   A great place for lunch and there seasonal lunch menu 2 courses for £11 is great value. The food is well cooked and very well presented. A favourite for Saturday lunch.

   Good food as always. Poor welcome. Had booked online and kept standing inside the door for ages with my 80 year old mum and questioned about our booking. Not a smile in sight from any member of staff including the manager. I had asked online for a certain seating area near the front as its dark at rear plus my Mum would not be comfortable in a fixed booth. Eventually taken to the table we wanted ( bearing in mind the booking was for 12 noon and we were on time and there were only two or three tables occupied at that time. ) Lovely waiter but they were understaffed. 4 of our group of 5 had starters that took ages to arrive. Main courses arrived one hour 15 minutes after we had been seated. To sum up. Good food but slow service and not terribly relaxing experience.

   As always, the food and drink on offer were very good. The menu is never exciting but it provides great standard French dishes at a very good price. The waiter was incredibly attentive as always but a little intense as well. Overall, a good meal.

   Lovely staff, excellent food. Will definitely visit again should we go back to Tenterden!

   Used Tesco vouchers on the main ala carte menu Duck and Chicken dishes. Food very well cooked and Hot when it arrived at the table. Accompanying sauces very good. Sweets excellent if a little expensive Overall an enjoyable experience. Only comment seated near in house speakers the music was a little loud

   Waiter was friendly although a clean apron would have been nice table was sticky food okay chips seemed like they had sat there a while as were not hot overall not bad .

   Service was a little slow but otherwise a very nice, relaxed restaurant with excellent, very reasonably-priced food.

   Although the waiter was very good , we were not impressed with the time there . We were using a virgin experience a three course meal and drink. I gave the voucher to the waiter as soon as he seated us, but the manager I believe was very sharp with me over using the voucher and the fact that he couldn't find it, and that I hadn't booked it correctly, well they had our booking so if something went wrong it wasn't what we had done. The waiter asked what we wanted to drink whilst the manager tried to sort out what menu we should have, we were given our drinks a lemonade and lime and a glass of wine. We eventually were given a menu and ordered our food which was all fine we ordered some bread as an extra. When we come to ask for the bill for which we should only have had to pay for the wine, lemonade and bread which came to £9.65 in total but were presented with a bill for £18.53 and was told this was the balance owing . After being made to feel the way we did I wasn't in the mood to argue , this should not happen I accept we needed to pay for our extra drinks etc but the voucher should have covered our meal, we weren't given the normal menu it was a set one so maybe someone could tell me why we had to pay the extra. I would not recommend to anyone

    As always, a lovely meal at Cafe Rouge Tenterden, with nice, friendly staff. The food was, once again, delicious. Will be back soon.
