   Excellent staff and ambience. Staff is generous and extremely detail oriented but the ambience is casual and not pretentious. One of the waitresses even had the chef come out to explain how the duck had been aged as we had questions about it. And the man spoke to us for quite some time about it all - it was really interesting and informative. The food was well plated and delicious but pace yourself because there’s a lot of it. We did the tasting menu which was well worth the price. Our favorites were the oysters, the duck and the carrot cake. Really great experience and we’ll be back!

   This is possibly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! Everything from the service to the atmosphere to most importantly the food was EXCELLENT. Everyone in our party was blown away by the flavors of every dish. We went for the 4 course which was priced at $80 per person, and honestly was the right price for what we got. There is a $100 option which will get you more food if you’re hungry.

   Lots seafood. Tiny portions so get at least three portions. Great for friends or dates.

   We sat at the bar, Gello was a great bartender, he was knowledgeable about the menu, he knew all the mezcal’s and made a fantastic drink. I will definitely be back!

   Live in the neighborhood…came here when they opened in 2020…it was good not great….faat forward 3 years..and WOW!!!! New chef and kitchen staff…new front of house staff and just had probably the most amazing dinner experience ever tonight. Kudos to Chef Brandon and Demetrius and our server Renee. This restaurant is 5 star. We had the Tuna and Scallop dishes to start…the Foie Gras Duck Tortellini as a mid course and the Halibut and Duck Breast for our mains. Even the deserts were fabulous….

   Chef Skiber's food is creative, inspired, elevated yet always approachable. He delights not just your taste buds but all of his dishes look beautiful and smell incredible! The chef's tasting menu is a must and it will be a feast to remember!

   Perfect is so many ways food to service. Innovative and thoughtful menu, not a rubber stamp of the same entrees as so many restaurant menus have become. The service, kind and friendly, professional and enjoy working there.

    Cafe Salmagundi is one of the best spots in NYC. The food is unreal, the staff is extremely nice and the pricing is great. This place is a must try and I promise that you will want to come back.
