before 12. They were nice about letting us stay since we didn't intend to stay too late, but we would have just kept our tables on the floor if we had known we would be kicked out at a certain time. (we did not eat there)

Good food! Water was never filled and it was freezing! In fairness, we didn't ask them to make it warmer. Nice waitress.

Food was ok. Subpar for the prices. The real tragedy was the "VIP" service offered. As we were dancing, they moved our belongings to make more room for another group, cutting off the space for our party that we paid for. Beyond that, the amount of people they allow in is mind-boggling. No one is checking maximum capacity, and the place becomes dangerously crowded while the manager shows no concern for the safety of his patrons.
