   We always enjoy Cafe Rouge. It is authentic and always reminds us of a cafe in Montmatre. The food is exactly what you expect of a French restaurant so has a nice menu , is well prepared, cooked and served. Service was quick, despite the restaurant being full on Mothers Day. Hertford is convenient, set on the edge of a small square and has a few tables. We enjoyed our visit so expect t return within the next couple of weeks for an anniversary.

   We had a voucher for 50% off the price of a main meal in January at Cafe Rouge which made it very good value. The restaurant in Hertford is cosy and warm with a lively atmosphere without being too busy. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was good.

   I'm a regular customer here and love everything about this restaurant. Fabulous location, good wine selection, super service and gorgeous food. However on my last visit the good was not good. Badly cooked steak and over cooked snails. However our wonderful waitress Monika was fabulous, as always.

   Our Saturdaty lunch was very good indeed, lovely food, piping hot and nicely served. We will definitely visit again .

   Really good food and the service staff were fantastically friendly and attentive as usual. The Poulet Breton was very good, as was the apple tart and ice cream.

   We have been going to Cafe Rouge for years. The staff are always friendly, the food is very good and the service very good. We sometimes use our Tesco vouchers, we can go on a Saturday night, which make it good value and it is our favourite "chain" restaurant in Hertford.

    Called to change the time of my online booking and they had no idea that I had booked a table, you need to sort this computer system out asap. Didn't feel very special for my birthday and will not be returning for quite sometime.
