   Warm, welcoming. Laid back. No time pressure. Staff were very friendly. Food well prepared and tasty.

   A TERRIBLE experience for Mothers Day. Took an hour to get drinks, approx the same to get the main courses which arrived in dribs and drabs. Was Mothers Day and we had three mothers in our group so very disappointing. Vague and non attentive service, which was weird as the restaurant was almost empty - also they were turning everyone away. We hated it.

   Food and service were acceptable, only gripe was a gin and tonic that was ordered ,when tasted it seemed to have been mixed with soda water and not tonic ! I questioned waiter and was informed it was their own recipe tonic !! I suspect their was a hint of waffle in that explanation and if it was factual they should drop it and buy in standard tonic so customers get what they expect.

   Lovely ambience, very relaxed and beautifully decorated. Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent food - really tasty, good amounts, well cooked and a good price. Very happy all around, many thanks.

   They didn't have our booking and the service was terrible. The food was cold when it arrived.

   A very traditional Cafe Rouge. Spacious and very friendly and helpful service. Unfortunately being Mother's Day, they were overrun & as the meal went on, delays took place. I could hear lots of complaints from neighbouring tables but the waiter was literally run off his feet. He was suitably apologetic. The french onion soup was a treat but the medium rare steak was definitely over-cooked which was disappointing. Child-friendly & a place you can waste a few hours happily I would go again

   Had a perfectly good pre-theatre meal there. We informed them of our time constraints on arrival and they ensured that we received all our food quickly and efficiently. Perfectly nice food.

   This remains a more traditional looking Cafe Rouge which we prefer. The restaurant has many small areas as well as a garden area in summer - so can use for groups if needed. Service from the staff was friendly and efficient.
